The meal from Mighty Quinn's was excellent! The sweet potato casserole was amazing, simply the most fantastic casserole ever. The brisket baked beans was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of spice to it. The meat was tender and perfect. The Mac and cheese was unbelievable and decadent.
The delivery was on time and the sides where still frozen.
I got the 7 piece cake sampler from Carlos Bakery for my mother Birthday she just had a big number. We been sampling a cake everyday and wow they are all wonder and I can't even pick a favorite. Every cake is yummy. My mom and I have been splitting a piece to share dailly so we can sample them all. She just had a big number birthday and was very surprised said was the best birthday cake she has ever had.
Order was weather related delayed but you kept in constant contact to let me know when it would be delivered. Cheesecake was amazing!
The product arrive in perfect condition and tasted as fantastic as it was when I had it originally at the restaurant! The first order discount was a pleasant surprise!
I sincerely question the positive reviews. My order was never delivered even when the transport service said it was. I was at home at the exact time of the "delivery", there was no delivery! Please please please, save yourself the time and MONEY! The customer service department doesn't exist. Don't believe me? Try calling them for yourself.
For my very first goldbelly experience I ordered top shelf caviar (good promotion, I thought) from Thomas Keller and also Pizza from Brooklyn.
The pizza was delayed for many days so I cancelled the order.
Worse was that the caviar was not delivered over night and it was not packed with ice packs! It came warm and the box smelled. When I requested a refund and offered to ship the unopened package back, Goldbelly said "NO Refunds". Even for an inedible order of caviar. There is no phone access and the email correspondence was bad.
I would not order again and I'm truly shocked at this experience.
I ordered a product through them on November 9th, a nice cheese assortment for an upcoming Friendsgiving on Nov 23rd. They sent a FedEx tracking number with an estimated delivery date of Nov 13th. Once the product did not arrive on that date, I checked the tracking number. The item had not even been sent to FedEx yet, they just created a label. I emailed them asking about the status and was ignored.
On Nov 22nd I opened a case with PayPal. Of course I've that happened they responded, but only though PayPal messages and lied about not receiving the emails (the email address they provided and told me to reply to). I told them how I felt and demanded a refund. They have yet to respond to my email or refund me (it is Dec 4th).
We have used Goldbelly many times and have always been pleased. Every Christmas we order Struffoli from Ferraras and this summer we ordered lobster rolls from Maine. It all came on time, fresh and delicious!
Received a promotional email for a $50 discount on a piecaken (several different pies baked between cake layers). The offer had no expiration date but was product specific. I received the offer on a Sunday and as the promo code was not included in the email, I could not place the order online.
Iwhen I called to place my order, I was told the offer I had received 3 days earlier had expired. I emailed the offer to Zack at customer service and he agreed there was no expiration date. The bait and switch attempts by Goldbelly are quite brazen. Zack next told me I could have a $15 discount but I asked him to honor the promotion I had recently received.
Zack next offered the $50 discount but only if it was broken down into 2 $25 discounts on two separate orders. I asked for a supervisor and was promised a callback that day. The call never came. I placed my order on a recorded line on a Friday and stated that I would like to use the promotion I had received.
I received an email confirming my order and a charge of $85.00, rather than $50 I had confirmed with Zack. My emails were never acknowledged. No call back on Monday. The cake had shipped out with the overcharge. Finally managed to get through to customer service on Tuesday. I was told that "frankly, the ad is misleading." I never got to a supervisor and although this was a Thanksgiving order they rerouted my cake back to them 2 days before Thanksgiving No concept of customer service and blatantly false advertising. My second negative experience with them. Never again! Gold belly, keep in mind the old adage that " a satisfied customer shares their experience, on average, with 3 friends. An unhappy customer tells everyone."
Goldbelly does a superb marketing job for the various companies they represent and the website is top notch. I doubt that the companies represented by Goldbelly are aware that the poor customer service costs them sales and negatively impacts the reputation of their business.
