I ordered a pair of glasses copying my friend as I tried on a pair of my hers and loved them! I was really happy with my new glasses while I had them. The other day, I went to the gym and sat in the sauna... as I always have. After I left the sauna, I realized that my vision was completely blurry. At first I thought it was my eyes but then soon realized it was the lenses. I googled it and realized that high temperatures can ruin my frames... I asked around to friends and family and no one has ever heard of this being common knowledge... Unfortunately, when I live chatted with customer service, thinking I would have an understanding person and get some type of compensation for that bizarre situation, customer service said they could not help at all.
Money is tight and I was not intending to drop over $150 on new frames for a fluke accident that no one has ever heard of before. I am disappointed in the customer service and would not recommend.
I ended up ordering replacement lenses that will be here in over 2 weeks when I do not have backup frames...
This is my second time ordering from EyeBuyDirect. Syncing my insurance benefits was incredibly easy and there were an innumerable selection of quality frames for me to choose. On previous order, EyeBuy calculated my intermediate glasses prescription for me, using my overall Rx, and those glasses have worked out well. But this time they said I needed to go back to my doctor for that intermediate Rx calculation.
Had cataract surgery, which made new glasses a must.Was able to easily adjust my order to get the price I wanted. Love the new glasses.

Discount codes are hard to decipher. Even if it says the discount is for the lenses, it wasn't accepted because the frame is already discounted even thought the code is supposed to be for the lenses and not for the frame.
Customer service was great but the lenses aren't great. The quality definitely is not there when it comes to their lenses. The sunglasses are really not sunglasses. They are really just slightly tinted lenses.
The frames are affordable, and you can really control what you are paying for. I love this about eye buy direct because I care about my style. I'm very front facing for work, and I love to change my hair color and style to fit the room or just my mood. I'm constantly getting compliments on my frames be it the style, color, or variety. I have had 3 glasses that have been flawless. The last pair of meta glasses that my insurance paid were sent incorrectly so i had to return them and will hopefully get my refund as it was a really weird order. The item was delayed in delivery and then when I received them, it was the wrong pair and wrong rx. A bummer because probably someone got my glasses incorrectly also. I used my vision insurance so while the customer service representative was awesome, she was limited to only being able to give my out of pocket cost refunded and I lost my vision insurance benefit for the year because apparently when you purchase meta ai glasses, eyebuydirect is a distributor and cant help with the whole 3rd party distributor and also vision insurance. So that being said, i would be timid to use vision insurance and purchase 3rd party name brand items and stick to the cheaper in house products and dont use insurance, otherwise you will
Lose your benefit and be out of luck. The representative was very helpful and kept saying it was unfortunate but thats just the way it works. For now I will stick with buying the cheaper glasses with no name brand to not risk losing my annual benefit.
Easy today get new pair of glasses without having to leave your house. Very easy to add prescriptions and customize any type of glasses.

Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
Answer: I received two pairs very quickly but was very disappointed when i put them on only to find out the prescription was completely wrong. There are no refund or exchange directions in your website or with the packaging, so I did not know the number to call. Please get in touch with me asap about exchanging the glasses for ones with the correct lenses. Thank you very much.
