It was a great company. Good cheap reliable vehicles. Now that they changed their pricing and made the down payments fixed it's not worth it. Couple grand down for a used car plus the monthly jumped also. They'll claim it's cheaper than before and it's helping us. But they're just lying to promote the company.
I sent a deposit of $195 dollars. The app told me it would take 5-7 days just to talk to a dealership. After a month i decided it was taking too long and talked to customer service asking why it is taking longer than usual for my appointment. They told me the dealership doesn't have any cars so I cancelled my reservation and after another 2 weeks of waiting. It has been another month and my money hasn't come back plus customer service is really no help at all.
UPDATE 11/24/2019 AFTER A VERY TUMULTUOUS TIME OF POOR COMMUNICATION DEALING WITH FAIR'S THIRD PARTY VENDOR FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT(I ENTERED INTO A CONTRACT WITH FAIR and the experience getting into the car was cumbersome I forgave that due to the concept and the company being fairly new. Since having the car I've had several issues with the third Party payment company improperly charging my checking account/card. The automatic payment option is an absolute nightmare they have been up to 6 business days late with actually processing the payment. Then they send these very nasty text messages demanding some huge payment or returning the car. When I can actually stomach the hours of waiting on the phone promises of a returned call(never happens) and out right rude customer service people it ends up with them realizing their issue and still not even an apology or a remedy to the improper fees assessed. Fair as a company tries to make up for it by sending a gift card to cover the fee
Thank you to David from Lawndale. Every time I come to get car he helps me all the time even though English is not my first langauge.
This is horrific UI. Endless searching without easy options to actually see pricing and booking information. Guess I'll have to go to a traditional car rental.
I was experiencing a rather unique situation with my Fair vehicle. None of the agents at the the Fair location (site) was of any help and it looked as if I would have to turn the vehicle back in with no hopes of entering into a different vehicle. I called the Fair concierge and was connected with a superb agent
Horrible app. They collect personal vital information from you and then offer NO cars at all in Connecticut and then refuse to delete the information after you contact them. Very scetchy app and poor customer service
The process to getting a vehicle is so much quicker and smoother than Hertz... David from the Lawndale location was very helpful and explained how the payment process works... and I definitely prefer this method compared to Hertz... will update
I'll start by saying that I prefer the Fair/Uber plan to Lyft's Express Drive. When I first learned about the plan last June excellent service at Fair. The guys at the Lawndale station are like ninjas (shoutout to Dave and Ron!) and get you in your car and on the road in minutes. And that's how it was for a while. Until of course it wasn't. The weekly rate started creeping up the number of rides required per week went up even the deposit went up. As of today they want a $200 deposit plus $241 for the week and you have to do 125 rides (up from 90!) to offset just $195 of the cost of the car. That's almost $450 upfront just to get on the road and start earning. With the other guys you're in a car and on the road with just the deposit. Like I said I prefer Fair
I usually don't review apps they told me that all of their cars get serviced before handing them out and the vehicle I had just received was just above ******* miles so it should have just had a big check. However the first red flag showed up about 5 minutes after driving the car when the tire pressure light came up on my dashboard. When I arrived home I checked the tire pressure
Payment glitches every week. Maintenance provider changed
I see some vehicles on the app but the prices are not up when will this be fixed so that I may purchase a vehicle.
Aaron from Irvine thanks so much you are a very good person and appreciate your time. Great experience with Fair
This is my first time doin the rental/lease option and I was skeptical at first. When I arrived I asked a gentleman that worked there by the Name of David from the Lawndale location very professional
With down payment they ask you can buy a normal car with 8000$ Unfair
The new update is really bad and confusing please fix it bring back the old fun and easy version.
If you feel like you must ignore this review and use Fair
Ms Tammie Lowe was the greatest. After speaking with her in the phone I will always do business with her. Great customer service!
If I could give a negative review I would. I have been asking for two months for a billing summary which they are refusing to provide/also saying they dont even have it and its something they have never had a request for as per a severely incompetent supervisor which took me over 2 months to get on the phone. I would be out of this vehicle over 2 months ago but because they don't provide proper documentation they have forced me to be in this vehicle for 4 months now. Now
I've been using Fair for almost 6 months now to drive for Uber. I was having a great experience but I already paid for the week to drive the vehicle. I would highly not recommend this program to anyone. Extremely bad customer service and don't spend your money on this program if you want to drive with Uber. They will just waste your time and keep telling you to wait as long as you are paying them that's all they care about."
Fair is a new way to get a used car that lets you lease a pre-owned vehicle completely digitally – and for as long as you want. Use your phone or the web to shop cars with monthly payments that fit your budget, get approved in-app, sign for the one you want with your finger, then drive it month-to-month for ultimate flexibility, or on a 2-year or 3-year lease if you want the best value.