We ordered four of the Gino's East deep dish pizzas through Goldbelly.com. It was pretty awful. We heated one of them up, and even made it a bit on the crispy side because of the thick crust. It looked good, but just had one slice and threw out the rest. So disappointing. The toppings and cheese are good, but the sauce is ho-hum, and crust is too thick and tasteless. Save your money, frozen pizza from the grocery store is better. Goldbelly was not much help, just a $15 coupon for our next order. That is not happening.
The sole purpose of this company is to get exciting food safely delivered to a customer. They failed when I bought a birthday cake for my granddaughter through Goldbelly. The cake was misdelivered, my granddaughter got no birthday cake because when it was finally delivered to the wrong people it was already 6pm. Goldbelly responded but telling me it was delivered, and they only refund or give credit for food that is not as described. HUH? You are a delivery service! They were snotty and snarky and I lost $70 in this. I will go over to Carlos Bakery, who baked the cake, and I will tell them about my experience. Maybe they will drop this terrible company. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
My order wasn't going to arrive on time, I had to tell them about it, they offered me credit or to deliver two days later. Birthday cupcakes. I said I would consider the later shipment as long as I would be compensated somehow and they said no. I demanded a full refund instead of credit and they agreed, so far.
This company was amazing. I was difficult to say the least worried about my order arriving on time. They returned every call and email and were always pleasant and my order DID arrive on time! I will order from them again and next time I won't be such a pest.

I just purchased vegan pizza through goldbelly. What did I like about it?
Amazing texture. Amazing taste. As a matter of fact my Italian buddy couldn't tell the pizza was vegan and even commented on how good the "cheese" was. The options are fantastic. Fun service.
These bagels taste like real New York bagels! They are delicious, appropriately chewy and arrived freshly packaged and right on time. I will definitely order again (in fact, this is my second order in a month!)
I ordered a birthday cake for my son via Goldbelly, from Carlos Bakery (Cake Boss). It was so easy to do the ordering, I got a confirmation and the cake got there exactly when stated it would. My son said it was the best cake he'd ever had and it tasted like it just came out of the oven. I will order again and again through Goldbelly as it was so easy. Next time it will be pizza for my son and his friends.
Bought my college daughter the Halloween donuts as a surprise. She sent me a photo and they were completely trashed, the icing melted off and stuck to the inside of the box, and this was going to Colorado in October it is NOT HOT outside. Worse, they blocked me on Facebook when I told them I was going to leave a negative review. So that's how they get around anyone being dissatisfied. The bakery was mortified and offered to send another batch, but Goldbelly was horrible customer service and very dishonest. Do not stand behind their service at all. And these third party shippers do not care at all about the product so they obviously aren't careful. Just buy local and have them hand deliver... Goldbelly is trash.
Goldbelly is the perfect way to send a nice edible gift to a client or customer that you know they'll enjoy. The options are many, so I was able to send a gift that went along with a theme and fit the customers dietary preferences, so it was a win win all the way around. That meant vegan chocolates for one, and sugar free cheesecake for another - so nice to be able to really wow folks! Definitely will use them for any specialized gifting needs!
I ordered a $99 smoked fish platter thinking I would receive what was pictured. Not even close. When I voiced my complaint, they told me we do not refund or compensate customers for being unhappy with their products.
I have enjoyed what I have bought so far, even reordered items. I love looking at the website to see what's new.

Answer: They aren't necessarily a scam, but very poor customer service policies. If anything goes wrong with your order, like it did with mine, they just blocked me from their Facebook page so I couldn't leave a review. It's just luck if your order arrives and looks as you would expect and if it doesn't you are out of luck. Just contact local bakeries or restaurants and have them deliver for you, no reason to pay Goldbelly and have a third party who cares nothing about your order throw it around in the back of their truck and deliver it trashed. Goldbelly is unscrupulous and a big risk of wasted money.
