If you are looking for a company that sells domains and delivers on customer service and is infiltrated with great people then Godaddy is for you.
They have a Wonderful customer service departments with great people and the prices are very competitive.
Shop the best and you'll never have an issue!
I bought a domain name back in 2014 only to get extremely frustrated when every time I tried to login it never recognized my login details. I tried calling customer service but they refused to help as apparently they didn't have my details on file.
I ended up having to walk away from this site and try and find another one.
We are not in 2016 and I get a message from PayPal that Go Daddy is going to debut $50.48 out of my account. I never received an email or letter to day anything about this.
Once again, I tried to call and they refused to help because I didn't have a 4 digit pin. And I was not able to log in.
The funds can put, i sent an email requesting that they be refunded and I put a transaction disputed through PayPal.
It turns out that they are no longer accepting emails and they refused to help me over the phone.
MY ONLY ADVICE TO EVETYONE IS TO STAY AWAY FROM GODADDY. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WITHLUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE OR AUTORIZATION ANS YOU WILL NECER SEE IT AGAIN AS ALL YOU WILL GET IS A BRICK WALL.
If you have a fear of other hosting companies are cheating and godaddy not, coz they say they give what they promise, you should read this review:
I bought Linux share hosting (top plan godaddy) guess the default infra? 512 MB RAM 1 GB I/O. After 12-13 visitors at a time server goes down, lol, I purchased next upgrade from them 1GB RAM, 1 GB I/O. After 20-25 visitors at a time server was going down.
Thanks to Mother marry I got a mail from other hosting provider with almost half the rate, I thought lets try, bought from them (Half the price of Godaddy)
Guess what default config I got 1GB RAM and 2GB I/O not only this even 100 visitors online, server doesn't goes down.
I am not only feeling like being a duffer buying from Godaddy but also feeling amazed by how they are fooling people.
I called because I noticed when pulling my website up it had been turned off. I called to inquire and told I missed the date for the website builder renewal and my options were to rebuild my website or pay $60 to get the tech team to release it. Building that site was approximately a 50 hour endeavor and if I rebuild it it WILL NOT be with your product. I had been paying with an account credit recently because I had been refunded from where you overcharged me so you corrected the mistake you made and I'm happy to correct in paying the monthly fee and I would understand paying a late fee but $60 is an exorbitant fee for the tech team to simply release my site information, they aren't having to rebuild them. I have gotten quotes from other hosting services that are more cost effective and one that even includes an app I would like to get past this and remain a customer but I will not do so with an unreasonable charge to restore my site pages. I want to continue with an amicable solution for both sides but even when speaking to supervisors their stance is there is nothing anyone can do. I still had a credit from where they had overcharged me but you can't auto renew with account credits and I had been dealing with immensely stressful family issues including a son in and out of the hospital with seizures and a mother entering hospice care and they do not care the circumstances even though credit was there to cover it. I have investigated other hosting companies and would never recommend them with how they treated me and took advantage to get an exorbitant extra fee.
It's a bit confusing. But overall go daddy is a great place to get url and do hosting
GoDaddy is my top rated domain reg and I always do a Google search for discount coupons and that means I normally get my domain for about $2. :) Perfect for someone like me who might not know if the project is going to have legs and doesnt want to invest lots of money into it at the start.
Now that Godaddy have taken over Mad Mimi, they have decided to steal commissions from affiliates. They have ended the affiliate program and won't be paying recurring monthly commissions to affiliates even though many affiliates signed up in good faith thinking the recurring commissions would bring in a passibe income.
Here's the fine print:
Mad Mimi reserves the right to end the Program at any time.
In the event of Mad Mimi's discontinuation of the Affiliate Program, current commissions will be paid for a period of 180 days and then will no longer be paid.
It ony mentions current commissions and not recurring commissions however the letter they send out to affiliates mentions all commissions will no longer be paid.
Feeling ripped off and mislead?
Contact the founder Gary Levitt and his family in Isreal who are the ones who sold your recurring commissions to Godaddy.
I have been using GoDaddy for about 6 months now for several web hosting services. I have been impressed with the ease of use for their web design services and the options that are available on the design interface. The custom service has been great for me. I have received a call about every 6 weeks from a rep asking how everything is going just checking in to see if I have any questions. Try it out!
After speaking to a manager of GoDaddy's customer support, I am disgusted. Being mocked when requesting for a refund, I must say the company's reps can be very rude. And there refund policy is a sham, as one has only 5 days to return a domain. Seriously, if you're a company giving your customers a 5-day return policy, then you can care less about customer satisfaction. There are plenty of businesses out there, like Bed, Bath, and Beyond, which offer great refund policies, with no time restrictions. Businesses, like GoDaddy, that rely solely on ecommerce, need to be monitored more closely, as there refund policies are not at all catered to the customer. All in all, GoDaddy has bad customer service.
Godaddy does not have ethics of treating customers. The hosting servers are the worst place where you can put up your site. The servers are down intermittently without any prior notice. You can expect a 40 to 50% availablity of site. No more that that... 99% availablity is a myth. Customer care is just pathetic. NO SLA is defined for uptime. No timeline is defined for issue resolution.
Just STAY AWAY from GODADDY.
I have several services with them, all happy with them, even me not being so computer smart, besides that, there's always a phone number with real people to help out.
I'm never afraid to buy anything from them for two reasons: 1. Excellent refund policy if I'm not happy with anything. 2. great customer service that are willing to help you with everything
I moved my site from Weebly to Wordpress GoDaddy Hosting. The site was beautiful, but it was so slow that it wouldn't open. At All. I built a third site in Square Space, and after a week of late nights I called GoDaddy to cancel hosting, repoint my domain, and get a refund for the s* product that didn't work.
They were helpful in repointing, but they kept my moneythat they didn't earn. F* businesses that feel that their best, their products that customers pay for, don't have to actually work. I'll be looking for a new place to buy my domain next time.
I tried purchasing a domain and web hosting space from www.godaddy.com, the order didnt go thru & the money got deducted frm my CC, I had to go for a legal fight with them to get my money back and it took over 2 months for the same, pathetic customer service & poor responses is all you get from them.
GoDaddy is like a glitchy, terribly designed, difficult to use version of Weebly, sadly. And I actually spent money on this. They sold me a package of domains when I only needed one, so I ask what the hell do I do with the other 3 domains?
Their builder is bad and they desperately try to sell design services to you.
GoDaddy is thoroughly terrible.
I was using their website builder last year, now they have charged me £72 for website builder for this year on my card. I have rang twice today to get them to cancel it - unhelpful, say i have to do it online - how?
The site is full of upsells, even in the admin panel. Layers of ads are seen before you could do whatyou wanna do
Takes you in circles, charges you after you've cancelled items and then takes you in bull$#*! circles so they can make every penny off you they can. Yet another bull$#*! company out to get every dime and people be damned! They need to work on their people skills.
Answer: Do not use this company. Go daddy excessive fees, will keep adding fees claiming lack of security, and also has a policy that will ask for private information such as passport, license if you ever change your phone number even though they will talk to you on the phone.
Answer: We offer an easy to use E-Commerce website builder. Here is a link where you can sign up for a free trial: https://www.godaddy.com/websites/online-store
