I have had an account with them since 2018. $160,000 in transactions with my small business as its been growing. They say they are all about helping businesses grow. But my first big client, big down-payment they shut my entire payment account down OVERNIGHT and still charged me processing fees *$1100. THE BEST PART is its "their policy'' not to answer why. They won't tell you. I lost a $70k account overnight. I spent hours on the phone and kept hearing "we can't tell you why. It's just closed". BE WARNED that you're your clients money are NOT SAFE and they won't explain why. Really horrible experience and I will be taking both my businesses and as many colleagues with me as I can.

A prospect wanted to rent one of our homes, but we denied her application due to her poor credit. The application fee is non-refundable, and this is stated on the application and on our website. The prospect then disputed the $100 application fee charge, and GoDaddy removed $115 from my account. They then awarded me back the $100 after I disputed the matter. She then filed a second dispute, and I again disputed with the same information I sent them originally. Now they have decided to award her the $100 and take $420 for themselves for handing the dispute on her behalf. So now I am out $520, including the expenses for the credit and criminal search, as well as my time to process her application. She willingly went to my website to complete and application and make payment for the application fee, was denied, and then decided to dispute the charge. Criminal. And GoDaddy is criminal for participating in this scheme. They informed me that they were debiting $520 from my account with no explanation of their findings and said the Case was Closed!

TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY!
July 12, 2024

I was charged for the $259 service I asked to be removed from. Then I spent 4 days over 2 months and over 10 hours trying to get a refund. I filled out forms and got no response. I was re-routed and hung up on multiple times. They just wear you down so you don't try anymore to get a refund. I reported them to the BBB and disputed the charge to my credit card company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Horrible experienceDo not trust this company. They will not listen to any of your directives, they will not respect your product or your business. They will cash your check spend five minutes on a webpage what you will then spend the next three months trying to get all of the grammatical errors corrected, trying to get rid of stock pictures you never put in your gallery, or even trying to get them to put your correct products on your page. Nightmare to work with ……anybody is better than this. Hire your 7th grader who took an intro to web design course, at least they might actually listen to you.

Power tripping team
June 10, 2024

Passive aggressive team. Higher up management has major issues knowing how to deal and solve issues. Unprofessional to the max. Unable to be held accountable and responsible of their own word. Will bounce you off around others. My male husband who is calm and level headed has spent a collective 20 hours on the phone to various teams while our small business was down on our emails for over a week - losing us about 20K as well as putting vulnerable disability families at risk. He had to call at 2am to the Arizona team on multiple days.

Feel sorry for all the middle man servers in the team who are stuck and are unable to do anything.

See attached the response. Will be telling other health providers to not renew.

Joke of a company as per attached screenshot. We have tried for weeks and weeks to solve this, we understood the issue. But it was the empty promises and inability to follow through.

2 hours on the phone with them, the calls ended suddenly before I could talk to the right person several times. Sometimes their support is good, but a lot of the people there are cheap, robotic, and non-native English.

The customer service experience was terrible. I have 7 email accounts and 5 domains with them, but when I needed assistance the most, they made me wait for 2 1/2 weeks without providing a resolution. They repeatedly asked me to perform trivial troubleshooting steps, such as restarting the computer each time I contacted them. They lack a comprehensive customer database, requiring me to explain the issue repeatedly during every call. Dealing with them has been extremely frustrating. I am considering switching to a different service provider. I definitely would not recommend them.

I have been hosted by GoDaddy for 20 years, it's a crap shoot once in a while you end up with a good knowledgeable tech, friendly and with a vast array of solution, such as Nemanja T. Most of the time you are not as lucky, Yesterday I (by error I ended up on the UK branch of GoDaddy and had the misfortune of talking to a low level tech who knew nothing, I felt like I was talking to a chimp. Than I logged off and logged in to the US side and was just as much as a disaster. Talked to a freak who didnt want to answer simple questions such *******@When is the best time to get in touch with you so I don't have to wait. She avoided the quetion for 5 minutes and finally came back with 24/7 Genius

GoDaddy has hosted our website for more than 20 years. In the last 12-18 months I've seen a big decline in the level of customer service or resolve problems that arise. Now it's always the customers fault and they are more keyed into selling you a new service than fixing the problems the create.

