Met pick up in faro airport and swiftly driven to pick up location. Car was spotlessly clean and staff were lovely and efficient. I had read some negative reviews online and did consider cancelling reservation but decided to go ahead with booking thankfully. Can not fault company and definitely will be recommending them and using them again next time I'm in faro

We originally hired a kia sportage or similar seeing as there was going to be 4 of us with suitcases and bags they gave us a lovely new car but we couldn't fit 4 cases in so they were very helpful letting us go around cars they had in to try find one as luck would have it a kia had come in but had only been cleaned inside and wasn't to bad on the outside so they let us take it on return no problems either very straightforward would hire again with them

Everything was ok when we came back and the ben another dealer came and testes the closure of the car and Said it was broken they took for that 700 euros. And we didnt use the closure because there was an electronic key.and after we left they decided the tires had mud on it so they took 231 euros on my bank. They are liers on brindisi. So dont go to this agency.

Had a lovely car, pick up was smooth friendly and easy. Drop off equally impressive.
Luckily, we had no problems with any processing fees - there had been the small possibility of a mistaken parking fee (a pub with number plate recognition, 3rd party etc - but luckily able to cancel problem in pub next day).
However, later on contacting "Admin Stansted" to forewarn and ask them to keep a note on file to circumvent any unnecessary processing fees - we received an unfriendly terse "we are obliged to charge for any processing" response - not friendly atall in the Admin department! Left me needing to keep notes, receipts from pub on file etc - not the friendly personal response I had hoped for from Green Motion (We usually use Green Motion when we visit the UK, as they offer an efficient, friendly service!

We would like to take this opportunity to explain that in the event a parking fine is received, we are duty bound to transfer the liability of the fine into the name of the driver. We are not able to contest fines on behalf of the driver. Unfortunately, we are charged when transferring the liability of a fine, which is why an admin fee still has to be applied. The actual car hire was fine but I had to use my credit card to cover a damage waver of £1505. Even though the return report showed no damage, they will not return my deposit and I am now getting my credit card company involved

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges.
Please visit https://greenmotion.com/terms and select the country you rented from to see the deposit information which will advise the general timeframe that you can expect for the release of the deposit.
Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you.
Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you.

Cars old and battered. I had to change the first vehicle as the tyres were illeagal.
Still waiting for deposit to be returned nearly 2 months after returning the vehicle.

Met on arrival at the airport. Concluded in the parking lot. Staff very courteous and helpful. Drop off was the same. Next time in South Africa will most certainly use again.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
