Using formard2me for a long time

I've been using formard2me for a long time. I'm usually combining multiple packages to save from shipping and the final package is compact and very well packed. Shipping prices are still great.
Also, it's worth mentioning that I'm very satisfied with the customer service.

I was interested in purchasing a special bottle of whisky to be shipped to the US. I researched all their website policies and FAQ beforehand, to ensure the service was offered and available. I even ensured that my state of residence allowed alcoholic shipments.

I placed the order for the alcohol and it arrived at Forward2Me swiftly. When I attempted to pay for the forwarding services, I was told that because the shipment contained alcohol, I needed to contact Forward2me directly to arrange shipping. I reached out and was then told about all of the requirements to ship alcohol to the US and that Forward2me has NEVER been successful with personal shipments of alcohol. They recommended that I contact a private broker to arrange shipment; private brokers charge £200-£300! It's just one bottle of alcohol.

At this point, I feel straight bamboozled. I'll never use Forward2me's services again and absolutely do not recommend.

We do offer various courier services for shipping alcohol internationally however there are some countries who restrict imports of alcohol. We cannot offer shipping services for alcohol to all international countries and we strongly recommended that you contact our Customer Experience team first to determine if we would be able to offer shipping for alcohol to your country prior to purchasing.

It is clear that you had not correctly followed the guidelines from the FAQ page on our website and you did not choose to contact our Customer Experience team prior to purchasing your alcohol order to our UK address.

Just so you are aware, forward2me do offer free return to sender. Simply request the Return to Sender service from your account and we will handle the return shipping for you completely for free.
I can see you have been put in contact with Chris, our senior customer experience advisor, who will assist you further and discuss the available options for your alcohol package from our UK warehouse.

Expected lower price

FedEx Connect is classified as a budget economy service. The transit times for FedEx Connect can be much longer in comparison to FedEx Economy or Priority service. The tracking updates for shipments with FedEx Connect can also be delayed as they do not fully update until the shipment reaches the destination country and are scanned by the local third party courier. All shipments that are sent through the FedEx Connect service are cleared through the local postal services within the destination country and this is a non signatory required courier services. Usually FedEx Connect service can take up to 14 days for delivery to be completed. Your package has since been confirmed as delivered on 7th Feb 23@13:28 local time. We feel you have had a very successful first delivery experience through the FedEx Connect service.

Quick, Very Easy, and Affordable

They are very communicative and great at forwarding. However, the price originally quoted ended up doubling because of box size. Everything leads you to believe it's based on weight when you get the original quote.

There are only 2 factors that determine the price for shipping, which are weight and size. Please note, it is not always guaranteed that a combine and repack service will reduce the prices for shipping. This is dependable on the types of goods that are being repacked, if there is a a sufficient amount of volume to be saved by repacking or consolidating and we also need to consider if reducing or removing excess space or volume would effect the overall safety of the goods in transit.