Here's my issue: We pay a premium whereas GoDaddy hosts our website, provides and maintains security, backups, WordPress platform, and with that are required "plugins" which guide and control the website functionality, all furnished and maintained by GoDaddy. Every few weeks as an admin, we log into our website "through GoDaddy" to update plugin software when needed... usually update all automatically.

We did this on 12-18-23 and after doing so our ability to make web edits stopped and we get an error message. After conversations with GoDaddy web tech support 12-18 and again 12-19, support techs say we have a "Bad" plugin installed and it is our (mine) responsibility to troubleshoot and repair. Lastly, saying they can do this repair for us if we upgrade to another package and pay another fee. WHAT-SERIOUSLY? A customer for all these years, GoDaddy hosts our website, GoDaddy provides Wordpress, GoDaddy provides the plugin software updates controlling the website functionality, GoDaddy has in the past maintained this and now it's broke and want a fee to fix.

Our webmaster took our site over in 2017 and then they advised me to move stating they are not what they once were... you need to move. Our w-master seeing what I've written above was not one bit surprised and says... MOVE, I've been telling you.

My godaddy hosting had become so slow that my websites
Were unusable. I paid Godaddy to "upgrade" my web
Hosting last Tuesday (3-5-24). They assured me I would not
Have any downtime on my sites. However about an hour or
Two after the hosting upgrade had been "completed" my
Sites went down showing 404 errors. When I check the
Hosting I found that most of my critical files were missing.
My sites are still all down five days later (3-9-24). I have
Called godaddy about 7 times now and no one can give me
A solid update. From what I can tell no one is even trying to
Fix this problem. Dealing with godaddy on this issue is a
Nightmare that I can't wake up from. I wish I had hosted my sites with a company that takes my work more seriously than this.

Terrible customer service
March 9, 2024

Customer service is so terrible that I have been on hold for almost 2 hours and counting, just to get my credit card removed from their system. Per their website, I cannot remove it without speaking with someone. I think they are just hoping that I will get tired of waiting for their single cancellation employee to cycle through all the customers tired of their service.

I tried to do this through their 24/7 online chat and they said the wait was 89 minutes so I am just hoping someone will finally answer my call or in chat. It seems like I will likely be dead before they get to my request.

At the hold point of 1:51:56, I got a recording that stated that my estimated hold time is 2 minutes. We will see.

I cant review their other services but judging by their CS response time, I think its just not worth it.

I dont like giving bad reviews but this is just nuts. By the way, I still havent spoken with anyone and its now 2:12:31 and still holding.

UPDATE: After holding for just over 3 hours, GoDaddy's phone system DISCONNECTED after stating that they were sorry but they were unable to connect me to customer service. They are the WORST!

Do your research
March 6, 2024

I'm following a training program and they recommended Godaddy. I barely got started and was annoyed. To activate your domain you are required to receive a 6 digit code you receive in your email. First attempt I waited and waited and waited. 5 min later after I already closed the verification window the code shows up. I open another verification window and attempt to put in the code I received. Of course it didn't work because I closed the window already. So ask for another verification code. 15min later I'm still waiting for a code. Normally sites take seconds to send you a code. So once again I'm convinced something is wrong and close the verification window. Two minutes later the code arrives. Two attempts wasted and you get 3. So I open a third verification window. The pressure is on. It's now been over 20 minutes and still no code. I don't even have to wait to see how this ends.

Do yourself a favor and use any domain registrar you want but DO NOT USE GODADDY.

Terrible ethics
March 1, 2024

I had auto renewal for a website I haven't used in a couple years and tried calling to cancel after the fact of being renewed to get refunded for the future usage (2 year auto renewal) since I no longer use it and won't be for the next two years and they weren't willing to work with me. So now I'm paying $800 for the next two years for literally nothing. Terrible customer service and not doing the right thing for the customer. Cleary not trying to have a good reputation...scamming people's $$$

February 25, 2024

Useless, avoid it a all cost. If in south africa better use domainnames.co.za to optain your domains. Godaddy's team is as useless and the company itself. I have my website down for 12 days and i keep being told to wait 48hrs eachtime. As you can see your complaint means nothing. They dont even deserveone star
