Lack of clarity arounf repacking and why it happens and then you pay get delayed and it still comes in heavy boxes over 20kg
Issue #1: The package shipping weight from the original company I purchased from was 2 kg. Forward2me charged me for a weight of 8.5 kg. How does that happen, you might ask yourself? Well, that way they can charge more money. (I didn't even bother to mention this to them.)
Issue #2: I emailed forward2me to ask them to remeasure the box, because I saw an image of it from the original delivery to them, and it was visibly smaller than the measurements they were charging me for. So... they magically made the box grow in size as well and added $36USD as retribution for me questioning them.
Issue #3: After witnessing their dishonesty twice, I wanted to return the order and cancel my dealings with them. Only problem is they charge the same amount of money to mail it within their own country or to send it on to you. Incredibly dishonest. So once you mail them anything, you are forced to pay whatever they feel like charging you, to get your item. It's extortion.
Conclusion: they WILL send your item if you pay literally 100s of dollars. That way they can't get sued. But it doesn't matter what you want. It's not worth it to go through them. Every time you look at your item, you'll be reminded of having your property held hostage overseas and being at the mercy of money-grubbing liars to get it.

There are only 2 factors that determine the cost for shipping a package which are size and weight. The cost of shipping will always be based on the greater.
The Tax Free warehouse in Guernsey is part of the Channel Islands. The shipping prices can be more expensive in comparison to shipping from the mainland UK warehouse and there is only DHL Express service currently available to customers who are using the Tax Free warehouse in Guernsey. I had a very bad experience. Lured by what looked like low charges. Should have stayed with well known competitor. Will have to use legal means again Forward2me.

I was surprised at how easy it is to use this service. Also, customer service is very responsive.
All super smooth, quick service, reasonable price.
Have used forward2me's services three times now and have found them to be super quick with turnaround and responsible with packing my items. Highly recommend them for shipping.
They suggested the repacking which cost £67.However, they have not matched their words.They have done nothing mentioned in the message.My package came in diffrent boxes without repacking.The box did not have fillers to portect the battrey.The box looked like any normal boxes from the forwarder. The only differnce was two stikers added which had "battrey and dangerous".I will never recommened their service. This is a cheat.
Never ever dealing with them or trust them on my goods.

Status updates were efficient and everything arrived timely and undamaged.
However, fees were much higher than estimated due to insurance and would be good to show this in the cost estimator with clear explanation of what the carriers included coverage actually is to help decide. Insurance is also more expensive than it would be buying direct from the carrier.

Please note, the Protect + guarantee fee is not carrier included coverage, it is a completely separate cover option which is offered to customers directly through forward2me. Qualifying goods up to the value of GBP 5,000 can be protected with the guarantee. Protect+ Guarantee is an advised extra to have against your shipment but it is not mandatory. Our policy for the cover is based on the declared purchase value of the goods from the time of shipping therefore it would be very difficult for us to reflect the associated additional costs for the Protect + cover from the pricing calculator on our website. I had encountered a problem with my orders before shipping and was able to get assistance immediately so it could be resolved quickly. I am extremely pleased with their service.
I have used Forward2Me since 2014. I have shipped 83 parcels from the UK to Australia. Forward2Me is a very good service. Reasonable prices, reliable and customer-oriented. Big tick.
I have been using F2M for a while now and recently shipped a package from Guernsey to South Africa. Our office were closed for the festive period and our warehouse managed specially came to the office, received the package from DHL and put it into storage because we were closed. When we reopened in January, we started the process to check and receive the goods. On opening of the package, the goods were broken. The fragile glass items were not even packaged properly with soft fragile goods protecting material but merely put in a box. When i contacted F2M, the blankly refused to honor the insurance i paid for saying that i should put a claim in 24 hours after receiving. I explained that we were closed for the festive period but again, refused to submit the claim. They are unethical in every sense of the word, taking money for insurance at a hefty premium and not honoring when called upon.

Any service that you use will state a time frame for submitting a claim. Our terms and conditions for claims states that you must advise us within 24 hours of receiving the shipment. This is shown on our terms of trade https://www.forward2me.com/terms-of-trade/ and also from section 12.2 and on our protect+ page https://www.forward2me.com/protection-guarantee/. The shipment was delivered to you on the 19th December which means we would have required notification of the damage on or before the 20th December 2022. You state this was not possible because the delivery address for the shipment had been closed during the national holidays in December 2022 but someone had been available at the address to accept delivery of the goods on the 19th December. Therefore, the goods had been accepted and were in your care since delivery from the 19th December.

