I ordered some prescription sunglasses from GlassesUSA and I have had the worst online shopping experience EVER. First, I initially placed my order, about 6 weeks ago (originally ordered July 17, it is August 25), providing everything they asked for. After receiving my sunglasses, the prescription was off. They messed up some numbers from the picture (of my prescription) I had sent them (their quality assurance is garbage). After I contacted their customer service and spoke with a person by the name of Gino, who seemed to not care about this mishap and kept on referring to their 14 days "no questions asked" policy when I asked them if they could possibly expedite the order, which was extremely annoying. Then after asking for my glasses with the CORRECT prescription, I have yet to receive them. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. They have sent me the same email THREE TIMES about how I should receive the tracking info in 2-3days 7 days ago. Will never shop here again! If I could give 0 stars I would. Twice...

We are sorry for the bad experience you had with us. Unfortunately, mistakes can be made.
As our representative told you, we have a 14-days returns policy, and when filling out the RMA you can ask for a refund (on the original order) an exchange or a store credit.
Unfortunately, it makes the process longer as we need to receive the glasses back, before starting a new production.

Once the glasses are received, our returns department is processing according to your request. If you ask for an exchange, they created a new order, and the glasses are sent to production again, and follow the regular time-frame, meaning 3-6 business days for production, 1-2 business days for quality assurance, 7-10 business days for standard shipping.

Regarding the expedited shipping, you can request it at [email protected] We will review your order and see if it can be granted.

Once the glasses are ready, they are handed to our shipping partner which became in charge of the package and the delivery. It is usually taking 2-3 business days for them to update the system with the tracking information. Unfortunately, it might sometimes happen that it is taking longer, reason why you received the same email multiple times, we apologize for the inconvenience.

I ordered my glasses and I got that code that you can give to your friends. However, I never got a confirmation email or shipment email. After a week, I contacted customer service and they could not find my order. I was really frustrated because I ordered and I knew it. I was about to reorder because the price of $43 for a whole new pair, smudge free add on, and free shipping was the best I could find for my near sightedness. However, a package came in and it was my glasses. Despite saying they never had my order, my order came in. The glasses themselves are very high quality and my lens do indeed fulfill my prescription.

I don't know how so many people are so dissatisfied with this company.

I've been buying from them for over 3 years and I've never had an issue with them. A couple of times I have gotten a pair that doesn't fit me/I don't like and I choose another pair free of cost. Yes, producing my glasses and shipping takes awhile, but I understand that takes time.

It also is a pain having to ship them back since that takes even more time and is inconvenient. But, it is worth it because of the low cost. I remember the days when I used to spend $300-$400 for a pair at the eyeglasses store. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that they sensor the reviews and don't let negative reviews get posted on their site. I know from experience.

Very dissatisfied

This website is a scam. They charge you before they ship your product.If you are lucky they will ship your order. I tried to cancel my order in an hour, they didn't cancel it, put it on hold for a week and without my authorization they reactivated. They said they shipped it, they didn't. There was no record at usps. Their so called friendly customer service people hang up on you. They are not able to help you anyways. They say we'll issue a ticket to appropriate department for your request. There is no appropriate department that will contact you. They Don't exist. They delete your online conversation partially and send a copy to you and only the beginning of your conversation.My order number is #*******

We are really sorry for the bad experience you had so far.
Unfortunately, it seems that we had an error in the system, reason why your glasses were produced and shipped.

Once the order is ready, they are sent to our sorting facility and then shipped out to you. It might take a few days for our delivery partner to update their system with the tracking number, but once it is activated you should receive an email with the tracking number, or be able to track it through our website with your order number.

In your case, once you received the glasses, you just need to send an email to our returns department requesting the shipping label, explaining what happens. If you are eligible for a refund, you will be able to request it as well.
Unfortunately, only the customer service is allowed to call customers, but once we get the internal information you should receive the update, either with a phone call or an email.

Again we are sorry for the inconvenience.

