I sale Granite, I have a very highly rated company I used GoDaddy Commerce and Payments. I made an enormous error they have my clients deposit for over a week and they have zero I mean zero respect for the issue their clients experience. I had an online payment issue where they would not fund my clients payment and it took a week and maybe 10 hours on the phone. Net result I will never nor will any of business work with your Company in the future.

Very bad site to start your business. Once you pay the 328$. Inside 5 months your site will be hacked and if you pause your purchase everything you have done on your site dissapeared.

I have been trying to cancel My GoDaddy for over two years now, each year they still billing me for services I no longer need. Each time you try to cancel they will run through a number of hoops until they say they no longer offer a refund but offer a discount for next years renewals as compensation?! The Cancellation system is also designed in a way so each step takes 24 hours or 48 hours so you run out of time/ patience or you spend hours talking to their Indian call centers until you no longer have the energy to fight. You also have to start all over each time because "They don't have any records of any prior conversation" So far I have provided copy of my passports. Signing up with 2way authentication Requesting new pins. Still ho cancellation or refund in sight.

Currently I have filled Consumer claim against them for the money they have taken without my permission. It will be a long process. Stay away!

I don't know where to begin. Not enough character space to cover it all. Just move on to another service. The scheduled calls with a person from the design center...its a different person each time and some are quick ad seem to know what they are doing...some are old retired codgers who stumble around. I did several hours worth of work editing my site, then had the scheduled call with some guy who kept telling me how he was impressed with all the changes I had made. Two days later I get an email my site is ready to review. ALL my editing was gone. I could go on...but just save your self some time and get a service that has a person assigned to you from the "design team". Good luck

As a loyal GoDaddy customer since 2007, I am deeply disheartened by the recent handling of my account. On December 15,2023, at 7:55 PM CST, I was notified that three of my.io premium domains were removed from my account. These were part of a group of twelve domains that I have consistently bulk-renewed for the past three years. Strangely, this year, only four were auto-renewed individually, leaving the other eight, including the premium ones, unrenewed.

To my dismay, two of these premium domains are now listed on GoDaddy's Afternic for substantial amounts ($5,988 and $7,880). Initially, GoDaddy attributed this issue to a billing error. However, upon consulting with PayPal, I confirmed that there were no unsuccessful payment attempts from GoDaddy. Furthermore, my PayPal account is set up with a backup payment method to ensure all charges are processed.

Upon escalating this issue to GoDaddy's Level 2 support, I was informed of a "glitch" in their system that caused the failure in sending email notifications and another "glitch" preventing the billing of the eight domains. I am now being asked to repurchase my own domains at a premium price. This situation is unacceptable and has seriously eroded my trust in GoDaddy. I simply want my domains returned to me without the unfair burden of a premium price.

100% scam.
December 10, 2023

They are focused on posting positive reviews by their bots and fake accounts, which allow still rip off new customers, reading the reviews.
Facts:
1. While you try to check domain is free to buy, their system immediately reserve this domain and you receive false result: 'already taken' At the same time, they...offer you this domain to purchase with 800-100% margin on their side.
2.If you want to move your domain from them to other service, tons of tricks and obstruction occurred. Basically, if you requests the code which is nesesery to transfer your domain, you'll never get it. Certainly, they will blame your email account provider or everything else, denying to providing the code in the deferent way at the same time.

It is a high time to class-action lawsuit, which finally kick off this shady company from the market.

I was promised a refund nine days ago. It still has not materialized. Talked to several different representatives from the company on the phone, got three different stories/excuses. At least one of the customer service reps simply lied to me. They refuse to check with their ACH processor who obviously screwed up the refund. Keep telling me that it is my problem to correct. I don't like having my time wasted and I really don't like being lied to. I will be transferring all of my accounts from this company asap.

Absolutely horrible, from disrespectful customer service bouncing you from "department" to "department," their failure to ACTUALLY cancel your subscriptions, and ACTUALLY delete your credit card on-file, to horrible pricing! NameCheap and WordPress are definitely more worth your money and time - these have much more responsive and efficient customer service algorithms. Don't even give GoDaddy a second thought!

