IT WAS A EASY PROCESS, BUT I WISH THAT IT DIDN'T CHARGE MY CARD RIGHT AWAY. GOING FORWARD I'LL BE PREPARED FOR THAT AND WILL USE GETAROOM AGAIN. I DID HAVE TO CANCEL DO TO SCHEDULE CONFLICT AND THAT ALSO WAS VERY EASY.
Be aware of this "xxhotel.guestreservations.co" website. They are from "getaroom" agent, which mislead you and charge huge amount of so call "tax recovery charges & service fees" it made your cost for staying at least 30% higher then what it should be. Be alert! They speak like the reservation dept of that hotel, but not!
Your agent did not disclose I was talking with 3rd party. Guaranteed that room was non smoking stating entire Hampton Inn was ns. Not so. Hampton told me. They would not honor your commitment. I expect an additional discount for this medical issue. Contact me. John Deluca.

Thought I was booking a room for Omni hotel in Washington with Omni, apparently I was redirected to "get a room" while they do have a service charge, the service works

Watch this company and STAY FAR AWAY. They show up on hotel sites and make you think you are booking directly with the hotel. I booked a room and with 3 minutes realized I entered the incorrect check out date, I call them immediately and was to there are no refunds. After three calls to them getting no where, I spoke with the Asst Gen Mgr and Hilton Garden Inn. After telling me they are a 3rd party company she explained that she would only charge me for one night and that when this company saw that I would get a refund for the 2nd night. This company charged $12.99 for this nightmare, took my funds from my bank immediately when I booked, for the 18th and to date I still DO NOT HAVE MY REFUND. PLEASE ONLY CALL THE HOTELS DIRECTLY TO AVOID THIS TERRIBLE ORDEAL

Went to book a room was redirected to getaroom, decided to call in person. Booked a king size jacuzzi suite and paid the rate. Find out that I was booked into a wheelchair room with a queen bed. Complete scammers and wouldn't recommend to anyone

Have never never dealt with a company that had such unethical business practices. I booked a room not knowing it was a 3rd party. Immediately, (less than 5 min) after receiving the email I called to simply change the date and was told that I could not do so and would have to make a new reservation. I have since called multiple times trying to speak to someone about changing the date and continuously denied the opportunity of even speaking with a supervisor. I have been charged $290.00 for a room I won't be using.

SCAMMERS. I hope they get caught. You cancel you pay full amount. So why cancel? This alone is fraudulent. They also use the hotel name at the top of the URL to get you to think you are on the hotel website very fraudulent scam. I made a reservation and then found out it was through a third party website and not the hotel website. I was advised that I cannot book through a 3rd party website and 10 minutes later, I called them and told them that I need to cancel and that person (J... n) said I would have to pay the full amount even if I cancelled and did not help at all. So now I have to pay cash out of my pocket for a room on a business trip and stay in another paid room because I had to book it through the hotel directly. I am now going to other review sites to let people know.

I did not receive my email confirmation until the next afternoon. Thinking I might not have hit "submit" I booked with another site and now getaroom.com won't work with me and provide any refund since I went through my cc company for a dispute (that was denied) No calls, no emails, just lame facebook instant messages. "sorry, we cant help" type stuff. Stick to the good sites (expedia.com, booking.com, travelocity.com etc) that you KNOW will provide you with peace of mind when booking hotels.
Charged us over $40 more than they said, hotel wasn't even booked using our card, was booked using a one time prepaid card according to front desk. Called back after getting confirmation email and they wouldn't even listen to anything I said, and blamed the hotel saying they wouldn't let them cancel. Refunded us $49 dollars after this reviews were posted. Changing from 1 star to 2.

Very easy to do for my first time and I hope I got a really good deal.
If you are similar to myself by checking the Resort actual price and other sites discount price as compared to GetARoom discount it was a no brainer. The GetARoom online process was also simple to book a room.
I got in contact with someone and they were able to assist me with my needs which was a relief. I appreciated their flexibility with me.

This review is purely referring to their customer service. I originally had an error in my room reservation, after reaching out to getaroom I was contacted by their customer service right away and they were able to help resolve the issue with no trouble. Good customer service.

This website is just a for profit website. I thought I was calling the Hampton Inn direct. Booked room(if it was booked with Hampton Inn the cost would have been $143.) Didn't know I was dealing with these thieves. They charged $56.60 for tax recovery fees. What a scam. I didn't know about the charge until I received the email receipt. Again the way the web page was set up it liked like I was calling the hotel. Buyer beware. Disputed claim with my credit card company. They said I agreed to the contract. I didn't but that was their claim. Tax recovery fee was extra taxes and for cleaning the room. Dealing directly with the Hampton that was all part of the price. Again thieves, thieves, thieves. WIth the added fees that the hotel charges after your stay it ends up being more expensive when compared to other hotel reservation sites. Very disappointed. GetARoom needs to let the buyer know the full expected price upfront so that people know not to bother clicking on the link if someone else is truly offering a cheaper stay!

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
