Received three pairs of custom shoes within 2 -3 weeks of ordering and had to replace a size which I was extremely nervous about and almost didn't bother because I saw it was shipped from over seas. I was so wrong I wrote a email and got a response the next day then received another with the new shipping info for replacement!
Groove bags is the ideal place to buy unusual cute stuff and get them personalized. I am excited!
I had a very good experience with this company at the beginning then it went to hell. Giving an honest review without bias, you want like to put following things in your consideration before you use the service.
1) product is shipped from China, order at least 1.5-2 month ahead
2) the Chinese company make mistake in your order/replace/exchange order, and at the time you receive the product it was over the 10days free return policy already. So just cross your fingers wish you get the right one.
3) as a back up for 2), the company give a free pair of shoes because on its website it said "if you are not satisfied" so it does not matter whether you received products as your order or the products are damaged or not (my guess is the price mark up is high already compare to the cost of the product it should cover 2pairs with 1pair price), so in case you do receive a wrong one or not fit one you'd better call the company for the 2nd pair before you even receive the 1st one.
(I did not do 3) which made me impossible to ask for a right exchange and it was a gift to a relative.)
4) the customer service is good until they send you the 2nd pair because at this point it does not worth to deal with you anymore
5) compare to the quality the shoes are overpriced but it is a good gift
Conclusion, if your order 2+month ahead and got your order all correct at the first place and you are satisfied with it, you will enjoy this company very much. Otherwise good luck.
So my order# has NO tracking information available. The order shows "fulfilled" but the merchandise has not arrived. If I knew it was coming from freaking China I wouldn't have ordered. Now to find how to get my money back.
Saw their website and loved their cat printed shoes. I read their entire website to see if they do wholesale, which they said they do. Heres what it said: Why Carry Groove Bags in your Store? A legitimate company offers you a phone number especially if they are a wholesale company, #1 red flag. I wrote them a very nice email stating I am a cat only boutique and have been in business for over 34 years. This Trish, no last name, another red flag, says they can offer me a BOGO! A BOGO is a retail term not a wholesale where you buy 1 item at full price and the 2nd item is 50% off. I was insulted, so I looked on their website again and they're offering that to EVERYONE. I sent this Trish 2 more emails. I copied and pasted the above terms they offer and what shes offering is not a wholesale price, and if she even read that I was a legitimate retailer, have a resell license as well as wholesale references. This was her response: Sorry we can't help you! So red flag #3! They are not a legitimate wholesale company! What a joke! After reading other reviews, I'm glad I'm not purchasing them. I will still with selling my Bob's for Sketchers and TUK cat shoes. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau! So anyone having problems with their purchases, report them!
More than one month since I ordered a pair of socks and haven't received them. They say the shipping is from USA, what is false, the products come from China, and they never update the shipping status. Never ever I'll buy a product again from this "store".
The website and their "customer reviews" fooled me. I received my shoes after 1 month and was shocked at the cheap quality. The canvas is very rough and hard and it hurts my feet. The value of these shoes are worth probably no more than USD10 but i paid USD40! They are made in China!
Wow after reading these other reviews I'm wondering if we're talking about the same company. I got a pair of shoes which were one size too big. When I emailed Groove Bags they got back to me the next business day. Not only were they right on it, they told me not to worry about returning the first pair. We like to give back they said, donate the first pair to a homeless shelter or give them to a friend. What's wrong with that? I'll order again.
Can't walk - so much pain in my left knee after wearing the shoes for two days. Do to NO support. I have never had pain before in this knee and have to use crutches to get around that is how bad my pain is. Too bad because the shoes fit and I actually liked them even though they are not really well made. I really messed up my knees and will not be able to wear them anymore and wasted 45 dollars.
I wish I had read the other reviews before ordering. I would give 0 stars if it were possible.
I used their size charts to order and the sizes I got still were all way too big. Shipping took forever, and was from CHINA which they never mentioned on their website, not even on their "About Us" page, which said they're in Washington state.
The shoes stunk terribly! A very strong chemical smell which did not get less after opening.
They were also of really poor, cheapest quality!
On top of all that, upon mentioning the about things in an email to their customer service, I got a rude reply placing the blame on me for ordering the wrong size, for not paying extra for expedited shipping, etc.
Besides that, I'm required to pay the return shipping myself! (At least only to Washington state and not to China.)
Please save yourself the trouble and waste of time, energy and money. Yes, their stuff looks cute online, but that's not what you get.:-(

