Never use GetARoom it is a total ripoff. I made reservation for the wrong date online and I immediately call them back to get the date corrected and was told I can't and was not refunded my money back. 5 mins had not even past when I was trying to make the correction.
Enjoyed my stay very much - the sign outside the hotel was in tough shape, but the hotel itself quite nice. I also ran into a couple of errors prior to arrival, and it was handled very well by your people. Thank you.
I was only trying to find a special place for a gift to my family and I somehow reached this terrible site... I was on a time crunch due to most places in the Transverse City area saying they were already full for the dates needed. So when the Great Wolf Lodge came up as having that date open, I jumped on it. When filling out the form for adults and children, I filled in 2 and 2. I had to refill out the personal info at least 3 times not realizing it was changing the adult/children back to 2 /0. When I finally received the reservation info from Getaroom, it showed 2 Adults only. I called GetaRoom and had a RUDE woman to talk to and she explained I would HAVE to CANCEL AND REDO my reservation AND would be charged ONE NIGHT for canceling! I tried to explain I DIDNT WANT TO CANCEL, ONLY ADD 2 CHILDREN. I finally told her NEVER MIND. I would call Great Wolf Lodge... she said that wouldn't change anything because THEY would have to contact GETAROOM anyway. I called Traverse city and had a WONDERFUL Customer service man treat me with great kindness and respect which GetaRoom DID NOT and I was able to work out my problem... BUT I discovered I WAS OVERCHARGED $130.44 By going through GETAROOM! HE TOLD ME TO NEVER GO THROUGH PLACES LIKE THEM... YOU WONT SAVE! Learned a lesson and I LOST $130.44 which could have been used for my kids and grandkids VACATION!
Booked a room for a seminar, the seminar date and location changed, I tried to transfer my reservation since it is a "non refundable' reservation, they told me that there was nothing they could do! Horrible service rep. Not friendly, and not helpful.
Get a room agency is a very deceptive, I canceled my reservation within a half a hour of booking it, the didn't give back a refund, their non refund policy states "Each room in this reservation is subject to the hotel's cancellation policy which is: This reservation is non-refundable. There is no refund for no-shows or early checkouts". Doesn't state if cancel, I cancel very soon after making reservation, I am very upset and hope this review helps anyone, I'll never use this agency again. Update: get a room finally refunded my money however will think twice before I book next time, the problem is the cancellation policy...

I saved 60$ booking with get a room, it did take 24 hours to get into the Hilton system but it's valid and a good savings if u call early enough! Recommended to friends
They cleverly hide what you need to know just to get you to book. Once booked, you'll discover that by the way, you're in for extra this or that. It's too late to back out because it's all non-refundable even if you call immediately after booking. In our case we were trying to get a hotel and, after entering credit card data, actually went to read the terms and conditions, because it says that "you agree to the Terms and Conditions" (which are pretty long and buried within them is that our booking is non-refundable). Then we got out of that page and decided to go for another reservation. I had to make sure that our credit card data did not get sent. An accidental swipe must have triggered an order submission instead of cancellation. As I finished ordering another hotel with another website I'm getting a confirmation that getaroom has ordered something for me. I immediately called them and they absolutely and rudely refused to do anything about it. It's not like I ordered months in advance and then tried to cancel, preventing them from selling this to someone else. No, it was literally seconds. These people are rude and are crooks. I recommend avoiding them if possible

Thought I was booking through hotel's website but somehow was hijacked by GetARoom.com Made reservation at 9:25 pm and cancelled within 27 mins. Called cust. Service and they said reservation was unrefundable ($400). Looked at receipt and it said nonrefundable due to hotel's policy... that is not the case with the hotel which allows you to cancel w/refund up to two days before your arrival. And the hotel's rate was cheaper for the very same room. Working with credit card company to dispute, will report to BB, Attorney General's office, warn the hotel, and pursue legal channels. Call your hotel directly instead of booking online!
Deceptive site, charged more than $100 over the rack rate. Also I was charged again when I. Checked in. Never Again!
This is the most horrible booking agency available. I will never use this agency again unless something is done about my incident. I have submitted a "Customer Care and Escalations" like the support operator had prompted me to do. She told me I would gain a respond within 24hrs. As your website did, she lied! I have yet to get a response back. I will be telling all my friends, family, and writing a review about my experience.
I would not book with you ever again and I told Trip Advisor the same. You could have handled my request in the first phone call but you refused. I had to get Trip Advisor to intervene. Twice. It was so simple. I wanted to add a night to my trip. Simple but not for you. I was first told to cancel my booking and book again but the problem with that was the price had increased considerably. Terrible Service. You should find out who took my calls and retrain them. Trip Advisor was great but like I told them if I see you name as the vendor I would not book.
First time here and was great. I emailed the hotel for some info and got the replies fast. Can't wait until I get there. Highly recommended!

We had to cancel part of our booking which was difficult but did work out in the end. The cancellation was last minute due to a tropical storm/hurricane. Verification of no cancellation was required from the hotel.
I am a senior citizen and this hotel took my money and would not help me make the right reservation at the correct hotel and area!
I want ashland new Hampshire and got ashland Oregon instead and when i call to have them fix it or return my money they refused to make it right... the american way right, no refund or reschedule to the right hotel in new hampshire i would not ever book a room with best western or get me a room.com they have bad customer service... it was not right to take my money or at least make the right reservation at the right hotel in new hampshire not Oregon I WANT MY MONEY BACK
The room was awesome. Complentary drink and snacks. Indoor pool and spa. Gated parking. Awesome experience!
Hotel did not have RSVP after almost of week of booking, so I booked directly with the hotel. Thank goodness they still had rooms available for the popular dates for Macy's parade in NYC
I thought I was making a reservation directly with Hyatt. As I was making the reservation with the agent, I changed my mind and she said she would cancel it. Lo and behold, she never cancelled the reservation. On top of that, she had my email address incorrect, so I never got a confirmation email to let me know that I had a reservation. So I got charged the full amount for the reservation. And on top of that, they imposed a tax recovery charge and service fee that was almost as much as one night's room charge. I tried to get a refund but to no avail. I will never use this site again!
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
