Gainesville Coins exhibits a mixed reputation among customers, with notable strengths in product quality and competitive pricing. Many customers appreciate the variety of offerings and commend the knowledgeable staff. However, significant concerns arise regarding service delays, with numerous reports of extended wait times for orders and inadequate communication from customer service. Issues related to shipping transparency and return policies also contribute to dissatisfaction. Overall, while some customers report positive experiences, the recurring complaints about order fulfillment and customer support suggest a need for improvement in operational efficiency and responsiveness.

My purchase with Gainesville Coins was very good, the order arrived in the stipulated time, they are very professional in what they do.
I had very good advice when buying and they arrived on time, they are very good, I think this company is the best at what it does.
They have an excellent team when I go there they treat me very well, they do a great job and they have the best products of this type.
I had seen them on the page, but now that I have them I realize that they are much better than I imagined!
I congratulate you, they are a great company, the customer service is excellent, they support you in all your doubts so that you can make a good purchase.
A friend took me to this company and when I saw their products I liked them so much that I started my collection.
Gainesville Coins handles excellent products and good quality materials. I have wonderful collections!
I love the coins that this company makes, they are of excellent quality, if you are a collector I recommend them
Excellent product, they brought me two coins as a gift and they seemed very beautiful, I'm waiting for the ones I ordered yesterday.
I like the products they have, it is the only place where I find my favorite designs I love the silver bars
I loved the service they offered me, also the variety of products they offer, and from the presentation of their coins it can be seen that they are a very serious company, and very orderly
I wish I could recount a positive experience with dishonest, indifferent employees at Gainsville Coin.
My initial call and purchase were fine. I ordered 4 monster boxes (not a small order) October 28th and was told there was a shipping delay and the coins would ship November 17th. I accepted this and sent funds.
November 17th came and went. No updates, NO COINS. I called and was told there were more delays because of hurricanes (bs. This order was made after last storm passed through FL) and they could not give me a date or even a range of when my coins would arrive. Now I'm concerned!
Call again a week later and was told I'd be called back when they could give me a date. No one called. I called again the following day and dealt with a rude, indifferent woman that said coins had been shipped and I needed to call USPS. I said "You ship coins for a living and you can't tell me when I'll receive my shipment?" Apathetic Answer: "A few days to a few weeks" WTF?
And the icing on the cake...The USPS won't deliver monster boxes(too heavy), so you must pick them up at the Post Office! Gainsville coins knows this yet did not disclose or help in any way after they got my money.
ONE AND DONE with this company. All they had to do was be honest and communicate but all they care about is the sale.

I have been waiting over 7 weeks for my product. Two shipping dates have come and gone. Now when I call they won't give me a shipping date simply stating they are behind fulfilling orders. I am in queu.what does that mean? Asked to speak to someone in charge. VM. No call back. Go figure.
When I asked for my money back they want to charge a restocking fee.
WHY?
This makes no sense given they cannot fulfill my order!
This is my first and last time to buy from this company.
I can't speak for others but my experience with Gainesville Coins went exactly as they said it would. After my order I sent a check, they sent me confirmation check received. I waited 10 business days, 2 weeks. I gave them an extra 5 days as their website said their deliveries were a little behind due to supplier inventories being low. I then called them asked about my order and the lady couldn't confirm a delivery date.
I received an email later that day my order was packed waiting for the post office to pick it up. I was able to track the package over the next few days until it was delivered. I can only say this, I'm satisfied! I paid $2 less per ounce using Gainesville coins. I realize a lot of people complained about this company but they always got their product. I assume they don't buy things online lately. I've waited over 3 months for some companies to send me my coins but they always send them as did Gainesville. I'll end with this, read their online policy carefully and then decide if you want to agree to it or not, if you agree then you understand the process. Most satisfied customers don't leave reviews. Hope this helps.
Too long to write but trust me when I say use your credit card if you expect to have ANY RECOURSE should you experience problems of any kind here. I ordered by check for a very large order with problems and received no resolution. Sadly, I gave up. Avoid my experience - and I mean AVOID- and buy elsewhere under any and all circumstances.
Quick and easy online purchases, I have bought from Gainesville coins several times over the years and every time has been great. Customer service is fantastic and they communicate well. All coins are in perfect condition and weight what they are supposed to. Definitely will come back.
For me, a LCS that only buys bullion products a spot price regardless if numismatic. I have chosen not to do business with them again because of that.
I ordered some silver coins from Gainesville coin. There website did not say my items where out of stock. I got an email saying that there would be a delay in shipping. After the day the email said my order was to be shipped. I called gainesville coin and asked where my coins where and was told there was a delay in shippment until mid November. At that point I said cancel my order. Seven days latter I checked and my refund has not been made. I do not advise buying from this company. They are selling items not in stock and using you money.
Do not use this co we all know about silver delays I was loyal to this place I asked a why the shipping fees on large orders a very rude person said u can spend a million here and we have shipping fees but we make it up with serv and low prices so I gave them the order they said 7 day delivery so on the 8th day I called twice 2 diff men rough rough English which is fine but they said sir we found ur order no problem with it except we can fill it for 17 more days I said can I speak to a manager sure they said si these 2 guys plade games with me. I'm at work cant talk long I hung up 1 hour later a miracle ur order is filled and on it's way. The next day the email said we will deliver Thurs that was great but they sent it to Florida in in PA I called them up and told them to keep it obviously u need it more than I do and this was a big order for me so please fi not go through what i went through best $ I ever lost
Ordered 2021 Silver Eagles the day they went on sale on 5/7/2021. A week later Gainesville informed me that they did not receive my wire transfer. I sent them proof from my bank that I made the transfer on the 7th. I got no response so I cancelled the order on 5/25/2021. They acknowledged the cancellation via email and I accepted a credit on account to be used at a later date. On 7/6/2021 I received email the order had been shipped. I responded to the email that the order had been cancelled. That email was rejected and Microsoft tells me the error is on their end. Today (7/7/2021) I tried to contact them via their website, but the contact form failed multiple submissions. I would be happy to simply accept the coins at this point and never deal with this firm again, but since I thought the order was cancelled and they never alerted me before they shipped, the order is going to the wrong address.
Answer: I wouldn't sell my coins to Gainesville I would use an online service like Monex or Kitco