Shipped directly from Fujian China. Save your money. The boxer bag I bought was cheap vinyl. Legitimate companies give away better quality bags for free. No phone, no email, no customer service. Don't waste your time or money.
I have order two product but received only one after paying custom charges. They show as the company and product is from USA but you will receive low quality item at high price (and sometime do not receive) from china. I would never recommend this shop unless they improve their shipping and quality.
Save your money, these are rubbish. Worse than cheap shop shoes. I could make a better pair myself out of garbage. Awful.
DON'T bother to go on this site! Their reviews on the site are ALL 4/s and 5/s. What you get for the deal is NOTHING but CRAP! Quality is GARBAGE and I'd NEVER recommend it to ANY! I ordered custom sneakers and they sent me them w/ONE pic on them and i asked for TWO! I ordered a tote bag and it was made like CRAP! I ordered sox and they felt like sausages on my legs. The stuff is GARBAGE! YOU WILL get BOMBARDED to DEATH w/emails once you go on there! The stuff SHIPS from CHINA so BEWARE! Tho they claim its a "family business from WASHINGTON STATE!" BEWARE! Do not buy. Okay so I paid almost $50 for pair of casual shoes... I waited a long time to get my order and when It came I was pretty damn disappointed. The shoes on the site look really great but the print I got on my shoes looks fuzzy, they're not comfy. The fabric on top is frayed and the shoe sole is really bad quality and somehow also frayed. I feel like when I pay that much for a pair of simple shoes I should be getting better quality without $#*!ty stitching.
This company is NOT based in Washington State. They have extremely slow service and the products are of poor quality.
I did order a pair of shoes and a pair of socks. I was getting nervous because after three weeks I had no shipping information or tracking info. So I looked them up on BBB to see if this was a scam (I know too late) and read some stuff that made me feel awful about not doing my research.
The products are "made to order". That I knew. However I did NOT know they were being made in and shipped from China until AFTER I paid and got a receipt. I make a conscious choice to buy USA made products so I would not have ordered them if I had that info. The company was listed in Washington so I never gave that any thought. All in all though the shoes and the socks showed up about 6 weeks after ordering. They came in one box. In spite of them being 2 separate order transactions in which I paid for shipping twice. The shoes were nice and pretty decent quality but the socks are garb. Sorry. Just cheap tubes, no shape socks. Plus 9 bucks I paid for shipping and they came in the box with the shoes I had also paid for shipping on. I think they are an okay company but pushing business ethics a bit by little deceptions. China isn't the only reason I wouldn't order again, even though I did get what I ordered.

I paid $60 for a pair of slip on shoes, thinking they are so cute and look great in the picture. I received them very late and when I finally received them they were a $5 pair of cheap shoes. Cardboard soles and the material was so hard and wide. The size I received said it was a 7 1/2 but they are more like 8 1/2.

This company has the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. They are running a bunch of holiday offers, plastering their site with it, but meanwhile they say they can't guarantee Christmas delivery on orders beyond November 10th. Not only is that ridiculous, but I find it totally scammy they run holiday deals knowing full well they won't meet deadlines. I contacted customer service about this and said it's a Christmas gift, and asked if I could have it shipped directly to the person I was buying this for since I'd miss her passing through town and would be at Christmas empty handed for her now. I got a snippy short response back saying they can't cancel my order and their ship times are located in their FAQs and no acknowledgement of updating the shipping address to my friend. I followed up asking if they could at least update the ship to address to my friend, and an hour or two later received a shipping notification of course not going to my friend. The lovely customer service rep then replied saying "it's already shipped". Gee, thanks, how incredibly helpful. I was told I can contact USPS to see if they can eventually change the ship to address. Oh, and fun fact, these are coming from China because my item is sitting in China as we speak so, not sure how I can talk to USPS about that (nothing like dumping the burden on your paying customer!). This company does not care about their customers, they hire cheap labor, and produce junk products. Spare yourself. You can find plenty of similar products on Etsy from quality sellers or on Amazon Prime. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
