Attempted twice to purchase tickets, was charged twice and twice received a message... SORRY we are unable to process your order. Please try a different showtime. BUT you had no problem charging my account! Then when I call Fandango they refund my money BUT NOT THE SERVICE FEE. Why not. OH we will have to forward this to corporate office YES please do. I will never use this app again! Very annoying and not worth it!
I tried to purchase tickets using fandango as I always do as I loved that the convenience fee is waived if using their service. Apparently they told us they came out with a new rule which is nowhere to be found that you have to purchase 4 tickets to have this fee waived. Be better fandango. We will never use you again. Not to mention train your customer service reps. They to didn't know of this rule till today.

I am 63 years old and have had lots of experiences with customer service departments. I would have bet anyone everything I own that I would not have found a worse customer service department than AT&T. Until today. I gave these morons every opportunity to fix the problem and they repeatedly failed. I also know why. Every step up the corporate ladder, from customer service rep to Manager, to corporate, they got worse and worse and worse. Truly the adage here applies, stinks from the head down. I will NEVER use their service again and every time I go to a movie I will try to convince a customer to spread the bad news. If anyone tries to give me a fandango product again, I will throw it back in their face. After that I'm sure they will never use them again either! I've gotta go now, I have to cancel my fandango account!
Fandango could not complete the transaction so we went and bought tickets at theatre. Fandango would not refund since the movie already played. Big Ripoff!
I was trying to buy tickets and it kept saying error. Then the movie started so i had to go to whole different theater and buy tickets there and then hours later they decided to process my order and charge me. It's ridiculous then when i try to get a refund they tell me there's nothing they can do for their own mistake.
Purchased 6 tickets for Midway for Saturday showing (grandchildren and adults) tried to get an exchange (everyone couldn't make-had to switch to Sunday; waited for 45 min for agent to assist in change... NEVER happened. Tried live chatting--same thing: 45 min. Wait... nothing. Went to theater on Sunday with printed tickets-would not honor because they were AMC and would not recognize Fandango... out $80... Don't use these guys! If you do- Be CAREFUL... terrible service. Next time, believe I'll go with AMC!
Had a promo code for 4 tickets that i could only use once and if i purchased less than the 4 tickets i automatically lost any remaining ones. Chat rep i spoke couldn't have cared less and was just trying to get rid of me. Nice rip-off scheme.
Their customer service is a joke. My tickets were not available at the time of the movie. I asked for a refund, and they told me it was after the showtime. I couldn't necessarily call them at the time of the movie, since I purchased additional tickets at the theatre when they didn't have the ones from Fandango on record. I wasn't going to miss the movie I'd shown up for.
As previous customers before have stated, they WILL NOT refund you, even when it's their service that has not met the obligations of the service they're supposed to provide. This company has stolen $40 from me, and I would never recommend anyone uses them for purchase of movie tickets ever.
I bought tickets for a saturday show and their system scheduled it for Friday. I went and couldn't get in. I asked Fandango for a refund and they stated its was after the show date and couldn't refund. Screw them!
Since Fandango is the only game in town when it comes to online movie ticket purchases, their customer service agents offer very low quality service. Their payment processing part of the app doesn't work: just keeps saying "Webpage not available." Their customer service agents sometimes would try to give you the run around by telling you to buy tickets via their app & not their website. After you've downloaded their app & sign up with them. Their payment process would tell you "Webpage not available." That was after waiting half an hour for an agent to tell you to download their app. It only took them less than 1 minute to dispense that "advise." After following their "advise," the same problem still exists even as I'm typing out my complaint. So, I got on their chat & waited 30 minutes for an agent. The agent couldn't wait at least 2 minutes for me to type out my problem on my tiny cellphone keyboard with just 1 finger & decided to terminate the chat when I was about 2 text characters away from finishing my texting. I AM PISSED NOW.
Tried to purchase movie tickets (2) and their site was having problems, wouldn't process our request. We got billed for the tickets anyway and never received, found out from our bank statement. Tried to resolve with Fandango and they said we picked them up which is incorrect. Tried to respond and there is no way via email. You can reply but you get an error message, you have to reply "above and below these lines" which is impossible. Bogus if you ask me, probably purposely set up this way. It's only $20 but it's the principle. Never use again!
