Right from the start the service was exquisite! My flight was delayed and the gentleman from the car rental called me to ask of everything was alright and that he will come and pick me up as soon as I'm done with my luggage. No pushing for premium insurance, just a normal, civilised conversations. Upon returning the car the same gentleman was kind enough to allow 30 min extension without additional charges. Highly recommended

Everything almost was alright, but one thing was really bad the key, they gave me the second key which one was broken and I have to fix it for my own money. I'm very disappointed, very unprofessional, I didn't expect that from that company!

Rip off and they know it... don't use... used 3rd party broker and paid for all my cover online, got to desk was told that they didn't accept my method of payment and essentially had to pay again double with half being "holding" which I was told would be refunded on return, now I've been told a few weeks after complaining. Not worth the hassle. Stay clear.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