It's getting more and more expensive using this service. I Paid £60+ for shipping for 3 light clothing(running pants and running shirt) not only that it was sent in a plastic bag which should only cost me less than £60+

There are only 2 factors that determine the cost for shipping, which are weight and size. I can see that you did have cheaper carrier options for your 2 packages with FedEx Economy and FedEx Priority but you chose to ship with DHL Express.
The greater chargeable weight for your 2 clothing packages would have been based on the sizes of the packages- not the actual weight of the goods. If you had requested repack for the 2 clothing packages, there may have been some excess space to save you by folding the majority of clothing items smaller and repacking these together into a single plastic flyer bag or box. Please note, it is not always guaranteed that a combine and repack service will help reduce the prices for shipping as this will be dependable on the types of goods that are being repacked and we also need to consider if reducing excess space would effect the overall safety of the goods in transit.

The process went exactly as described on the website. I had my package three days after it arrived at Forward2me, awesome.
Recently, I bought a watch and selected forward2me to send it to the USA. After DHL made the mistake of sending the watch back to Forward2me in the UK. I had the worst experience of my life with Forward2me. They refused to honor the Protect + Guarantee insurance and damaged my watch box and watch. And when I asked for pictures of the damaged box, they send me pictures of a similar box with no damage done to it. If I'm you I'll stay away from these people. They cheat, lie and cover things up to avoid liability. They'll go the extra mile for not honoring their Insurance.

We are sorry that you feel this way and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts here. However, we would like to take the opportunity to clarify a few things.
Your watch was returned to us by USA customs by DHL due to customs refusing clearance for the watch and insisting that a CITIES certificate would be required. The access damage to your watch box was identified by our processing team when the watch arrived back to our UK address from USA customs. The access damage on the watch box matched up to the cut marks from the original package tape under the customs tape. This indicated that the access damage to the watch box was caused at the point of customs carrying out the physical inspection of the watch. It clearly states from our protect+ page https://www.forward2me.com/protection-guarantee/ that our Protect + has certain key exclusions that apply and one of the exclusions stated is indirect loss or damage. Any damages caused by customs are classified as indirect damage. While we are happy to offer refunds and/or compensations to eligible customers, we had reviewed your damage claim and we found that it did not qualify for a claim under Protect+ guarantee as the access scratch or cut to the watch box was not due to our operations or due to courier handling. However we did still offer to reimburse your Protect+ fee as a one time service gesture.

The employees take care of problems or queries, provide timely information about the delivery, are in contact with the transport companies and make sure that the problem has been solved. There is no better service.
- I had 15 items in the package
- The declaration of the goods do not allow to refernce to the item. So I was not able to give information to the custom, e.g. the bill corresponding to the item
- all letters were opened by forward2mee. HGow can you dare to open my letters
- the opened letters were closed by a wide adhesive tape, wich destroyed the stamps on the letters
- one item was declared as coins, but all items conatined stamps, so another discussion with the custom
- The Sending was nbot one package, but 15 big letters. So pollution and a lot of waste
- Very expensive
In summary: I will stop using forward2me.

We would like to clarify that your packages were shipped individually because you had not requested our Combine and Repack service. While we advise that our customers opt for it when shipping multiple packages as it is more cost-effective and environmentally responsible, we do not combine packages unless the customer has chosen the service.
Editing permissions for descriptions and commodity codes are granted by our Customer Experience team upon request. Our representatives are always available to process such inquiries in a timely manner.
As per Section 9.2 of our Terms of Trade, we are required to open packages to ensure that they do not contain prohibited items. Envelopes may be opened to ensure they do not contain documents or other items that cannot be shipped using an address provided by forward2me as described in Section 7 of our Terms of Trade.
Our pricing tool clearly indicates that our rates start at a minimum weight of 1 lb (0.455 kg) for a package. If you have been able to find a lower price for your shipment with another forwarder, you can submit a refund request by sending an email to [email protected] or via the live chat and contact form on our website.

Everything went smooth even though I had a mistake with the shipping address. Only thing was when they repacked my item, they didn't include the original box when they shipped my item. It was my first time using their service and didn't know about that repacking process. Would definitely use this service again in the future.

There are packages that we receive and mark as 'Repacking Required' either because we have identified the current packaging for the goods as poor and insufficient and feel the contents would be at risk of being damaged and to make sure the contents is more safely packed for international shipping or because we feel there would be a sufficient amount of excess space to save you by repacking. Upon further inspection of your most recent package I do feel our processing team made the correct decision with marking it for an advised repack as this was very beneficial to ensure the safety of your goods during transit. The repack advisory on a package is not mandatory, you do not have to proceed with the repack for your packages and you can accept the risk of shipping packages as received.
If you wish to dismiss a repacking advisory for a package, please contact our Customer Experience team for assistance.
