It was easy to make a donation on the GoFundMe site. This site made it easy to follow through on a request from a friend on Facebook. I made a mistake when I was completing the online form, and had an immediate response to my request for help. The response was polite, helpful, and immediately solved the problem.

Responses to my queries came quite quickly, which was great as I was very focused on what I was doing and didn't want to sit around for hours waiting for a reply - I needed to complete the campaign and get it reviewed to start sending out. Answers were exactly on point, I didn't need a long back and forth conversation to clarify things, and the people responding were all very polite and seemed happy to help - I felt like I was talking to a friend!

The extra mile

Recently i contributed to a gofundme account with was close, but the wrong one i wanted to. With the help of the happiness team it all worked out. She followed up several times and helped me through another problem the same day.
You don't see this CS in retail, why not?

I looked for a way I could collect nice thoughts for my parents along with a way people could donate toward a gift and this was the site that best worked. When setting it up all my questions were answered in a timely manner even on labor day weekend.

Never in my life have I ever had to ask for money but my way of giving has been donating my time and often my money as a volunteer with the Red Cross and as a finished carpenter for a mission group from Evansville, Indiana. Asking for money is a whole different ballgame. One finds out during desperate times one seeks extreme measures to help a loved one. You find out who your friends
Are and even the willingness or lack of relatives to extend their help. I had been a Radiology Technologist my whole working life and between being on call 24/7 and advancing in my career, I garnered few, lasting, friends. I've asked for help with a Christian volunteer group I volunteered with in Biloxi, Ms. And, in the Biblical sense, the $#*! crowed because out of eight, none responded as if they didn't even know me. I tried again and one said he was 81, I'm 80, and was not able to donate because he didn't know what life had in store for him. And, again, the rest did not respond. I had one person block me on messenger because I think she thought I was going to ask for money. So, asking for money is one of the toughest things to have to do where one must rely on the kindness of strangers when it comes to asking for money. We have had a lot of people visit my daughter's page, 2116 as of date, with seven donations. With so many others needing help, it is refreshing to witness there are people out there that use their hard-earned money to help others. When comes to GOFundMe, they will help one through this journey with their patience, understanding, and kindness especially when an element of mistrust on my part ebbed its way into my thoughts at such a trying time, they came through. I gave them 5 stars and a very deserving 5 stars.

I was confused with the tip option. In the 'total charge' box I put in the amount I wanted to donate. But what I had unwittingly done was agree to tip this amount on top of what I had donated. I contacted customer service and they refunded the 'tip' immediately and with good grace. I deducted a star because in the tip option there could have been a 'no tip' option which would have been clearer for me.

I contacted support because I saw that someone had put spam on another person's GoFundMe. The person was asking for help and money stating their safety was in danger and were doing so on a fund raising money for the family after the tragic death of a young father and husband. I was unsure what to do but was sure that it would be upsetting to the family and friends' of the deceased. The support staff was quick to take down the horrible post and notified me immediately. I was so grateful and surprised at the efficiency.

This seems to be the best way to collect money for a cause when needed however, I didn't know that a tip would be added to my donation by GoFundMe. I did question the tipping process because the person donating doesn't know about it until they receive a receipt. Customer Service was quick to respond to my email and refunded the tip amount but I believe it would be better to market this part of donating so the customer would have a choice.

Crpwdfunding is a cousin to many types of funding- you ask for money and sometimes you get money. But in terms of genetic proximity, it is probably a third cousin. Because the people who give to GoFundMe give out of their heart as well as their pocketbook. They are like men in formidable jeeps roaming a forest with some peanuts in their pocket to give to some squirrels. That's all they are there for. The nice little squirrels. So they have money- and they actually want to do something wonderful with it- and only profit from the happiness they get from giving. So, they're big guys- but their hearts are bigger.

So, despite my nervousness in trying to fund what appears to be a massively important project to bring democracy to a higher level in America and possibly to other parts of the world, when I ran into trouble, the happiness team politely and thoroughly answered my questions. My happiness temperature is now above normal- and I look forward to this next adventure.

Within a couple days I had some results. Would like to see the time frame in which you actually receive the money sped up. 7 to 10 days when you need help now is too long of a wait. Otherwise I give this site an A+

Awesome Service

Megan was absolutely amazing in helping me with my issues.My wife and I are YouTubers. We're trying to keep our private information as private as possible. We're trying to raise money for my dog that needs surgery and the majority of our donors are YouTuber subscribers that don't know our last name. Megan was able to help with that. She walked me through the process step by step, through all the questions that I had, and I had many. With Megan's help, we were able to keep our information private which was whole purpose of asking for help.

I had used GoFundMe in the past, I am a spinal patient, and had forgotten the phone number that had been used to set up the first account when I was initially injured as a friend needed to help me with that back then. Customer support quickly and easily got me past that hurdle and allowed me to set up the withdrawals on my account so I could be back on track with receiving funds donated.
It's terrible that we have to rely on an outside source like this for funding for our medical needs, but it's good to know that there's a team of professional people that are there to help us when we need it.
