Overall good experience with vehicle, check in, and return. It was a clean indoor facility. They have every little scratch and dent documented when you pick up vehicle. We had no issues at return, but I would recommend you take pictures when you pick up your vehicle.

The car had no issues at all, just a few minor marks that were barely visible. It was clean and full of petrol too. I found it easy to book the car and check in online beforehand. The pick up and drop off process was smooth as always and the staff are helpful and chatty. The price was the cheapest out of all the other car hire providers as I booked through Ryanair.

Rented a mid-size van for transporting exhibition hardware to the NEC. Van was new but with a few dinks however the rate for 3 days was amazing. Had good customer service both when I went I collected the van but even better when I returned it. The staff at the Holiday Inn site were knowledgeable and friendly.

Appeared at the GM desk in Frankfurt airport, very conveniently located just a few steps from our arrival gate. The paperwork was completely very quickly and efficiently. I had already seen that the rental price, including full insurance, was very competitive.
The car itself was in the basement garage just below the arrivals hall, again extremely convenient - no having to wait for a shuttle bus etc.
The car was new, clean and everything worked perfectly.

Excellent service, very professional and helpful staff. Superb vehicle for the low rental price. All highly satisfactory.
Unfortunately, I arrived at night in the traffic chaos of Istanbul and was given a vehicle with an empty tank. So I started my vacation with a very nervous search through the mess of motorways around the airport in this totally unknown city, without any navigation, looking for a filling station, all the time expecting to run out of fuel and stop at any moment. I thus ended up miles from the intended route and needed another hour to find my way back again.
The correct drop-off location or address was also not indicated in any of the correspondence or documents. Had to find this out myself before returning.
Were it not for these two problems, I would have given 5 stars. I will definitely use GM again in the future, but next time will take more precautions.
Very quick and efficient, highly recommend and would certainly use again.

I travel the world and can confidently say I have never found d a better hire car company. Staff are helpfully and hardly ever a que as they seem to have loads of staff. Just a shame they are not more available

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