Definite scam...
November 28, 2023

Definite Scam company now...
On 11/11/2023 I bought a domain with.co extension. It was an appealing and brandable name. After buying the domian I pointed that domain to my shopify store. Due to some uncertain reasons I wasn't able to complete my store. But today 11/28/2023 when I tried to access my site, I wasn't able to access my admin panel. Upon investigating i found that on 11/27/2023 Godaddy have cancelled the domain from my account and put it up for an auctions. Stay away...

We prepaid for 3years for hosting services. Our expiration came without notification and they took down our website and held our site hostage asking for 4x the cost of our original cost. Also, they just held a newly purchased (blank) website URL for 5 days before they can release it. Another trick in their large bag of scummy tricks.

Wrong domain name
November 17, 2023

I purchased a domain name from go daddy the domain name it gave me was different by 1 letter to the 1 I agreed to purchase. The domain name was to be used at a future date it wasn't until 9 days later I actually noticed it discrepancy. I contacted godaddy but because it was more than 5 days ( i thought legally you got a 2 week cooling off period)since I purchased it they would not refund or give me the correct domain name.

As a software engineer I can assure that don't trust them. After asking for help they kept on sending the same message again and again. Screenshot added there. Boycott and bann godaddy!

They charged me $800 for Web Security that cannot be used due to the fact my website has been moved to another host. First I thought it could when I called them and told them I did not need 3 years. They should have instantly seen my website no longer exists on Godaddy. They said they would remove 2 years since i was going to sell my business and move from the country. They did not refund my money not back on my credit card like they said they would, but store credit. What good is it if I'm no longer on the their site, in the country and it sits there until the day I die? They never should have charged me in the first place!

I called back and explained they had no business charging my card since Godaddy Web Security cannot be used on another host server, and they put me on hold for 20 minutes to once again get "manager approval" for the refund. I think I need to call my bank and do a chargeback

They will con you out of your money if given a chance. They cost me thousands of dollars by accepting my payment for a domain and then never giving me access to the domain. They then tried to charge me 3x the amount for the domain I had already purchased. CROOOKS & CONMEN that don't care about you at all.

RIPOFF!
October 31, 2023

I've used them for 20 years and they used to be reasonable. The past 3 years they have morphed into a ripoff factory. They add services to your products that you don't need when you call for support. They make it sound like you're getting a great deal and put you on auto renew for everything. I was charged for emails accounts and web hosting services that I never signed up for and they won't refund me. THEY ARE SHYSTERS. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I have 50 screenshots on my phone for the run-around for credits on random auto-renewals on random things including supposed free domains, the kind that end with.godaddy.com. You must check your account and look for auto renews that won't show up until a whole year later... by then it's too late. Any free email, hosting ideas and creative things you have set-up and forgotten about may come to haunt you later. And that is IF you even catch them, often on your PayPal. Whatever you do, use your bank when you set it up so you can dispute easier later. The WORST isn't even that, it's the run-around nonsense in customer service, saying the refund is coming then not coming. They hid all the text content too, so I had no proof of our conversations (so you need to screenshot as you go) I seriously think it can ONLY BE THAT their competition hires out spies to go in and ruin Godaddy reputation because no one can be "that" stupid or desperate to keep customers money. I have all the screen shots to prove it... tons, its horrible! I am sorry for anyone that gets stuck with dealing with them. Or payments that can't afford because they can't even deal with the customer service ding-dongs to get a credit. To add to all that my entire website (many pages with 3 domains) was deleted when I asked for a refund on some other annual Microsoft charge (?) even though I had moved it into a free-domain until I could come up with a new domain to purchase and use. And just getting them to verify your account will surely make you crazy as it did me. A great distraction to make me give up? Maybe...

Too bad I didn't see all the other bad reviews of GoDaddy first... I've suffered with them for a few years and it's hard to make the jump but I'm going to leave and learn over.
