We purchased a drone and accessories on December 26,2016 and Geekbuying stated they shipped the product on January 11,2017 which was false. They later tried giving us a DHL shipping number that did not exist and then after a full month of back and forth gave us a full refund with no explanation. You can not click on any of their links, their contact information is international as they are based out of China. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!"

In mid-December 2016, I ordered a drone for my son. They charged my credit card right away but I never got an email confirming shipping. I contacted them in early January 2017. It was then that they told me that they could not ship to a PO Box. I gave them a street address to ship to. They said it would take 2-6 days to send out my order and that they would send a confirmation email when that happened. That never happened. In mid-January, I tried contacting them again on their Chat but nobody answered. I tried contacting them thru PayPal, who they use for their credit card transactions. Several days later, still no response from GeekBuying. I then asked PayPal to intervene, as my credit card had been charged back in December and I still had no product from GeekBuying. PayPal just sent me an email letting me know that GeekBuying will be refunding my credit card. This was a very disappointing experience. I do not understand why they would charge my credit card, and then never deliver the product.

BEWARE!

My experience: I bought a smartphone from them. They promised to send it from 5 to 7 days after purchase. 3 weeks after I contacted customer service they told me the item was out of stock and they didn't know when it will be available again.

They offered me a different model to the one I wanted, I refuse. I asked for a refund. They offered me same model in a different color. I asked for a refund. They told me to patiently wait. I accepted the same item in different color. They send nothing in approximately week and a half.

I opened a dispute on paypal, nearly to the end of the dispute I received a phone in a colour that I didn't want with crappy accessories that broke in the second week of use.

I will never buy nothing from them again, neither you should.

Trustworthy

I have bought a phone from them in November 2016, now buying again. The phone was shipped in time and the quality was perfect. Nothing to be afraid of.

Pros: honest trustworthy people to shop with. Flexible payment methods. I paid in two parts for a phone because of my bank limit.

Cons: slow in responding to emails, but wait for their answer, takes about 2 days or less if you are lucky. Holiday season is slow for response.

Just catch them on live chat, it takes about 10-15 mins for a person to come online and chat, less if you are lucky. Discuss and clarify your doubts in detail, ask about product availability and they will give you an honest answer as to when it would be in stock for shipment. They keep their word, just because we are impatient and due to our expectations we get frustrated but overall they do keep their word if they say it.

Buyer Beware

I placed an order 9 days ago. The site said that processing time would be 1-2 business days, I have yet to receive any communication on my order. I have sent emails with no reply. The site says my order is still processing. I find it poor customer service for a company to not provide any communication, especially around Christmas time. When someone does finally respond i will probably cancel my order.

Update: So after my 4th email and posting a review geekbuying finally responded with a confirmation email saying my order had shipped... however... they sent me a fake tracking number. *******835 is supposed to be my DHL tracking number.

Update: it's been 6 days since my last update. The "tracking number" has still not updated. I'm convinced that it's not real. The one and only response i got from geekbuying, after i posted this review, has been absolutely no help. I still don't know where my package is.

Update: About 6 days ago they contacted me and said that the fake "package" was accidentally sent to the wrong address, go figure. They finally sent another tracking number and actually sent my purchase. After 21 days i finally got my purchase that I was supposed to get in 10 days. If companies are just honest with the customer it would save a lot of frustration.

Geekbuying sent incorrect handset. They requested I return the handset but had to follow their instructions which I was not comfortable with. You are forced to follow their instructions even if there is a risk it will not work. As expected, the return deliver failed and was I am now forced to go and collect from courier. I always believed the return delivery would fail or I will lose out but had no choice. They know how to play the system and force customers into giving up returning items.
If, and I say if, you are sent the incorrect item you will loose out. The financial cost is with you if the purchase goes wrong. They push the cost of mistakes onto customers. Avoid them at all costs unless you are willing to take that hit.

Got an Mi Box Pro

Shipping: not the fastest. However, since it's from China, I find it understandable.

Customer service: fast and patient. I made a mistake about the order, and complaint about it. They followed up quickly and solved the issue. (p.s. If you saw the previous review from me, that was a mistake on my part -- I got two Mi Box at home. One is the standard version, and the other is Pro. I thought I got the standard version from Geekbuying, and found out that I was wrong. This is why I change my review.)

Product: Good!

Overall: I think I am willing to buy things from the site again!

