I do not understand travel consolidators like GoToGate, why they sometimes have cheaper prices than others but why they make it so difficult to do business.

I was booking a flight on Scoot. GotoGate had it advertised as $490, Scoot was $525. When I tried to actually book, Gotogate became $525 but Scoot became $600.
I wanted to add a bag, Scoot wanted $35, Gotogate wanted $105! So I booked the flight with Gotogate and then added a bag with Scoot for $40.
The booking with Gotogate didnt use my email, they created some fake email to make my life difficult. They didnt use the airline booking PNR, they created their own, again just to make my life difficult.
Still, I guess I saved $50 or so, so great...

Please stay away from this booking website! "gotogate" they have scammed me on my tickets. I booked 2 tickets with them

Do not ever book with them. I booked an air Senegal through them on may 20th; flight got cancelled and I've been waiting for a refund for 3 months after the airline cancelled the flight. I've still not received the refund, instead they're telling me stories to contact the airline; which I did not book with, and when I do contact the airline, they're telling me they've already sent them a coupon for the refund. I will never use this agency. I recommend no one use them.

Requested change flight dates and left me in the dust for 2 days saying would contact me, and never happened. When I contacted them to tell me that is not possible, please whoever is booking through this agency,avoid at all cost, Expedia and others offer credit for any change flight date, these people offer your ticket $ donations to corporation since give you nothing. I already see reply air company policy blah blah,if others can do,why can"t you?
