I chose excursions through this service because of their advertised "no questions asked" cancellation policy. BUT no only won't they cancel an event over 2 months out, they won't even rebook. I suggest a rename to Get Your Money and Run."

We went as a couple to Spain/Barcelona for my birthday and booked a guided tour with tower at Sagrada Family on April 03,2023. We were very disappointed. Almost everything went wrong, starting with a poor guiding experience to not being able to access the tower ( which we paid for) and culminating to a second booking charge of $182.96 on my credit card. We would not recommend anyone to book anything with this agency.

This company is fraudulently using our company name, Charleston Pirate Tours, in their Google ads. We have nothing to do with them. We get angry calls from their customers and have to explain that they did not buy tickets for our tour. We have asked them to stop using our name to no avail.

Booked a tour of Alhambra palace with live guide and additional points of interest with Get Your Guide a month in advance, all paid for and received our confirmations with names and passport info. Spent more than 8000$ for travel and accommodation and food and local transportation in high travel season, not to mention taking off from work ( 4 working family member) to get from New York City to Granada, Spain, only to receive an email three hours before meeting our tour guide, to say " So sorry, your booking has been cancelled due to some computer error, we will refund your money in 3-5 business day".
No contact info, after our hotel concierge contacted some local number for this site, we were told oh yeah, this happens with this company all the time.
A face to face interaction at the site of the tour meeting with some of their local guide representatives resulted in more meaningless apologies and a possible offer for a visit in two weeks! We are leaving the country in two days!
Do Not waste your resources and vacation with this company, you will kick yourself later.

BEWARE! Get Your Guide pulled a switch on me at the last minute that cost me 90 dollars. I booked a full day tour with hotel pick up. The hotel was in Bucharest and the tour departed from intercontinental. LESS THAN 24 hours before the trip, the company says they sent an email which I never received and then when I requested the email forwarded as proof the sent me an edited screen shot of like an excel spreadsheet saying they sent it (never got it). My spouse called and was unable to get anyone to answer the phone. Evidently we were supposed to go to a different location for meet up, but we paid to be picked up at the hotel. So frustrating! They had our hotel info for WEEKS IN ADVANCE. After talking to get your guide we are told we will not be refunded and we won't be able to do the tour we have been excited for for a long time, all because of Get Your Guide's unreliable and inappropriate business practices. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

This company is fraudulent. They use other's websites to link to their site when the website they link from doesn't even advertise with them. It is illegal, immoral and they should be shut down. They have been told but refuse to correct matters. Selfish people using others to gain profit. Typical capitalists with an evil purpose.

Not worth the money. 140 euros for basically a 3 hours experience. Lunch was great but the staff was not really there the entire time if you wanted more food. Came late to pick us up, lots of waiting, on the boat also lots of waiting and the snorkeling was ok, nothing spectacular so it's good if you never snorkelled, but quite short.
At least 1 more hour would have made the experience better.
I sent a message to share my experience nobody ever bothered to reply.
I don't mind paying but this was a joke. Do not recommend it.

Very disappointed. The unpleasant staff was unwilling to solve our problem. Even though we departed 2 hours in advance to arrive to Colosseum in time, there was a technical issue with metro A and the whole line was out of order. So for the problem which wasn't even our fault we weren't able to get there on time. We were 10 minutes late and nobody was willing to wait for us or reschedule the entry for later thus we needed to buy an another ticket. The QR code that was provided by get your guide couldn't be used as an entry ticket without the presence of the guide therefore it was useless to us. Furthermore the company refused to pay us a refund. Very unpleasant situation with horrible attitude of the company. When calling to the help desk and asking for instructions, the help desk officer laughed in our face and satirically told us to hurry up as we wont see the colosseum nor the money if we don't get there in time. I will never buy tickets from here. I do NOT recommend this website.

There was an optional boat trip that was 5 times over priced with no other option. Than took us to other service providers that were only interested in their tips and not the service.

WARNING: I booked this and was left to my own devices when no one showed up.
I booked the Tokyo: Private Transfer to/from Haneda Airport. They are supposed to provide a driver to pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. I booked this for my parents who were coming to Japan for the first time. Unfortunately, no driver arrived which was very stressful for my family. I had to then try and sort it out. Get your Guide outsources this service to another company. The number that is provided is one from China and no one answers when you call that number. I managed to chat with someone from GYG on their chat function on the website. After explaining the situation, they said they will look into it. They were very dismissive of the stressful situation and offered no solutions. No alternative methods of travel to replace their lack of services that was booked was also very appalling as it just showed that they did not want to take any responsibility for what happened. The main disappointment is the lack responsibility taken by GYG to deal with the lack of services provided. Whilst i understand that the service is to be provided by an outsourced company, there should at least be compassionate communication to the guests who contact you which did not occur.
I booked other tours with GYG which did not have any issues, but i really do just want to send a warning to others that this particular service is atrocious.
We purchased six (6) tour tickets for Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona. All of our tickets from GetYourGuide were 34% more than we would have paid had we purchased them directly from the tour company's websites, inclusive of all taxes and fees. We paid $281 more than we would have paid the tour companies for the same tours.

We booked a whale watching tour in Tenerife through getyourguide since they paid Google to appear as the first result. Big mistake as the tour wasn't available/was canceled, and getyourguide didn't let us know. Getyourguide also autofilled the wrong country code as my mom's phone number, so the tour company couldn't even contact us. Also, getyourguide said we had to meet at a completely different point than at the harbour, while this was not the case at all. Thankfully the tour company compensated us, but please never book this THROUGH a booking company like getyourguide and just call the tour company instead.

Ive used this company many times without a problem until now.I was I Japan fancied a tour to Mount Fuji booked all good to go.first time in Japan so knew I would need to used maps to get me around used link on app to find meeting point let out in enough time spent 45 mins to find this place.i'm usually pretty good at finding places maps wasn't working got to asking every man and his dog for assistance my phone was for data only so got a member of the public to ring tour operator.got through they we about as helpful as a chocolate spoon beyond useless I didn't understand what I was saying just saying get a taxi which wasn't a problem but made no sense when I asked a taxi driver where I needed to go.asked a police officer same response 15 mins gone got to use some one else's phone tour again told I missed it said I can do another day if I wish told them that was my last day so no good.told them I would speak to get your guide as this was totally un expectable thinking they would sort this out how wrong I was.in summary if they send you the wrong way tough luck no refund, no credit no customer service empathy what so ever.i used them a lot in dubia so you would think as a discretion they would offer you something to keep your custom and have some understanding.Their response is not on a personal level what so ever no trying to help the situation what so ever so this reason I would never use or advise using this company ever again.