SCAMMERS! TENGAN CUIDADO TAKE AWAY

Voy a avisar a Google Adwords y toda las networks sobre sobre esta tienda son estafadores (scammers!),

El día del Thanskgiven day compre un celular Xiaomi redmi pro por 168 dolares mas aparte pague 18.99 dolares por el envió vía DHL, pasaron (25 días) nunca se reflejo en el menú de Shipped que supuestamente es cuando ya te lo envían.

Pues me enviaron e-mails con sus pretextos y salieron que no tenían el articulo les paso la secuencia de todo los e-mails abajo.

Lo que yo voy a proceder es hacer una denuncia con las NETWORKS! De GOOGLE ADWORDS para que esta pagina web la penalicen tanto de ADWORDS como de las NETWORKS en las que tienen sus campañas de publicidad.

Así como también voy a proceder a denunciarlos en Google buscador como pagina no segura para compras e igual en los diferentes foros hispanos llamar a la gente que ha sido o se ha sentido molesta por el mal servicios, así como el pésimo servicios de envíos, así como el horrible servicio de atención al cliente, o han sido estafados por esta pagina web china.

Voy a entablar una de manda vía MASTER CARD! Con las autoridades chinas para que se pongan en contacto por ser un sitio web por Ciber delincuencia.

Ademas hablar con los agentes de los navegadores de Google Chrome y Mozilla Firefox así como Explore para que implementen un filtro sobre este sitio, para que aparezca como sitio dañino para el usuario, que sea catalogado como sitio fraudulento.

Por favor si también ustedes han sido estafados por este sitio web comuníquense conmigo vía Whatsapp, para ir contra esta tienda y hacer que la quieten de los buscadores y las networks para que se les acabe su negocio de estafar a clientes del exterior.

Ese es mi punto (DENUNCIARLOS CON GOOGLE, DENUNCIARLOS CON TODA LAS NETWORKS QUE TRABAJAN, DENUNCIARLOS CON ADWORDS Y DENUNCIARLOS CONO LOS AGENTES DE NAVEGADORES) ;).

My order has been "processing" well beyond the stated shipping time and so I emailed asking that if the order had not already shipped (since I paid extra for "registered airmail"), to cancel the order and refund me. I received no response until 1.5 days later: Instead of replying to my email, they send automated email shipment notice, ignoring my request. Also, live chat is provided for new order / sales only. For existing orders, customers must send email in which case they don't respond. I will not buy from Geekbuying ever again and will instead use Banggood which has a much better website and turnaround.

Never ever buy from them!

Hi. I bought a phone for my wife, a Christmas gift. I paid immediately without reading reviews first. I wasn't thinking. They promised to ship it in 2-7 days. 15th day today and still order not processed. The payment was "processing" for 10 days until I got impatient and asked what was going on. Then they sent me a fake DHL tracking number. Fake as DHL told me they never received the packet. It was Geekbuying what sent shipping info in order to get the tracking number but have never actually posted the phone. Evert time I send an email they ask me to be patient. 6 days later and still no sign of the packet in DHL. But they told me a hundred times it was with the DHL but it is the busy season so DHL has mess and they could not scan my packet for last 6 days? And then last email that they actually only shipped it to DHL and the shippingbis delayed so I should be patient. And the same bullsit they offered me the 3% off coupon to keep me quiet. How naive they are, even more than I was.
Now - I made a huge mistake as I paid using my visa debit. It may be more difficult to get the money buck but Ivona Peskova who reviewed a few posts back is helping me together with her friend in China. Local police was informed of an issue and I'm hoping to get my money back. The biggest problem is I wasted money and time and now I have to spend more to find another present for my wife. Stay away from this site and never buy anything. Let them suffer. Pass it to everyone so they never scam anyone again. Please pass this to all your friends. And do not try to believe their replies to my review if there is any. It will be lies like all of them so far. Just read other reviews first. Too many of is were scammed snd lost money.

And you - people from Geekbuying - I hope you will loose all you have and that you will get to prison for decades. I hope you get sick or die. Whatever to make you suffer for all of us.

I kindly ask you all to send me details of your case including your order number, your name and date/way of payment to email address: geekbuying. Fraud. Report(at)gmail.com. I decided to help you all since there are really lot of victims of this fraud company. I will send the common criminal report with all reported cases. I have already contacted one Chinese friend of mine living in Shenzen and she will help us all to deliver this report personally to the Yuanling Police Station in Shenzen. You can also contact police directly at jws.gdga.gov.cn (if you know Chinese) or at shenzhenking. Com/police. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me on above mentioned email address. We must keep together and be very strict so we can eliminate such a fraudist criminal behaviour. Chinese law enforcement forces are very strict with fraudists and they might even close the websites so do not be impassive and fight for your rights and money.

