I can understand fraud issues but today i couldnt buy anything and when i went to check my balance it said my acount was suspended. So i call them and they tell me it was because i checked my balance a certain number of times. It makes no sense why I can't check my balance anytime i want. If that was the case they could of atleast warned me or have that labeled. I shouldnt be waiting days to be spending my money. NEVER USE THIS SERVICE
Tried to purchase a basic $25 visa gift card to deliver via email. Used the same credit card I use everywhere and, after a few hours, my order was cancelled. Supposedly, something about the order triggered their fraud detection process however they won't actually give any info on why something was denied.
So - that effectively means that they don't want me to order anything from them. Odd customer service - especially when I used that same credit card, both online and in a store, later that day without any issue.
No readable proof provided before cards were printed. Cards arrived with top of logo chopped off the printed card. Address name incorrect on mailing address. When we called to ask for a correction of our name was told they have no one in their company that can fix that. The only way to correct it was to place another order.
Idea of cards is a good one, however processing and delivery leave a lot to be desired. Will not use this company again.
Ordered a gift card 9/5/16 and still waiting for my friend to receive it. Now 9/22/16. Could have crawled to Bed, Bath, Beyond faster and had the card delivered sooner. Save your money and find another option.
I highly recommend staying away from this company - it's a complete fraud! I ordered 14 (small amount) gift cards for a party. This first time the site didn't work properly and I had to go back 2 days later after they were done "working on it". Once I placed the order, I immediately received an email that they had cancelled it. I tried calling custome service, which gave no information or help to resolve. Just a "sorry" and they don't have any information. They also did a pre-authorization of my card and that worked just fine, so obviously they are full of crap that it was a "security issue". The rep then told me that I was free to go online a place another order - are you kidding me? I order online all the time and this has NEVER happened to me, not have I had such a HORRIBLE customer svc experience.
That is Fraud company, giftcard.com they making most money to steal the money from the customers, never tell them to check the ballance, you never able to activate you gift card by phone, not possible to check the ballance on your card on website - that comany juts the joke

Attempted to purchase giftcard for a national chain restaurant. Order said "Cancelled" but no explanation was given. Tried again thinking it was my error in some way. Again cancelled. I wrote an email to giftcards.com telling them how irritated I was with their system. 15 minutes after my email, I get an email saying their compliance department couldn't approve my card "due to security." Okay, fine. Weird but fine. Went and verified I had entered the info correctly again... it was. So we went ahead and purchased actual gift cards at a physical location without issue. Same card btw. So, THEN I get 2 notice of preauthorized holds from giftcards.com from my bank. I was surprised to say the least. I called customer service at *******822 and spoke to GEORGE. Well, GEORGE was so disgustingly rude to me that my husband took the phone to finish the call. Anytime I tried to speak, GEORGE would say, "Can I talk now?" Over and over and over. So I'm making a police report about the charges and I'm calling my bank. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GIFTCARDS.COM. I tried, and won't make that mistake ever again.
They charged $4.95 a month for the gift card. I got my husband a gift card for his birthday with our wedding photo on it. He tried redeeming it earlier this year and it turns out the $100 became $25 after the fees being deducted for not using it. WHY would the company needs to deduct $4.95 a month? They got paid for the fees at purchase and shipping as well, not let the gift be whole. Working with Consumer Affairs to get attention on this. This is a similar tactic to what Groupon got dragged into lawsuits for. Looking forward to a favorable response in getting Giftcards.com off the market!
I had to cancel my gift card order for my son's birthday present because my son no longer had the mailbox that I used for his address (which he forgot to inform me of). I was assured that the order was cancelled and even given a Reference number for the cancellation. The very next day my bank account was charged for the full amount. When I called asking why this had happened, they said they did not know, but would be glad to put a new request in for a refund with high priority. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they had to put the new request in for refund first. I never got to speak to a manager as they kept making excuses and finally, I was given a new Reference number, but I'm sorry, I do not have any faith that this company will follow through and unfortunately, I will have to have my lawyer follow through.
Do yourself a favor and read the previous reviews. All are horrible and my experience was sadly the same. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!
I ordered custom gift cards for our coaches for our swim banquet. I did not receive a tracking number or any further information beyond an invoice number. I ordered 7 days in advance and requested and paid for 2 day shipping. I called day of the event. The service rep lied and told me that the cards had been sent the day after I ordered. After pressing, he gave me a tracking number with UPS. They had chosen ground not 2 day and the cards had shipped 5 days after the order. It's the day of the event and I have to run out to buy giftcards at the grocery. GiftCards.com refunded me, but only after a fair amount of discussion. Never, never again will I use this company.
I used to buy gift cards through this site all of the time. This time I bought a $300 for one of our employees. 2 months later, the card never arrived. The only reason why we discovered that the gift card had not arrived to our employee (as it was a surprise) was a chance spotting by our accounting team. After I called the site asking where the giftcard was, the absolutely WONDERFUL customer support person said it will come anytime between now and august 10th.
Me: "But I ordered this two months ago."
Him: "Yeah, well there was a problem with USPS. And this was one of them."
Me: "so if I hadn't called you folks just never would have sent the gift card?"
Him: "it will be there before 8/10".
Me: "right. But if I hadn't called, you wouldn't have sent them to me?"
Him: "it's going to get to you."
Me: "whatever. *click*"