Very frustrating
August 23, 2018

I ordered a pair of glasses for around $100 a couple weeks ago before reading any reviews about this company and received the wrong frames. I started the return and exchange process which turned out to be very tedious because there were so many errors on the website. I looked up the pair i received on the website and saw that the frames i got are a lot more expensive than the ones i ordered, and after reading all the reviews i decided to just keep them even though they aren't what i ordered (in case they just never send me what i ordered). They didn't charge me for the expensive frames so i guess i scammed the scammer :p

Pinnings of a Scam

It started with the prescription, which I uploaded twice while on the phone. Two weeks later when there was no word, I logged into the website only to see they had not updated the prescription. I loaded it again before I called. Then I loaded it while chatting online. Then I loaded it when I called them. Finally, they received the prescription, but did not update my status for quite a while. When that nightmare was over, I get an obscure Email that said my frames were out of stock. I sent a note requesting a refund. I never heard anything. Finally, I picked up the phone and called them. I was told they could not process the refund over the phone as I had to fill out a form online. Interesting that they can take my money over the phone, but can't quite process it. I just submitted the refund request with no question that I did not want a store credit or anything else, just my money back. I ordered on 6/7/18 and it is now over two months later with at least two phone calls (one of them included a supervisor) and three chat sessions online. We will see if they actually come through or come up with some other way to try to string me along.

I think this is the worst that I have ever had to deal with in reference to a company. I really wish that I had done my research (I normally do my research) first before I purchased from this horrible company! I am not sure of where I even need to start. But in a nutshell, it's been 3 and 1/2 weeks and I still have not received the merchandise, called the horrible customer service and still no results or interest in resolving the issue. Needless to say I have filed a complaint and awaiting the results. I would leave no stars if I could.

Don't do it.

I ordered two pairs of glasses over 3 weeks ago. I have still not even received a confirmation email, even though the money was taken out of my account the next day. Multiple emails and phone calls later and I'm getting the feeling I'm going to have to fight to get my money back. BEYOND frustrating.

Sometimes, when using Amazon or PayPal, the order confirmations will go to the email used by those services, and sometimes the order confirmations will land in the spam folder. Over the years, I've purchased numerous pairs of glasses from Glasses USA, with which I've had an inordinate amount of customer service and warranty issues. I keep coming back because they provide a single pair of glasses that fits my needs very well. I purchased replacement insurance with the last pair of those glasses. Recently that pair was broken beyond repair. When I called the company, I learned the breakage replacement coverage I'd purchased only lasted one year, and I'd owned the glasses for more than a year. I asked the rep if, because I'd purchased many pairs of glasses from the company, if I could receive any consideration such as an extension of the replacement coverage. The rep took all of my information and said she'd forward it to the "higher ups" (my quotes) in the customer service department to see what they could do for me. She said I should get a response within 24 hours, which I did not. I called again and was told by the rep that she'd forward my information again and mark it "urgent." After another 24 hours, I called again and told another rep that due to the company's lack of response and poor customer service, I was going to give them a poor review on Site Jabber. The rep told me that I'd get a response from customer service "in a few hours. Which I did not. I've been down this road before with GlassesUSA. Communicating with them -- after speaking to a level 1 customer service rep -- is usually an exasperating and often useless, time consuming experience. Other current and potential customers should be aware of this.

Poor Customer Service

I bought two pairs of glasses from glassesusa.com. The first time there were no issues and I was happy with my glasses. Given that experience I decided to order prescription sunglasses. When my sunglasses arrived, there was a screw missing attaching a lens to the frame (poor quality control). I then arranged to send the glasses back to have the screw inserted and the glasses sent back to me. I tracked the glasses back to their return facility and after not hearing anything for several days called the customer service dept. I was told that the customer service dept does not talk directly with the returns dept and communicate only via e-mail. They sent an e-mail to the returns dept asking for a status. Again after several days with no contact I called customer service again and was told all they can do is send an email asking the return dept to contact me. I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager but was told that they were busy. I then got an email saying that the frames I originally ordered was out of stock and to pick another frame (excluding premiuim). I replied to that email asking why they couldn't just insert a screw and send the glasses back to me. After several days with no response I called customer service to get an update and again was told all they could do was send an email to the returns dept. I got another email again saying that the frames I originally ordered was out of stock and to pick another frame (excluding premiuim) - no mention of why my original glasses could not be repaired. So a month after returning the glasses (and two months after ordering them), I got an email today that said glasses.com had issued me a store credit that was good for three months and I could order another pair of glasses when I was ready. They did not offer any compensation (which I had asked for in the form of a slightly more expensive frame) after this ordeal. I went ahead and ordered another pair of glasses to use my store credit but this is the last pair that I will purchase from them. Very poor customer service!