His my order number: #******* 28 days passed but my order was didn't send and I've canceled then I got my money back. I bought it from AliExpress. They post the product after 3 days. I could not benefit from discount because of yours! And I was waited 1 month for nothing! You seem to have products that are not in your stocks! You are fooling your customers and you are stealing people's time! I will not make any more purchases with you after that and I will tell everyone that the is not reliable!

Just keep away

Have bought from these guys before, probably spent a couple of thousand here had generally ok service, but this has been a complete clusterf@#$*. Order two mobile at the beginning of February, Grace from geekbuying contacted me a week later saying one of the phones wasn't available, would I be interested in another option, it is $15 cheaper. Sure, ok fine, there was a bit of a time constraint, I needed them for May 15th, just send them. Ok, we will send them out right away! They even speedily refunded the $15! After a month I start checking the mailbox everyday, nothing.
April comes along, starting to get worried. Ok, go find the email with the tracking numbers... oh, they never sent it. Contact Grace (with her email chain). One week later she finally responds, Oh, but you cancelled your order! I certainly did not! And if I did, why was the money not returned. 3 days later, oh sorry, someone mistakenly cancelled your order. Ok, well send it! 2 days later, sorry, we don't have one if the phones in your color! I don't care send whichever. I also look and see that the phone is now $80 cheaper than when I had originally ordered it. So I ask if they can send by expedited shipping, and any chance of giving the discount? 2 days later, sorry, we can't give you the discount, we can give you a $5 coupon for your troubles. And we can't spend money on expedited shipping (plus customs might look at it and charge you). What should we do? Just ship the damn things!
2 days later, ok, we will ship it.
2 days later, shipping email with tracking number
57 days since it was finally shipped out - STILL NO PACKAGE - 140 days since initial order and charging of my credit card.
So moral of the story, if you need anything from these guys in say, I donno, 6 months, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! And if you get an email from Grace about anything, cancel and go to anther website because your order just fell into a black hole!

What a bad website

Geekbuying has the worst after sale support. I bought Mi bands after I bought phone, bands are already on the way, but not the phones. The watches' tracking number don't seem to work anymore. The story about the phones: Ordered two phones, different colours. Paid for them on the 28th of October 2016. The one colour option was out of stock, so they generously asked me what other phone I want within the price range. The phones was supposed to be here already (for my kids' birthday). I contacted them to ask if they could send (at no extra cost) a little better phone, as I paid extra for the shipping, and it exceeded the promised limit of 15 business days to get here. I am very frustrated, it should have been here, but is not even shipped. I sent them a very detailed e-mail about my problem, but no response. I wait so long. The order number for the phones are *******

Hopeless Customer Service

Absolutly horrible website. Purchased 2 cell phones worth 420USD in total. First got a message from them saying that the order is of very high value and the region from where I am shopping is high risk so I must provide additional proof of identity. I did send all the details and the charged my credit card for 420USD. After the charge I get another email saying my zip code is incorrect and I cannot DHL my purchase to this location. I tried to explain them that for last 8 years I have been getting items delivered to same location via DHL. Didn't help.

Then I decided to request a refund. Their live chat service is unavailable 24x7! The one time I could chat after like a loooooooooooong wait, as soon as I said I want a refund the agent simply ignored me. I tried calling the number on their website and I always get a busy message. I have even emailed them asking for refund and I got no response. I hope they do not read this and respond saying the zip code is incorrect because that's all the agent kept repeating throughout.

Will never shop from these guys again.

Liars

They are liars! I had bought a phone on August 8. It was dead on arrival (white stripes running up and doen the screen). I could have it repaired locally and they would share the costs. Ridiculous, so I wanted to send it back. They promised to refund the shipping costs. Now they say I have misunderstood them and they don't pay for the shipping costs and I have to pay an extra stocking fee (what ever that means). So sending back a 50 euro phone has costed me 32 euro's. I would have preferred to keep the damn thing and smash it with a hammer. What a scam!

Liers and scammers

I had exactly the same problem with MAI W. Perhaps is a regular trick of this company. They just get a tracking code but dont send something. And after this they try to not refund you with lies. Professional scammers.

Avoid them at any cost.

I ordered a Android TV Box on August 6, today is August 24, have not got it yet, 1st they responded to my email saying be Patient, but then they even did not sent me anything, luckily I paid through PayPal and I made a dispute and I will get money back, these people are con artist.