I was really disappointed in the service I have received. I had placed an order for cards and spent extra money for 24 hour delivery service. I did not get delivered as requested. I then called customer service # *******822 on the Website which is the one they give on the responses on the other negative reviews. You will get someone from another country with a US name. I know because I had to call them several times and spoke to 5 different people 2 that were Supervisors. They all were difficult to understand. They were nice but not able to help with information. They would just keep telling me the same thing that someone would call be 24 to 48 hours and I do not get any calls back. They told me the first time they would email me the tracking # and I did not get the tracking #. I go to the site to track and it shows nothing about it being shipped. I begged to speak to someone to let me speak with someone that could help and they tell me they would escalate the matter and it may take 24 to 48 hours to get response but no response after 24 to 48 hours, They tell me it shipped but can't get me tracking #. I still have not received a call or package.
They sent me this on the original order was placed so I know the order was received.

I have had no communication from Giftcards.com unless I initiated the conversations. I needed cards for an event as a give away. I am now going to have to purchase generic cards locally because I don't have them yet.
I understand cards can be lost in shipping and if they communicated that to me I would understand. The problem Is they can't tell me anything about tracking even though I paid for 2nd shipping.
They just have canned responses when I call just like most of these on the responses here and giving the same phone # as they have on the site. Promising someone will get back just like the responses on here. To make it look like the care. I know because they also ask if they can have my email to send survey and I told them to send the survey and I have not gotten one survey yet. Save yourself the stress of customer no service and try someone else especially if you need for an important event. I will not use them again.
I was given a giftcard that my father was given a year ago, it had never been activated and had a 0 balance. When I called I spoke to several people as it didn't seem right that the inactivity fees were deducted even tho the card was not active. The gentleman I spoke to said he'd reverse the fees since no purchase was made and it would take 2 business days and I would be sent an email. 4 business days went by and I called to check the status. They didn't submit it and told me another 2 days I'd be good to go. A week went by still no refund.
Called again and the guy said it was being worked on 6 to 10 more business days. Waited, and called after 15 business days only to find out they needed my dad to call in to provide his information.
Explained that dad travels and isn't available nor does he want to waste his time on a gift card, that's why he gave it to me. Let them know I'd be happy to provide any and all information they need. Social, birthday, address whatever.
The gentleman explained no they needed to speak to him. When I asked why since I was willing to give any information needed he said because it's policy.
So policy is to rip people off and string them along? Should've told me a month ago instead just wasted my time. Horrible customer service, horrible company, horrible policies and just another company ripping people off. DO NOT buy cards from here. You will be disappointed and waste your money.
I called to get information about your gift cards. I placed 2 calls and both calls were HORRIBLE... I called very excited but by the time both calls were over I felt attacked, cut off with NO signs if hope. If you have big dreams and visions don't call this company. They will suck the life clean out of you. Ever heard of Negative Nancy? This is worse. HORRIBLE just HORRIBLE!
So I tried to order two gift cards. No problem, easy site to use, and had them ordered. Waited for an hour or so and then order cancelled. Odd. I check my bank account. Yep, enough money. Call the bank, no issue in processing the $1 verification step. Okay... try again. Attempted to reorder a few times after speaking to my bank. All of the orders were cancelled. Submitted a ticket asking for clarification.

Sounds like the reply on every single one of the bad reviews. Called customer service. "Two tier security system and compliance department. They have access to your information but we don't." I asked to speak with a member of the compliance department so I could get more information. "Sorry, there are no numbers in or out of the department." If this doesn't scream scam then I do not know what does. I ended up just making a trip to a real store and purchasing the cards. Now there is postage and everything involved but I would rather spend the money there rather than ever deal with this website or "company" again. If I could give less than 1 star then I would not hesitate to do so. I will be looking for other review sites to warn more customers.
I ordered about 48 hours ago. I CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES! EMAILED TWICE, AND STILL NO RESPONSE. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND I HOPE THERE BUSINESS GETS SHUT DOWN ONE DAY BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY SUCKS
I live out of the country and my sweet mother in-law tried to get me a virtual gift card. Unfortunately, it only works if you are on VPN. Then, after I have already spent almost an hour of my life trying to get any of the 4 links to work, I filled out my info and hit submit. NOTHING happens. It just kept replaying the same little gift video over and over. Super frustrating and a total scam. I have no idea if anyone will respond to my email asking for assistance. I would not have even gave it any stars. Total crap.
I've ordered a few times from here. Once my order was cancelled, another time delivery took way too long. I don't think they're crooks, but it just seems like a poorly operated business.
Avoid this company like the bubonic plague. No customer service would be an improvement.My cards were stolen and I have proof of that from a US Postal Inspector who is prosecuting the thief. I filled out the claim form affidavit and wrote an explanation. I've called numerous times and been lied to each time. I am turning my case over to my States Attorney Generals Office. I hope they are barred from doing business in my state.
Answer: This happened to me also. My credit card company said they would do a fraud investigation.
