Dont book go to gate with a credit card as you are not covered under section 75. It is better to book direct. Avoid third parties companies like this.
The worst experience to travel through this company is that there are no ways to communicate with them. If an email is sent to them, the response will be after the end of the trip.

Stay away from gotogate. The website is confusing. Once you have figured it out you are charged for tickets you didn't purchase. Getting a refund is ridiculous. You must first call the airlines to cancel. The airlines then will credit some other credit card that it was used from gotogate. Then you call gotogate and let them know the flight was cancelled. Gotogate will charge $57 dollars cancellation fee and refund you 2-8 weeks later. I cancelled the flight 1 hour after it was done, it took me two days to file a refund. I am still waiting for my refund. It's been 3 weeks. Stay away. Very unfriendly. They are a scam. Trust me.
Horrible service! They couldn't help me with a mistake they made on their end. They misspelled my last name by one letter on the boarding pass. On top of this they wanted to charge me to fix it, and when I asked to speak with a supervisor; suddenly my call was ended.

Please travelers do not use this company they are the worst ever they charged $54 fee if you decide to cancel any trip after one minute.
Horrible customer service, they booked the wrong flight on the wrong day and to the wrong state, then gave me a run around on my refund. I had to spend more money out of my pocket for another flight. Was told 7-10 days I would have refund followed up on 13th day customer rep then says 2-4wks. Then I asked to speak with supervisor to voice my frustration and concerned and I am told he could not connect me that i have to go to the site and send a email. Horrible customer service at this point im sure i was just scammed. Do NOT USE GOTOGATE! PLUS THEY ARENT EVEN IN THE STATES
I wish i had read the reviews before i booked the tickets. Once the button is pressed, you are done. Anything after that is paid. Forget about all the airline policies. Now you are dealing with 2 set of policies. One from airlines and one from these. Airlines polices can still be managed, but with gotogate, its like paying them for the services for which they charge on their website, but even they don't know what they are about.
They charge for cancellation within 24 hrs, premium charges for seat selection, charge for meal selection which airlines might not be even offering (seriously?). There money refund is 7-9 business days. I don't even want to start on the polite behavior and professionalism of the call center guys.
On a whole, very regretting experience. Stay away as much as you can.

This company is the TOTAL CROOK. I lost 426 for a flight it was scheduled on the 17th of Dec 2019.
I had from the beginning paid almost 50, an additional cost for cancellation protection.
A day before the flight I got very sick I did very carefully all it was written to their regulation's form (I sent them a doctor's certificate to prove that I am not lying) so as to cancel my flight and they never respond to this.
I communicated with them by phone and as I was trying to understand the reason why, the line cut off. The follwing days I sent them two mails again, trying to get a radical response. I just took an automated response:
"We are very sorry to inform you that we cannot refund you because you didn't follow the regulations".

Wish I had read the reviews before buying my tickets through Gotogate. Avoid this agency at all costs, they are a scam company.
Bought a ticket from NYC to Tel Aviv through Aeroflot several weeks in advance. Needed to change my flight by a single day. Aeroflot allows for a $50 change charge, or a free cancellation altogether. However I was told I need to change the flight through Gotogate. Gotogate sent me over to Aeroflot several times as well, telling me that they will assist me.
Gotogate wouldn't allow me to cancel my flight, even though less than 24 hours passed. They pretended to check Aeroflot's policy several times, asking me to wait. Then saying I can't cancel. Changing the flight would cost $161 dollars, almost the entire amount is Aeroflot fees.
They basically said I should have paid for flexible tickets, tough luck. Part of the fees I needed to pay include "customer support" (around $30).
Moral of the story: always buy through the airline directly. Or at the very least don't use Gotogate!
Please be warned not to use this provider, their customer service is beyond shocking and they made multiple mistakes. I booked a direct trip for my disabled mother to fly from Manchester to Brisbane with a layover in Hong King and the booked the wrong dates. The booked her direct flight 1 week apart so her layover was 5 days and would not rectify or refund her trip. They did not request disability assistance, they would not help me fix the issues. I spend 3 hours on hold the day before her flight and was passed from department to department. Their departments clearly consist of 1 - 2 people each max as i spoke to the same people multiple times and was never transferred to the right department, no one called me back, i couldn't make a complaint, every time i asked to speak to a supervisor i was told to call back in 4 hours! The customer service people were incredible incompetent and beyond rude to me. My disabled mother is now a further $4000 out of pocket as we have had to book alternate flights. Please hear this warning and pay the extra $100 to book directly with the airline!

They sent me a Dear sir or madam email stating my return flight from Bangkok had been cancelled, at the same time I received an email from Air China stating a time change with no mention of cancellation. Being unsure if gotogate email was correct as I was unnamed on it and reference number didn't appear to be correct I have over the past week made many attempts to contact them for conformation and only occasionally got a robotic reply and that was of no use. Not at all happy as I don't know where I stand and arranging an alternative flight will cost me a lot of money.
Hi, i have tickets to China at this time and is normal i want change my tickets for nexts days because of virus, i call in UK from Norway use 5 hours listing not understandable broking English, i did't say what i talk perfect but this workers make some drama, whey every time say they can't change tickets because air company not flying. I can get me new tickets for 1k pounds but i pay before 1k. And for call bills i must pay 50 euro and they get nothing for me i only waiting and nothing.
