Good customer service at a price

I had a parcel forwarded to Forward2me to be shipped to Australia. Customer service was great and I received updates regarding my parcel but the cost of shipping was extremely high. It seemed on the website that there were cheaper options however when it came time to ship, these options weren't offered, only much more expensive ones. There was little choice but to accept the expensive shipment choices.

I am sorry that you feel dissatisfied with the shipping rates.

It is difficult to successfully reduce volume for goods such as trainers or shoes due to the excess volume that is being created from the shoes boxes themselves and we also do understand that if the shoes are being shipped for resale then the original shoe box would be required to support the resale price. Repacking or reduction cannot always guarantee sufficient cost savings on the original shipping price quoted with the courier as this is dependant on the types of items that are being repacked or reduced inside a package. To compensate you for any inconveninece we have completed the repack service for your pair of trainers free of charge.

Excellent turn around time

Surprised by the customer service!

A carried lost one of packages (no fault of forward2me) but a rep from forward2me (Kat S.) coordinated with the carrier regarding the missing package and made sure the carrier refunded me for the lost package and the shipping costs. Did not expect that from a forwarding service!

We are sorry that you felt dissatisfied with our service.

Due to your package containing prescription medication we have to adhere to the country specific import restrictions and regulations that are provided to us by the couriers as per local customs authorities.
Unfortunately this can sometimes mean that for certain countries we, as a forwarding agency, are not authorized to ship prescription or non prescription medication of any kind internationally with the couriers.

As a forwarding company we understand that it is difficult to access certain medications for some of customers internationally or it is just not internet accessible like in UK. If you refer to our prohibited items page on our website you will also see that medication (17. 3. 16 Drugs-including all over-the-counter, prescription and legal drugs as well as illegal drugs / narcotics) are stated as an item that can be prohibited for us to ship. I cannot see that you had contacted us about your intension to purchase medication prior to you purchasing the order from the online pharmacy. If you had inquired with us prior to purchase we would have been able to inform you about the relevant country specific import restrictions for your medication prior to receipt.

I feel that you were provided with a high level of service from the customer experience team and we tried our best to assist you with the shipping issues relating to your medication.

I can see that there was a slight delay with the document and repack request coming back from our warehouse and we are advising all customers to be aware that due to the ongoing industrial action with Royal Mail, this is causing large spikes in our workloads, and resulting in us struggling to hit targets on multiple occasions.

We want to thank you for using our service and your patience while we work through these issues.

We would also appreciate it if you could reconsider your rating.

We are sorry to see you have only provided us with a 1* rating.
I can see that your invoice for this Japan shipment was only settled at 18:00 in the evening on Friday 7th October, this would have been after the scheduled collection slot with DHL from the Japanese warehouse and this means the shipment would have missed the collection to go out on the same day as payment was received. Shipment collections with DHL from Japan take place Monday to Friday between 4 pm- 5 pm local time and there are no collections during the weekends. This will explain the delay with the dispatch of your shipment and the reason why it was not collected until the following Monday.
Please note that the transit times stated by the couriers will be calculated from the date of dispatch not from the date of payment.

Please also be aware that any tracking details of your package from the courier service to our warehouse will not necessarily mean that the package should be in your account as soon as it is stated as delivered by the courier.
We receive hundreds of packages to our warehouse every day and there is no priority order that we process packages to accounts. Please allow between 24-48 hours for the package to appear in your account inbox. The delivery tracking from the courier, to our warehouse addresses, is not linked to the time when your package is processed to your account.
Our warehouse staff try very hard to have all packages processed and allocated to customers accounts as quickly as possible.
We appreciate your patience during this time.

Improvement badly needed

Response time of customer service great, but very often you have to ask for the same thing twice, or more, before it's correctly done. Their shipping service is very limited in options and procedures. Seven items of the same kind will result in six different customs tariff numbers being assigned (with only one being correct, at best), often causing troubles down the line.
Packages will get opened in their warehouse for inspection, often causing final damage to the packinging, which will require repacking - and there is a fee to that. Repacking can only be done in the context of their "Combine & Repack" option, which will inadvertantly result in a finalized shipping order. There is now way to add more packages to that shipment, so you would have to set up a seperate shipment for packages that do not require repacking. Alternatively, you can only combine & repack all of your packages into one shipment, but then there will be a fee for each individual package. That's quite futile, as it would be easiest to do a multi-piece shipment, just having repacked those packages needing that. Lost 5 days trying to make them do that, and did not succeed... :(
