My sister and I have ordered for our parents from different vendors at least 4 times during pandemic. Awesome choices that spoiled them at a tough time. Delivery as promised. This service has literally transformed gift giving for us- stellar products worth sending.
They were packaged perfectly and moist. My son loves this cupcake shop.
This place was supposed to deliver a cake that was ordered 10 days ago. However instead of a delivery I got a message that their supplier sold out and wont be able to deliver until a later date.
It was a bday cake, so now I have to look for a place to buy something last minute. So frustrating and so unprofessional.

Items were cold when they arrived and the tracking provided by gold belly was easy to follow
Chocolate Mousse cake was damaged. Cake top was smooshed onto plastic wrap leaving a hole in top. Also cake was not cold but warm. For amount of money spent for cake & shipping, greater care should have been taken for product to arrive in pristine condition. Expressed my concern with Goldbelly & awaiting their reply. Won't order again!

Fat Mama's said the tamales would be shipped on Monday July 27 and arrive on Thursday July 30. Fat Mama's did not actually ship until Tuesday July 28@4:13pm and the tamales arrived in Tullahoma, TN@2:14pm Thursday afternoon July 30. The box was clearly identified as 'PERISHABLE'. Four dozen tamales were packed well in a small sealed styrofoam cooler with two large ice-packs [not dry ice]. The ice-packs were still partially frozen and the tamales were all cold - but not frozen. We were very pleased with this shipment.

Answer: They aren't necessarily a scam, but very poor customer service policies. If anything goes wrong with your order, like it did with mine, they just blocked me from their Facebook page so I couldn't leave a review. It's just luck if your order arrives and looks as you would expect and if it doesn't you are out of luck. Just contact local bakeries or restaurants and have them deliver for you, no reason to pay Goldbelly and have a third party who cares nothing about your order throw it around in the back of their truck and deliver it trashed. Goldbelly is unscrupulous and a big risk of wasted money.
