In the reservation on line the offices atvthe airport do not tell the client they are Not at the airport but close

The car was a bit fair for the price. Small engine and no mobile phone charger, for example (the one that was there didn't work).
As for pick up and drop off, everything was fine. There was only a bit of a wait on arrival but the return was very quick.

The only drawback was the time I had to wait at the airport for the transfer.
The rental service is literally 2 km away from the airport (if only i'd known).
I had to wait 45 minutes for them to pick me up.

I had been referred to Green Motion by a family member. The first time I tried two years ago, they were comparable in price. This time, they were 1/3 the cost of my normal rental dealership.
Like other off-site car rental companies at the Toronto Pearson Airport, they pick-up at the Viscount Station. I saw the Green Motion pick-up car twice while I waited for my regular car rental company to come and get me. This faster service is a main selling point for me. My actual rental is a month away so I have yet to determine the full experience.

Never rented a car on my own before, except for a Home Depot delivery truck once. I'll do my best to never have to again. Gentleman my husband spoke with at Green Motion's direct phone number, NOT a random website, said he could secure car rental, as in reserve with his credit card and my name and I could use my own credit card to pick up and pay. Different person in the actual physical building said no.
So much back and forth just to leave with the car. Man who retrieved the car was disgustingly rude. Not worth the hassle and risk.

I booked online and paid £139.30 (there is no option of pay at counter) when I went to get the car, i had physical copy of my license, which they did not accept and wanted the original physical license. I couldn't not provide so they did not give me a car. Now I requested to raise a refund, Which was first denied and then upon further request has been escalated to Customer Service team. Fingers crossed I get back my hard earned Money.

On the first lease day I got yellow warning light. I had a problem with my right back tyre of the car Renault Megane. I contacted couple of times the lease contact service and Renault service came within one hour. They could not hel because it s the tyre there was inflated small balloon. Renault tecnical service reported to Customer service of Green Motion. Technical service clarified and recommended not to drive the car. I asked leasing service to change this car and contacted 10 times but unfortunately nobody is going to solve this problem. I paid for the Full casco insurance and the leasing costs. After 6 hours waiting I am sad due to lack of service and Greenmotion can not help to fix this problem.

We made a reservation for a car, reservation number WOS-**************. On the official website of green motion. The reservation was confirmed. At 11:00 we were at the green motion counter at the airport. There was no representative at the counter. The contact number indicated in the reservation did not answer, we called several times. We went to the next window to the AVIS representative. She said that she would call the representative. He picked up the phone and said that there were no cars, and this was some kind of mistake, asked to cancel the reservation. We explained that we needed a car, and if we canceled the reservation, the deposit would be written off. The representative said he would cancel the order. The fact of presence at this time can be confirmed by the Avis representative, and the cameras at the airport. There is no cancellation yet, and no refund either. There is no communication, and if there are no cars, for what reason is the reservation made?

All's good with the car rental, as usual with GreenMotion. Pick-up and return go smoothly.
I don't always get the car I 'ordered' on the website, though as they say, it's equivalent, and the price is as posted. Not a big deal. And the cars seem to be new models, always in good shape.
One issue I have with these 'new' models though is that they become more 'electronic' by the day.
One example with my latest - Dacia - was the radio, which wasn't even a radio, with dial/knobs, not even digital tuner, but was on the stick on the steering wheel.
I don't appreciate all this new electronic controls, I don't have a hour to sit in the parking lot trying to figure out how to even turn on the radio, or change stations... or to work the air conditioning, and once on the road am afraid to touch anything for fear of the car shutting down and not being able to restart it.
These electronics are really getting to be out of hand.
This model though handled well, good pickup...
Anyway, once on the road all was Ok. Though I didn't touch the radio again, or anything else. Had it only for a day so viss bija kartiba. All Ok.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
