Customer support was excellent, and though they could not resolve the issues, they were responsive.
A 17-inch-tall tree is nowhere near 3-4 feet tall. A 2-gallon pot is nowhere near a 5-gallon pot.
After three attempts to get a tree that fit its description, I gave up and received a full refund.
I purchased 12 Karl Foerster plants which all but 2 died from our brutal summer extremes in weather. The company will not replace or refund my money even though I purchased the one year warranty. All they wanted to offer me was a 30% discount on another purchase. Not happening!
Large bushes came well packaged and protected. They have since recovered well since being planted in mid June.
Easy & quick to order. Will definitely order again! Quality products
Trees came to my house with broken limbs and poorly packed, customer service created an e-mail chase for weeks saying they didn't receive pictures of damage, one tree has died the other is struggling. I don't believe this e-mail will go public.
I ordered several plants. They're all doing beautifully except for one. When I emailed customer service with pictures they responded very quickly and gave me a few tips to try and see if it could be salvaged. When those didn't work and I sent an additional photo they promptly sent a replacement…
1 0f 2 (Adanson's Monststera) products arrived on time, but looked really rough. We as usual followed the instructions. The plant never recovered. Today it looks like it will be dead, but we are trying to revive it. The second item ( Easy Pie Cherry bush) never did show up. Of the five items we have purchased over the last few years, only the Fig tree that was sent by mistake is doing very well (Chicago Fig). Others all died within 4-6 months under very good conditions (As we grow many things in the ground and hydroponically, for many years. Meyer Lemon, Nagram Kumquat, another Chicago fig). Our Limequat, is still fighting for it's life. I guess this will be our last experience with you. Sorry, but we tried.
I have had tree for some time now. Planted as instructed and watered as well. I have seen no growth since the day it arrived. Would like a full refund. The name says fast growing and I have no growing.
I ordered several plants at the beginning of summer and one of my citronella plants never arrived (I ordered two). I sent multiple emails and was repeatedly told that I needed to wait until "all shipments in the order were delivered". After I received every plant other than the missing citronella, I sent another email and was told the same. So I waited about 3 weeks and tried again (because nothing else came). They said that they needed photos of the plants, as well as photos of the inside and outside of the box that they arrived in. Considering it was about a month since they originally arrived, I already had the plants planted around my yard and the boxes had been thrown away. So I just ultimately had to forfeit that plant. Unfortunately the only citronella I did received arrived in bad shape and had already died.
We ordered 6 trees, 4 were shipped in their own boxes, no damage. 2 were shipped together and they both were broken when arrived. The box was not sturdy enough to carry the weight of the trees. The crazy steps that you have to go through to report the damage is well crazy. You have to fill out a specific form, which the information for damage is not easily found on the website, you are only allowed 3 pictures and they are very specific requests. When you have 2 trees that are damaged, you can't add the pictures for both of the trees and the box.
The olive tree I ordered came perfectly packaged and in great shape. In only a few months it has acclimated to my house and is already growing!
These plants are small and way overpriced. 2-3 times what you'll pay (for better plants) at a local nursery. 3-4 times what you'll pay vs. a Lowe's/Home Depot
Fed ex destroyed my plants. I must have talked to 5 or 6 customer service people none of which I could clearly understand. I was lied to, they tole me whatever they needed to to get me off of the phone. It wasn't until it was escalated did anyone do anything about the problem I had. I wouldn't treat my worst customers like how I was treated. I'll never use your company again.
I ordered Magnolias, hydrangeas, a weeping willow, and Thuja Green Giants. The hydrangeas were dead on arrival. The magnolias are less than a half inch in diameter and not healthy looking. The weeping willow is tall but also maybe 3/4 of an inch in diameter. The Thuja Green Giants were fine. They were the only ones that met my expectations. Delivery also took 2-3 months.
The trees arrived quickly. Planted them in a decent area with decent soil and the right amount of sun / shade. Watered every day. In the end they died.
Trees arrived dead. Could not plant them due to HOA regulations. Reached out to customer support; Fast growing Trees takes no responsibility in the condition of the Trees. $200 lesson learned and I will never purchase from FGT again.
Almost dead order, leaves falling off, terrible packaging
We purchased two avocado trees and they looked great right out of the box. Clearly there was a lot of time spent packaging the trees that looked great and were very well protected in the box. We've had them for 2 months and they are thriving.
I turned to fast growing trees because I wanted items not locally being sold. Rosemary plants seem to have disappeared from local places. Also the fig I bought was very healthy. I did buy a camellia sinensis previously that almost died but it was purchased later in the growing season and wasn't quite cold hardy and should have wrapped it in some burlap to keep the cold wind from damaging it. It's recovered this season however and doing better.
It's probably very hard to ship plants. The two out of the three I bought did not make it. Customer service has encouraged that I wait a little bit longer to see if it will be OK. It definitely is not going to make it.
Answer: Cancel your order now before it's too late, go to a local nursery and save yourself some money and unwarranted aggravation, these folks are not honorable.
Answer: I ordered 3 autumn blaze maples. They have been in the ground for 2 years now and have yet to turn red in the fall. I did some research and found that they only turn red if the temperature conditions are right. I live in Idaho and we basically skipped fall this year and went straight into winter. So once again the leaves just turned brown. I am hoping to finally get a display next year.
Answer: The same thing is happening to me. My tree died and they keep saying they're going to make good and nothing happens. Real crooks, this company.