During the online ordering they tell you it will take 5 days to manufacture the glasses and then a few days to ship. It actually took over 3 weeks. The worst part is their lack of concern when you keep asking when are my glasses? And get no update via their useless online order status system.
Reply to their response - In my case the delay was not in manufacturing or shipping, it was the 11 days up front when you did nothing with my order and gave no explanation for that 11 day delay. Instead of apologizing and making excuses for the 150 poor reviews here, why don't you do something to fix your broken system and poor customer service.

Dont waste you time

Just like a lot of reviews on here Glasses USA can not get a perception right I bought 3 pairs of glasses from Glasses USA the first 2 I had to send back each were replaced with a great perception. The 3rd pair a pair of ray ban sunglasses I got came with the wrong perception even the perception card in the box shows the perception was not the one I had on the Glasses USA site account. They refused to exchange the glasses because I returned different glasses in the past. So with that thought they could have sent me anything and refused to exchange or replace because I had previses returns. MAYBE they are not use to retuning customers. I hope one day this company is out off business for good and replaced by Amazon.

They sent the wrong prescription. We even got a prescription card with someone else's name. We should have returned it when we called and the CSR's English was not comprehensible. I told them the problem and they started asking questions as if they had not heard what I just said! They were reading a script! But I trusted them anyway to do an exchange thinking the wrong prescription was just an error. (After reading reviews around the Internet, now I see this isn't an isolated issue!) It took them 3 weeks to get us the exchanged pair (you'd think they would have expedited the order since it was THEIR mistake), but the lenses were warped! We decided we wanted to do the "hassle free" return and get a refund because we just didn't trust the lenses. They would only do a store credit. They would not take responsibility for their mistake and would not allow us to do return now. They said we had our chance to return them the first time. (Their policy is you get one chance.) Yes, now we know and wish we had just returned them! But we thought since the prescription was wrong, we'd give them a chance to correct them. Instead here we are again with bad lenses and would not want another pair. They don't really want to help you. They just read scripts. Furthermore, when you speak to a supervisor hoping to explain how the first pair was their fault and it took 3 weeks to get the "fixed" pair, they still read scripts. DO NOT BUY from this company. You have been warned. We have taken this dispute to our bank and we will never buy from this company again nor recommend them!

While GlassesUSA has constant sales, they really do not have good quality frames. I purchased frames only two months ago and they came apart. They did not break, the ear piece simply detached from the frame as if the glue they used wore off over 2 months. I tried contacting customer service over this issue of my nearly brand new glasses and they replied with I had to pay to get new ones. I don't see why I would have to pay for new cheap quality manufactured glasses. I asked to speak with the manager or supervisor serveral times and was told they were too busy or not available. Then was told that the company would go bankrupt if they gave "free" glasses, which I in return said the company can actually go bankrupt with poor service and bad reviews. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Started out rocky

Shipment did take longer than what is stated on the website. I had expected my glasses to be shipped within 10 days but they showed in QA for that long. I sent several emails with no response, ended up calling and was told they were shipping, that day but they wouldn't give me tracking. I recieved them by the 16 day mark. I ordered a prescription pair of Ray Bans and love them. Even tho I love my sunglasses, I probably won't order from them again. First impressions are everything.

Order *******576 was never started, never delivered, and after a combination of more than a dozen emails, chats, and phone calls taking hours of my time and resulting in no movement in a positive and substantive manner, I started posting reviews to site jabber, reseller ratings, and ripoff report internet sites. I also filed a dispute with my credit card company. Finally, glassesusa.com refunded my $299.90 today. The customer service reps have a standard answer of "We are forwarding your information to the appropriate department", and you never hear from the "appropriate department" (however glassesusa.com responds very quickly to negative reviews on the internet - and there are tons of them). The customer Service reps don't even have a phone number for the GlassesUSA billing department which speaks volumes. Worst online shopping experience I've ever had.
