Heed my warning... Do not order anything from this company! I ordered items for our neighborhood common areas and 1 week before it was supposed to ship, got delayed. 2nd time delayed again. 3rd time they canceled my order. These people suck!
I purchased a swamp cooler from these folks. The delivery date has changed 3 times and who knows when I'll get it. I also had a simple question about the product. I was put off twice and never did get an answer. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!

I bought the metal shelving, and the bolt-holes at the 4 posts were drilled with different distances. This made the shelves tilted and bended after screwed, and not all 4 legs were touching the floor even all the posts were the same in length (posts were bended when being screwed to bolt-holes with different distances between one post and another). The difference was so obvious that lower shelves tilted half inch. Email to customer service was being ignored.
Placed an order at 4:30 AM on a Saturday, and cancelled it within 15 minutes when I realized I ordered the wrong thing. They of course then tried to play hard ball and didn't want to cancel the order, despite being cancelled within 15 minutes, and being placed in the middle of the night on a weekend when nobody was working. They claimed they couldn't cancel it because it was being prepared for shipment already. Then I get an automated email from them stating that what I ordered is actually out of stock and is going to be delayed by a month. So I guess they lied about my order already being prepared for shipment.
I messaged them again, and told them to cancel it since they didn't even have it in stock. I informed them if they still tried to send it, I would fight the charge. Well of course, when it came back in stock, they sent it anyways.
After threatening to go to the BB, they finally took it serious and apologized, and eventually offered to refund my money, although they did try to blame it on me by claiming I didn't cancel it until after it had been shipped. However, when I got the refund, they didn't even refund the whole amount. They kept about 1/3 of the original charge. Horrible company to work with.
As others have said, I wish I had seen these reviews first. I ordered a simple product. It came without half if the pieces required to use it. I did get customer service after the first box came and they sent me a 2nd at no cost. Great... NO. The second was missing the same pieces as the first. Now I can't get through at all. Do NOT order from this company.
Watch out for 15% restocking fees on returns and no prepaid return shipping. If you get half your money back, consider yourself lucky. This company does not manufacture anything. They are a wholesaler. This means that they have to reach out to either another company or the manufacturer to issue returns. I even had to wait for a week for an RMA # (an authorization to be able to return a product). The wind usually blows in their favor as it is apparent that customer service is a void at Global Industrial. You would have better luck buying rice from china, than getting this company to do what other companies do naturally. :)
Ordering from Global Industrial will result in them not meeting the delivery time, not following up on shipments, third party trucking companies who neither take the time nor the initiative to deliver the item. You will be required to track down your shipment, prove you didn't get it and then call multiple people and companies to get an offer for a refund or a new order. Hope you don't need the item for critical path projects, deadlines, or use.
I purchased an item from this company and didn't even remove it from the box when I realized it was not going to hook up correctly to my wall. I called to get a return and they are taking a 50% restocking fee and that is in addition to me having to pay my own shipping. Do not purchase from this company. I will be posting this all over Facebook
Pros: it's nice to have an alternative to Uline, the prices are competitive and I really like that they have free ground shipping and I don't have to pay for the next day delivery like Uline. I'm usually able to find a promo code too before I check out.
Cons: Slow shipping and processing. Item was marked as "in stock" on the website, but delayed being shipped due to lack of inventory. Customer Service was okay, I was always able to connect with a human when asking for help or order status, but unfortunately I had to be transferred a few times before finding out the reason my package was two weeks late was because of falsely listed inventory. I'm a patient person, but I did end up ordering the same item on Uline because it was the holiday season and I absolutely needed to ship things my customers purchased. Uline's boxes arrived the next day, Global finally delivered a week later.
Overall:
I prefer the product I received from Global over Unline because of the prices, but I would not trust them to deliver on time if my reason for needing the item was time sensitive. I just made my second purchase from Global, but I plan on ‘forgetting' about it until it appears on my doorstep in 1-2 months.
I ordered four of the Fantech Metal grills from Global Industrial in Richmond Hill. This item evidently is shipped directly from the manufacture in Kentucky. When it arrived I found it didn't close and lock to prevent air flow. I called same day March 11,2021 to return the items knowing I would have to pay shipping back to Kentucky. I was told by Global Industrial that they would have to contact the manufacturer and they would email a return label to me. I have followed up numerous times and it is now March 22,2021 and I have still not received the return label. I highly recommend not buying anything from Global Industrial.

