I inadvertently put my $100 donation amount in the tip box. WOW was I stressed! Sent a message through "Contact Us" and had a response within the hour. I have also used Gofundme.com for two separate fundraisers and both were successful. Will definitely use again!

Speed of a request

I inadvertently doubled my donation. One to Andy and the same to the "fund". I requested the tip back, and i had a response within an hour. Was very impressed with how gracious that person was. I will tip. Just not now.

Most times when I contact customer service via the website, it's a few days before anyone gets back to me. I don't even think I waited an hour before I got an email and everything was resolved. Just unbelievable and amazing customer service and I work in customer service everyday. So thank you!

GoFundMe Customer Service representatives always responded in a timely fashion to any questions I had regarding our GoFundMe Campaign. Receiving a quick response helped reassure any concerns we had. We were always satisfied with the answers given. Customer Service representatives were always positive and found solutions to our problems.

Patient service

GoFundMe has helped our organization fund the needs of our rescued animals for which I am very grateful. Inevitably when we contact the Helpdesk, we are already angry having tried to resolve an issue and failed. The customer service representative then gets the brunt of our frustration. Kim kept her cool while I was losing mine and we finally got the problem sorted out. So my rating is for the patience shown by Kim in my hour of need.

I tried raising money for an important cause as well more then once and never had any attention with it at all, i think the whole thing is a scam and is useless and there is never anyone to help you when you have a question

It would seem that this group has only the best intentions in the beginning. What could be more honorable than helping people raise funds for all sorts of needs and causes? That is all well and good, until the layers of the organization begin to reveal themselves. They claim to all legit and transparent. But, my experience says quite the opposite. GoFundMe changed their website and most of the formatting overnight, without any explanation. I spent a couple of weeks of trying to get to the bottom of why donor information was no longer available. I received all sorts of answers that they were working on it... and then no answers at all. Finally, I was sent an email stating that because of new privacy legislation in the European Union (?), donor information is no longer available. Okay, that made no sense. Most of my donors were in the US and one person in Iceland. But why did it take weeks to get that answer? Only after berating them with repeated emails, did I get this little bit of an answer. They have no customer service number to call... and when I requested that they please call me... the answer was, "we don't call". Because of the lack of reports available... no donor list, no complete disbursement/withdrawal list... I started to become suspicious of this groups intentions. Not only do they solicit tips from donors, they are vague to donors as to where that money goes. I'm glad this fundraising campaign was successful. But... it was not due to any assistance from GoFundMe. Also after the revamped website "appeared" without explanation, many of the functions disappeared or were no longer functional. I was told if it works on the app... use the app. This is a lousy explanation. SO, I would not recommend this site... there are so many others. Beware of any organization that will not communicate with you directly.

In order to serve thousands of customers daily and keep written record of important account details, we currently offer full customer support through email only. We are constantly looking to streamline the GoFundMe experience, and recently simplified parts of the campaign management process in order to do so - we understand the changes may take some getting used to, but ultimately, we look forward to more people more seamlessly able to raise the needed support. We've also transitioned to a 0% GoFundMe platform fee for new personal campaigns in the US (and some other countries), to help campaign organizers keep more of what they raise. We are now powered by voluntary donor tips, which allows GoFundMe to continue running. As you mentioned, we have also needed to comply with new data protection regulations, causing some private donor information to no longer be available. However, we can certainly still provide you with complete withdrawal records, and lists of donations. We sincerely appreciate your feedback, and your understanding as we work to keep GoFundMe the safest place to give.

Horrible Service

I have never seen a business or organization with no phone number to call. The email response is so generic and I can't reach anyone to help. I'm raising a charity for an orphanage and we did so well in one day, they ended up closing my account, refunding all the donations we raised with no valid reason, investigation or even responding to my emails

We understand this is not ideal for each and every customer, and that is not something we take lightly. Serving our customers through email does allow us to efficiently respond to all inquiries though, ensuring all customers reaching out to us can quickly receive the help they need in some of the toughest times. For the security of all on GoFundMe, our Trust & Safety and Community Management Teams do review all campaigns to ensure they meet our Terms, and that funds can reach the intended recipient. Certain aspects of your account setup will also need to be completed by noted time frames to ensure funds can be sent to you safely, rather than being refunded to donors. In the case of any holds or refunds, our team will reach out to you to notify you with any non-proprietary information, and we appreciate your understanding.

Here is another group of pseudo high techies who want to be rich, rich, rich off the sob stories of folks who want and need things. The truth is that GoFundMe openly censors requests they just don't like or if their sponsors, like Big Pharma, tell them to censor. GofundMe absolutely will not support any funding request that involves real issues, real causes and important civil rights. These are the same cry babies who need a safe room as adults to spend hours on their adult coloring books and gaining expertise with Playdough. Snotty, smug and pocketing money on other people's sob stories without any concern whatsoever for protecting inalienable civil rights or those victimized by the despicable abuse and misuse of official power. GoFundMe lack any compassion, empathy or support for the few courageous Americans who are standing up for the rights of all Americans. Shameful.
