Two days after returning and handing over the rental vehicle to one of their employee on duty, Green Motion Zurich has emailed me that the vehicle was found with a few clear coat scratches, so they have charged my credit card with the amount of CHF 2625. 41 to cover the damages repair cost. This means over 4500 Canadian Dollars for three superficial scratches on the clear coat, The pictures they provided showed one scratch on the hood and two more on the passenger side rear door. Told them that this is a mistake, their employee who received the car couldn't find anything wrong with it, they said the car was wet and scratches weren't visible, so the charge stays, Also that the cost of repair is up to the Swiss standards. Unbelievable!

Condition of the vehicle should be better ( several damages all over)
Really negative - waiting one month for the return of the deposit of 2500 GBP, only after claiming. It seems that deposit retention is part of the business. I rent a car last week with Budget and the deposit was returned on the next day... following actual banking possibilities it is not admissible.

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges.
Please visit https://greenmotion.com/terms and select the country you rented from to see the deposit information which will advise the general timeframe that you can expect for the release of the deposit.
Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you.
Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you.

I was charged for a chip on front window that was not done by me, also it was never repaired but still I was charged 100 punds, pure scam

Advisor in airport was very friendly - Makes and sorted as very quickly. He also was kind enough to call special service bus between airport and car park as we travelled with two kids and had two have also two car chairs. Car was very good and in immaculate condition. Great experience overall.

Pick up was reasonably prompt. Good service given throughout. Language a bit of a barrier with staff but ok.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