At my local big box building stores, mini water heaters can only be ordered online; but they were out of stock, for a month – so I shopped around and found a great price at Global Industrial. I read the horrible review but decided to take a chance. I tried to place an order online, but as is often the case, it doesn't work from U.S. to Canada. So I called and talked to lovely reps in Georgia who directed me to the Canadian office in Calgary where I talked to Charles. After that it was magic. He placed the order for me and UPS showed up a few days later, right on schedule. Whatever you think you've heard – Global Industrial is awesome. They have real people in customer service in both countries, who answer the phone promptly and help you get what you want. Call them!
Ordered a work bench from Global that never arrived. Shipping company missed 3 appointments and then would not answer the phone. When I contacted Global, was told nothing they could do about it.
I WANTED TO DESCRIBE THE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH MY RECENT ORDER. I SPENT MANY HOURS WITH THEIR BODS, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WITH THEIR WEB FORM MESSAGES. NONE OF MY CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUESTS WERE RETURNED.
THE PROBLEM CONCERNS MY ORDER FOR 2 METAL RACK SHELVES. I ORDERED AND MADE PAYMENT ON JANUARY 29,2021. MY RECEIPT AND YOUR WEBSITE SHOWED A FEBRUARY 8,2021 DELIVERY. I CHECKED MANY TIMES PRIOR TO DELIVERY AND THEIR TRACKING ALWAYS STATED 2/8/2021. WHEN 2/8/2021 CAME, NO DELIVERY. AFTER MANY REQUESTS AND HOURS ON THEIR SITE I RECEIVED NO HELP OR RESPONSES. ON FEB 9TH THEIR ARRIVAL DATE STILL SHOWED THE 8TH. THEN THE BOT COULDN'T FIND MY ORDER. FINALLY GOT A REAL PERSON AND SHE TELLS MY ITEMS ARE OUT OF STOCK! NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTICE OF OUT OF STOCK. SO I GUESS THEY SELL YOU PRODUCT EVEN IF IT ISN'T IN STOCK. I CHOSE GLOBAL BECAUSE THEY HAD THE EARLIEST DELIVERY DATE. NOW, AFTER TWO WEEKS I'LL NEED TO FIND ANOTHER COMPANY. SO WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A GOOD COMPANY, THEY NOW CAUSED ME A MONTHS DELAY. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE EMAILS GO THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE AND LIMIT THE CHARACTERS YOU CAN TYPE. I USED MY LIMIT AND WAS UNABLE TO FINISH MY COMPLAINT.

I was unfortunate enough to purchase a Drum Grab from Global Industrial. I had a question about the grabber which was damaging my barrels. The agent was rude and condescending and tried to get me off the phone. I had also called to find out some details about purchasing a pallet racking system for my warehouse, to discuss weight limits etc. The agent told me that they sold many types of racks and I should go to their website and order what I needed. Stay away from this company their sales reps have no product knowledge and seem to read from a script while acting like they are doing you a favor. Their after service is just as bad. Stay away!
My company bought 12 desks totalling almost $10,000 on the promise that they would be delivered within 60 days. Five days prior to the delivery date I reached out to confirm they were on schedule and was given the runaround. No one could give me a date and when I asked to cancel the order the rep responded with "I cannot guarantee this will be cancelled. I can submit a request but it will need to go through multiple departments and each one will need to agree that you can cancel the order before you have confirmation." All while my online account still says they will be delivered on or before the anticipated day. Ridiculous responses and terrible follow through with such a large purchase.
Very poor service and customer support. Would strongly consider Amazon where you can find most of the same products.

Horrible company. Never responds and constantly lie about shipping. Ordered a fridge and was told it would be delivered no later than DEC 7th. On DEC 9th they said I wouldn't receive the fridge until January 6th!
Spend the extra money buying from a trusted vendor.
I ordered a double pedestal (with drawers) shop type work bench. They clearly sent the wrong item for one of the two pedestal units. The catalog information was very ambiguous 4 drawer v. s. 5 drawer. But either way one drawer was much larger than the catalog indicated. They want to insist they sent the right item when clearly they did not. I have NEVER experienced this this sort of customer service in my 61 years of life. I won't ever order from them again and you should think twice. GLOBAL IS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. There are other much better places to buy from.
UPDATE: My issue has been resolved satisfactorily by Global Industrial. A Global Industrial Supply customer service supervisor saw my email correspondence with the customer service rep's and she stepped in and took over. She was great! She got the facts and had the correct (as advertised) drawer unit delivered to me. She was very professional and pleasant to deal with.
Answer: TOTAL SCAM COMPANY. WILL NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCTS EVEN WITH A ONE YEAR WARRANTY.
