From being left on the side of a highway in Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt) at 4am by the tour shuttle, to our tour group being left at the Cairo airport for over 1.5hr because the tour company forgot us (and then proceeded to lie about the reason throughout the entire day), to women on the tour being inappropriately touched, and then at 11pm on our return to Sharm El-Sheikh having no shuttle to return us to our hotels and having to pay a highly inflated taxi ride (because the taxi drivers all knew our predicament), this tour Sharm El-Sheikh - Cairo return was horrible. I am a woman in my forties, travelling with a female work colleague who is in her 20s. On a number of occasions we felt very vulnerable.
To make matters personally worse for me, two of my travel colleagues were fully reimbursed for the trip, however, because the tour company illegally charged me an additional US$55, I have been left out of pocket. Get Your Guide initially acknowledged that this cost was incorrect (see email below) and reimbursed me the US$55/AU$83.09 prior to agreeing to the full refund of the original cost. When they eventually acknowledged I was eligible for a full refund, they deducted the illegal additional $55 from this figure, so I have ended up out of pocket that amount.
The getyourguide.com platform is the worst I have ever experienced. After paying and receiving confirmation for my tour, the tour guide never showed up on the day and time of the tour. I complained right away after half an hour passed and requested refund. It has been days so far and there is no acknowledgement of the issue or promise of refund. Let alone that we didn't have the tour and it was too late to book an alternative. I didn't have any problems with other booking platforms like tripadvisor and viator.
Update: after submitting this review, the company emailed me an apology and a commitment to refund me.
Do not purchase anything from this company! Buyer Beware. They will cancel your tickets without warning and will not assist you in any way. No one will contact you leaving you without any help or tickets for your event. Customer Service sucks and they will not get a supervisor to assist you. I purchased tickets to Disney for New Years Eve and they cancelled the order without my warning or notification! Do not buy from these people they are scammers! Buyers Beware!

It happened to me with three reservations that I had until I understood what was happening and I lost 1000 euros which of course they don't admit that it was their fault.

Get Your Guide impersonates our business by advertising with Google Ad Words as 'Cairns Visitor Centre' - yet they are not based in Cairns and are an offshore OTA (online travel agent) who can only be contacted via a 'Call Centre' in the Philippines (just try to call them, you will see what I mean).
These companies do not play fair and use underhanded tactics, impersonating Australian businesses and implying they are based in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
They know nothing about Cairns.
They pay ZERO taxes in Australia.
They employ overseas work / labour forces.
They are in short highly unethical.
Do yourself a favour, try to book with local agents and tour operators where ever possible.

We had booked a New Year's Eve cruise in Miami through GetYourGuide, but we weren't able to get to Miami from Seattle as our flight was cancelled, rebooked, and cancelled a second time due to snowstorms and ice conditions at SeaTac Airport. Although we were able to cancel and get a refund on non-refundable hotel, rental car, and dinner reservations, GetYourGuide refused to make any exceptions for our situation and didn't cancel the booking. They completely lied to us; they told us they can't cancel because they contacted the activity provider and the activity provider didn't approve the cancellation, but when we called to activity provider they said they didn't get contacted by GetYourGuide at all. So we keep calling GetYourGuide customer support and they claim that they contact the activity provider, and we keep going back and forth between them in the same conversation. Terrible company to deal with, stay away.

They book with your providers. When I went to the tour, they had never actually booked and activity was sold out during my entire stay. To make it worse so were all other tour providers. Missed the opportunity of a lifetime I had flown out to do. Kind lady at customer service but ultimately no use. A gutting experience. Do not use this service, go directly with provider

They are awful, no one came to pick us up for a tour despite it being booked. We received no warning. Customer service refused to help us, I tried by virtual chat and call.

Booked Escorial Monastery Tour in Madrid for 21 Dec 2022.
First they changed it to 22 Dec 2022.
The meeting point was Commercial Gallery with meeting at 0830 for 0900
Was there at 0800 but wasn't there.
Didn't had live Google as I am visiting 10 countries with average 2 days each.
So I am not buying SIM everywhere.
Kept asking people. Most of them helped except we couldn't find the meeting point. One lady, with live Google even walked with me.
If you are not tech Savoy stay away from this company.
In Korea Japan USA & most of the Europe when you book a tour they give you street directions along with photo of a monument that is the meeting point. We have the experience pre Covid.
At 0833 & 0852 even asked a lady to call the number that changed the booking +34 672 63 41 95 without luck.
Missed my tour.
Thank goodness it was my 1st booking with this company & Spain is our first country of holiday.
Will stay away from them especially in the next 20 days.
Not so much worried about the money, but after travelling *******+km, wasted 1 of the 2 days.
How can you have a meeting point which 6 locals can't find on Google map.

