I have been ordering from Eyebuydirect since 2018. The extensive size guides are what initially hooked me, as I was able to find a pair of similarly sized frames to a pair I was buying from a local supplier that became unstocked. It was even better that the pair I bought was about 20% the cost of the pair I had been buying (frames and prescription combined). At the time, I was working my way through college and money was scarce, so budget friendly was a huge factor. Adding in the decent quality for the price, and I was forever hooked. Because of the low prices, I am more willing to explore different types of eyewear.
If I have one negative thing to say, it was that my current glasses (also from here) are not anti-reflective even though that was part of the package. This is very problematic with pictures, especially when I needed to update my ID. This was not an issue with another set I owned, so I hope the new set is better.
I have been buying my family's eyeglasses with Eyebuydirect.com for years and not only they are more affordable than on other sites. They look awesome.

I would like to point out that I screwed up when I was giving a review at the end of my chat and accidentally clicked on "1" for my rating of the representative that helped me and I MEANT TO CLICK ON "10".
Previously I wont lie i was VERY hesitant but with eyeglasses in store prices rising and the such i had to try these guys to see if they're good and as well priced as people swear and YES they are. It DOES take time for them to ship and make the frames but they work great when arrived.
The glasses did not fit well. I think it was the nose size. They keep falling down. If I tighten it around my face, it hurts my temples. I bought them for a backup pair when vacationing overseas and they came in very quickly.
Very easy shopping and ordering! I just wish that my VSP Vision insurance was in-network for this site. I've tried the others and I am not a fan. The one thing that would be nice to have is a feature similar to WP. They send you up to 5 frames to try on at home. I am fine without it. Generally speaking, that is for people who don't know their measurements, etc.

I was hesitant to purchases glasses online, but their measurements were accurate and the product feels good. The lenses are spot-on and progressive. I was concerned at one point because it took a full two weeks to get here, but get here they did, and packaged safe and protected. I'd buy from them again.

I ordered 2 pair of glasses for my son. Unfortunately, I input the numbers incorrectly. When I received the order and realized they were very wrong, I called customer service. The associate I spoke to not only found my error, but took care of corrections and submitted the order for me! She was not only helpful, knowledgeable, and polite but so very kind! I will be a long term customer! I have- and will continue to- shout from the rooftop that anyone needing glasses needs to check here first!
I completed my order and paid for the services March 20. I did not receive my order until April 9 which is a total of 20 days. When I called to inquire they kept just saying that they had until April 9th to get it to me as that would be 14 business days. On the other hand, my wife create an order and she received her order within 8 days.
Always received good quality frames and lenses from EBD. And if there's ever been an issue, customer service has been prompt and helpful in making it right. This is the site I use the most to buy frames/lenses with. I think they're the most affordable, best quality one I've found over the years.
Wish there was a drop down in the cart where you can add your earned discount codes. If you go backwards to update shipping address or payment info, the discount code gets wiped out.
Great customer service had an issue with the first pair and they didn't give me any issue when I wanted to exchange for another pair! Very happy with the new pair! Will definitely order my glasses from this website for now on!
I ordered readers with 2 day shipping and progressives with regular shipping. My readers came and they were made to be distance glasses. EyeBuy was great about getting a replacement pair but uninstall those cane as distance glasses too. They didn't seem to be able to confirm on their end why they were made wrong. A third replacement was ordered and came…. Same…. Distance…. They eventually blamed it on the lab because it was the lab they use for 2 day shipping that might not have had the +2 magnification lenses so they just made them without (3 times!) ultimately they cancelled and refunded my order and asked me to select a new pair that were not 2 day shipping. I am waiting for these.
So specifically
- it was near impossible to find frames in my size that were 2 day shipping that books be made with my prescription (not any unusual type of prescription) and when I did pick and find one apparently they couldn't be made as readers despite the system saying so
- the search functions in their website seem great because you can search by a lot of things but you can't really plug in your own rx and find glasses with any other filters applied (size, shape etc)
- customer service chat was polite and helpful but I got disconnected multiple times on multiple days. For the most part the notes were in there and the next person could pick up
- for at least 1 frame and I suspect more the "try on" feature does not show accurate dimensions of the frames…I. E I had a pair of frames (the progressives I picked) physically on my face (they were huge!) and went back to the try on function for the same pair and they looked visibly significantly smaller
- the measurements they ask you to use to get appropriately sized glasses don't account for the complete size of your head temple to temple. They account for pupil distance, arm/temple length, lens size, nose bridge size.
The ordering process is very easy and usually when I'm in need of glasses, I want them quick. Everywhere else I order takes at least 2 weeks. I love that your lenses are affordable and come quickly.

Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
Answer: I received two pairs very quickly but was very disappointed when i put them on only to find out the prescription was completely wrong. There are no refund or exchange directions in your website or with the packaging, so I did not know the number to call. Please get in touch with me asap about exchanging the glasses for ones with the correct lenses. Thank you very much.
