It is actually easier to "try on" frames virtually using a photograph (and keeping track of the ones you like!) than it is in a traditional store.
Everything went well in the online order UNTIL the checkout! Had MAJOR problems getting the payment information to work correctly. First, I used the Amazon checkout which originally allowed me to use the Amazon credit card [versus major cc] - then the 4th item for checkout would not work and I went back to re-enter the Amazon info and it would NOT allow me to use the Amazon credit forcing me to re-enter everything for ALL four items. After four tries, I finally elected to use my PayPal account and finally it worked.
For the record, I contacted Amazon who said there is no issue with my account and that it should have been processed. I suggest that EyeBuyDirect review its payment screen and clean up its processing! Think I'm being generous giving it a 4-star rating BUT all else went well with the exception of the payment processing.
I've bought a lot of glasses online (no time to go to an actual store). EyeBuyDirect has by far the easiest website to use. I was able to 'try on' any glasses I wanted and submit my prescription. I loved the downloadable PD measurement and video.
I've been buying my glasses from EBD for years. I love that you can make any style into reading, distance, or sunglasses. And they ALWAYS have a promotion going on to save money!
This is the best way to buy my daughter attractive and affordable glasses. She can have several pair to go with her wardrobe.

I have these is the red purple color and am now ordering in rose gold, which is my favorite. The site is easy to use and the best of those I've tried.

I hate spending hundreds on glasses. My lenses normally cost a hundred each (400 hundred more if I want no line) and they never have the styles I like. Not having to book an appointment is also a huge plus.
There are plenty of stylish glasses to choose from that fit my budget. I've ordered the same frames in different colors two years running, and they stand up to a lot of use, considering the amount of reading I do (as a student) and typing I do (as a writer). The glare protector we paid extra to have put on them helped me work long hours without discomfort. A screw in one arm did strip out last winter, but with an eyeglass repair kit and some know-how, the glasses held up longer than I expected they would considering the price. I would still have my first set, which I was thoroughly satisfied with, if I hadn't left them in a place where I won't return to get them back. That said, I'm excited to get my replacements. It says a lot that I ordered here twice, particularly when my mother was rooting for me to purchase from another website with bigger prices, less selection, and (if you ask me) the same or less quality.
This is my first order, not an easy thing to do especially since you have to decipher an eye glass prescription. The young lady on customer service phone line was very helpful kindly instructing me as to what information was needed. She set up my account so that I could come back the next day and finish the order. Would consider coming back and ordering again.

I've ordered so many pair of glasses from this place ( sunglasses and regular) They're always right on the mark for getting the right prescription. Always takes approx a week to receive and always a great price. Some frames are made of cheaper products than others but you have to be your own advocate to research what they're made of and be sure to check the size of each frame as well. It really makes a difference to get the size that fits you best. I have been happy with 9 out of 10 pair. I enjoy wearing all my different glasses that I hardly ever wear my contacts anymore. This place is the best.

Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
Answer: I received two pairs very quickly but was very disappointed when i put them on only to find out the prescription was completely wrong. There are no refund or exchange directions in your website or with the packaging, so I did not know the number to call. Please get in touch with me asap about exchanging the glasses for ones with the correct lenses. Thank you very much.