My parents use the "Get Your Guide" app to book their Brisbane Cruise, however, the link in the app directed them to a completely different location than they were supposed to be. Unfortunately, this led them to be late for the trip with no ability to get on a later boat (and the next day they had to get back to Sydney). When they arrived they met with 2 other "Get Your Guide" customers that had the same issue...
When raising this technical app issue with the Get Your Guide, this issue was "not an issue" with their app, and no refund was provided. It's unfortunate that even providing the proof doesn't seem to make a difference for this company, as they simply highlighted that nothing was wrong...
I would therefore urged customers to use a more reliable and customer-focussed booking solution, as clearly Get Your Guide is a clearly trying to cash-in on the travel market, now people want to travel again...
If you can avoid using their solution, I would highly recommend this!

A few days ago we made a reservation for a yacht tour a day in advance we were told that this was not possible but the day later and now a day in advance we receive another email that the reservation is not possible but a bit earlier, but I'm afraid that's not possible either. We are on vacation and try to plan our days nicely, but it just shows that you depend on these types of amateurs. Never again that I'm going to book something through them I strongly advise against it

We bought a two-day Paris museums, plus boat ride on the Seine ticket. Our email directed us to download the app, which we did and followed the instructions to put the tickets on my phone. Two tickets arrived. Next day at the first museum we could not use them because there was no barcode. I messaged to get a refund, sent screen-shots, etc. Sorry, they replied the activity planners (of which there were none) and our reserved times (of which there were none) had already been paid and on top of that, we were really supposed to go by their office and pick up our tickets. What? You tell someone to download your app to access your tickets but, oops! I really meant go pick these same tickets at our office. They denied my refund. I will deal with them with my credit card company when I get home. Do not use GetYourGuide!

They sent me a link for the tickets with a "reschedule" button. Our flight was impacted so I went to change the time 2 DAYS in advance. I got an error message saying "not provided" I reached out to the museum. They said I had to come back to GetYourGuide. I emailed them and got an FAQ link instead of help. Then I had to download this app. My refund was refused because now it was less than 24 hours in advance. I let them know I had the screenshot of the error message from their link. Again they refused to reschedule or refund me. I'm out $100 for their broken email! They refused to escalate my issue for me. I checked with the museum and they have plenty of availability. Don't trust these guys. You have to download the app to get your tickets whether you want to or not and their IT is faulty. Go direct. -
With this post I would like to warn potential customers of GetYourGuide. I would definitely not recommend booking with them but highly recommend to find another company to book your trips with.
GetYourGuide has the worst customer service. If you really need something they don't care about you. They only care as long as you don't ask them for something. They only act for their own benefits and are not happy to come up with customer friendly solutions if you've got a problem concerning the booked tour.

Booked a boat tour advertised as having "hotel pickup and drop-off" right in the title in Santorini. At the last second, the tour operator emailed me telling me to meet them at the old port. I replied to their email but they did not respond. I opened their link on Google Maps and drove there. When I got to the location where they sent me, I found out that the old port was half an hour away by cable car and walk. By then, it was too late for me to make it in time, so I used someone else's phone to call the office where I was supposed to meet them. The lady who answered informed me that there was no boat at that time anyway, took my confirmation number, and told them she'd have the tour operator contact me. I never heard from them. I then asked GetYourGuide for a refund since the title of the tour was a complete lie, plus the tour operator never answered my email and didn't explain where to meet or how to get there, plus it sounded like the boat tour never happened anyway. Their response was that my cancellation request was outside the cancellation period, lol! And of course they wouldn't be offering a refund. They just ignored every single fact about this situation. Very scammy site with sketchy "customer service." From now on I will only be booking tours through hotels and will certainly never use GetYourGuide again.

They will sell you a Gift Card based on a trip they don't sell (even if it's on their website) then refuse to refund your money.

Don't book ahead. If you suddenly get Covid19,24 hours before your tour starts, you won't get a refund. We are out over $300 for a bus tour in Dover, Canterbury and Kent area. Very disappointed in their business ethics.

Do not use this company- they will cancel your tour 15 minutes before it starts an you will have a difficult time getting your money back. The company should have refunded my money when they cancel. I have been working on getting a refund for 30 minutes an nothing has gotten done.

Their link came up when google searching for specific tickets while visiting Lisbon so I purchased the service thinking I was buying those tickets. I ended up not using the service because it did not include the tickets I needed. I contacted the company and explained the situation and requested refund but they gave me some run around and said I can't receive refund because requested refund through Paypal. I admit to buying the service by mistake, but I don't think it's good business to refuse refund for services not redeemed.
