Trusted and helpful service

Hard to find a trusted service provider these days. Especially when your goods include lithium batteries. They are the one, very helpful, upfront, reliable, responded my queries in timely manner, and I got my item imported from UK, delivered to my place without any issue.

Misleading one package information

I requested to combine packages and the site offered up a max postage price range for when that parcel would be ready to send. Instead when it was ready to send the actual postage quote was well above that range. I paid as I didn't want any issues but probably won't use this provider again.

We understand your frustration regarding the final postage cost being higher than the initial range provided.

Based on your request, we believe you selected the "combine and repack" option with FedEx as your courier. Please note that FedEx is the default courier when this option is chosen. The initial postage estimate is a general range, and the final cost may vary based on factors such as package size, weight, and destination after being optimised.

Regarding shipments to Australia, please be aware that the Australian Government introduced a Goods and Services Tax (GST) on imports on 1st July 2018. As a result, we are required to charge 10% GST on all goods valued at $1000 AUD or less, as well as on the shipping service itself. For shipments over the value of $1000 AUD, GST will be charged upon import.

If you are a registered Australian Business Account holder approved for GST, you can register your account number in your Forward2me profile. GST will not be charged on shipping via your account, and the transaction will be declared as part of your usual return to the Australian Tax Office.

Even small items like these can impact shipping costs, especially if they require special handling or packaging. The dimensions and weight of the package are key factors that couriers use to determine rates.

Shipping costs are generally calculated based on the amount of space your shipment occupies, rather than its actual weight. This is known as the volumetric weight. All major couriers (e.g., DHL, TNT) use this measurement to calculate shipping prices. However, if the actual weight of the package is higher than its volumetric weight, the shipping price will be calculated based on the actual weight instead.

In your case, the volumetric weight of your shipment was higher than its actual weight, so the shipping fees were calculated using the volumetric weight, which led to the increased cost.

Job done but..

First time forwarding service user. The forwarding itself went smooth. The only downside is that the price turned out to be higher than the price of the item being sent. It's probably justified, but initial estimate page showed me couple of options twice as cheaper, which were unavailable during the order finalization.

I would like to clarify how shipping costs are calculated.Shipping fees are generally based on the amount of space that your shipment occupies, which is determined by its volumetric weight. This is the formula most couriers, such as DHL and TNT, use to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight of the shipment exceeds the volumetric weight, the shipping cost will be based on the actual weight instead.

In your case, the volumetric weight is higher than the actual weight, so the shipping fees have been calculated using the higher volumetric weight.

Some packages are marked for repacking due to the fragile nature of the contents, such as ceramic wall lights. Ceramic materials are highly sensitive and can easily break or crack under pressure or impact, especially during transit.

Great service

Forward2me has been a great discovery. I've spent more than a year trying to buy this UK product (a particular brand of hand sanitizing gel, impossible to find in other countries) and nobody would send it to me in Italy.
Customer service has been so helpful and answered all my questions. The shipping was so quick and the packaging was perfect. I will definitely use this service in the future.

An error in the size of a package was preventing it from being sent. Had to contact customer services late Friday night. Email was answered almost immediately by Julie who had the problem solved and the package on it's way again within a few hours. Excellent service. Thank you Julie.

Amazing customer support

Amazing website, excellent service and rates. But honestly the most amazing them is the personalized customer support. I had a problem with one of my shipments (all my fault, I left the country that I was supposed to recieve the shipment earlier than planned) and I had JOYCE from the customer support helping me across the whole journey. Numerous emails and dedicated support to make sure I recieve my shipment, not the normal robot that doesn't do you any good but a dedicated, empathatic and helpful JOYCE that hears the customer needs and make sure that your valuables are not lost and your voice is heard throughout the process. Forced to repack

It was only one small box what I needed to forward and they give me no other choice but repacking, so I had to wait and paid for it. I opened a ticket but they took to long to respond and recognize it. No refund or apologized.