I live in California and last night, for the first time, I decided to purchase 3 movie tickets through Fandango-- Big mistake! Although I put in the correct zip code for my California movie location, when the transaction was complete and received the tickets I relaized I haf purchased tickets for a movie theatre at 18 W. Houston St., New York, I spent an hour last night trying to get this reversed-- can only be done by openning a VIP account. Spoke to two people this AM, last one a supervisor. Complained that opening an account should be optional, not mandatory. I did anyway just to get my money back. Well, guess what? Fandango uissued a credit (for use next time), although I had clearly stated I would never use this system, instead of a refund. They try to get you anhyway they can. Beware! I've spent several hours trying to straighten this out plus much aggravation and this is not even over yet. Sad commentary on a society that is totally dominated by "techies " and their nefarious plots to cheat and make us dependent on them for the purpose of generating profits at all cost. Can't understand how so many love this system!
Shady website jumps your theater to somewhere else! I'm not sure how they did it but I have proof on my browsing history. I hope they get sued and go out of business because of it!
I accidentally bought tickets for a theatre in Pennsylvania while I live in Minnesota and I requested a refund but they would not give me one. I explained the situation and they still refused my refund because they are an hour ahead so the show had already started but here on my end, it was an hour behind and would not have started. I had no idea they were an hour ahead and despite explaining this, they still did not help me out with the issue.
Went on app ordered tickets wrong day came in I had to chat with them they will not talk told them they refused to give me a different showtime.

MIND YOU, WE HAD PURCHASED 6 TICKETS AT FULL PRICE ALMOST 13 DOLLARS EACH AND THEY COULDN'T ACCOMMODATE OR EVEN TRIED TO HELP US! WASTE OF MONEY AND BAD EXPERIENCE. NO MORE FANDANGO FOR US AND DELETE THE APP! PLEASE PURCHASE DIRECTLY AT THE THEATER OR ON THE REGAL APP WAY EASIER AND ACCOMMODATE YOUR REQUEST. FANGANDO WILL ROB YOU BLIND!
I purchased tickets days in advance for me and my children through Fandango. A little while later I purchaed another adult ticket since my husband was going to be off work that day and decided to attend with us. As an AMC Stubs member convenience fees are supposed to be waived. Since I had purchased through Fandango's app before with my AMC Stubs card the membership information should have been stored in my account. I did not check to see if my AMC membership info automatically came up prior to checking out, but noticed that it hadn't on the first set of tickets, but did on the second purchase when I checked my email. I contacted customer service immediately, well in advance of the scheduled movie, and waited for a response from them. When I finally got someone to respond they told me they couldn't refund the convenience fee because according to them I had not entered my AMC Stubs membership number at the time of purchase. I explained that I had done so when I first obtained my AMC Stubs membership and that the number should be stored because it automatically came up on the second purchase that same day. The customer service agent said that it was not stored, that I would have to enter it every time I make a purchase, and that they would not issue a refund even if I refunded the tickets as well. Needless to say, I got hip to Fandango's scam immediately. I no longer and will never use them. Fool me once... ATOM has much better clarity on their checkout page as well as MUCH MUCH better customer service.
Do not give them any of your business they are a horrible company that will just take your money and does not care about helping you through any of their customer service numbers, etc.
I purchased tickets for myself and 2 grandkids. I didn't realize I hit the wrong day. When I checked my email the following day, we had missed the movie we intended to see. I contacted on-line customer service which took over 30 min for someone to send me a message they were finally there, then refused to let us see the movie or give me my money back. Things like this should be illegal. They got my money and we received nothing. It was an honest mistake and I could not afford to purchase more tickets. I'm a senior in a tight fixed income, which I explained to them, but they simply didn't care. I will NEVER use Fandango again and I hope they are forced out of business.
It's a great app / way to purchase tickets unless you have an issue. They offer rewards but don't honor them. The chat service takes forever to answer even if first in que but once you make a purchase they can't modify it. Beware!
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
