I purchased 3 items totaling about $22 and applied $15 of express cash rewards to the purchase. Afterward they said one of the three items worth $9 was out of stock and did not give me the option to adjust or cancel my order. I realized this would bring the total down under $15 which would mean I would be covered by my express cash (and unfortunately even lose some of the express cash), yet the updated receipt charged me an additional $3.56. I reported this to customer service online and spoke to people at express in person who reassured me the charge would go away once I picked up the items. It did not. Once I proved the charge did go through, I requested a refund. Suddenly their story changed and they claimed they can't have an order for $0 (this is a lie, I've done this before) and offered me $10 express cash instead of a refund. This company needs to be held accountable because they are stealing money from their customers and should not get away with it.
The clothing is great just know that shipments take forever. When I can't find a size in the store the employee is so eager to have me buy online so I did and I'm waiting a month later - this was a mistake
I absolutely love Express, they made it easy to purchase and return but you'll have to pay $6.99 for returning. I recently gave a bad review on the dress I bought via Express and at the same time, I post another good review on the 2nd item at a similar time. The good review went public on the Express website however I checked the bad review on the dress I bought a few days later. I noticed that it never posts. Apparently, Express filters out the bad reviews on their website. Huge disappointment because I use reviews for my purchases.
I bought two body-contour mock turtlenecks. The description of merchandise online failed to mention the turtleneck is cropped. The shirt hem was above my navel and my pants waistline. I wrote a fair and balanced review using my customer account with Express which they never published. As the merchandise was somewhat pricey, I would not buy from them again for these reasons.
The last time I made a payment I was $2 short. I caught it, and paid it, but apparently did so late. Thinking I paid off my card, I ignored my subsequent statement available emails. Turns out, I was being charged $10 late fees, 1st on the $2 late payment, then on the late fee, so I ended up with a $23 charge. I tried to make a purchase today and couldn't because my credit card had been shut off because I had the $23 payment pending. I found this out when I called Customer Service. I have spent thousands of dollars at Express over the years, and what they came back with was "well, we'll give you $10 back". Seriously... billion $ retailer? You're going play that bull$#*! game with me? I could care less about the $10... it's the principle.
Guess what Free People and Anthropologie? My thousands of dollars I would have spent with Express going forward will now be yours! Bye Express! Keep treating good customers like this and see what happens. There are plenty of other great places to shop.
I got a $40 birthday cash rewards, which I used them to buy 2 shirts, ended up pay nothing else out of my pocket, but the shirts didn't fits me, so I took them back to the store, thinking that I was going to get a exchange, for a bigger size, but I end up loosing everything my shirts and my birthday money, they don't want to exchange the items or putting back the $40 birthday cash, so if something like that happens to you, keep the items to your self, give them to a friend or sell it, in order to buy the stuff back, but don't do what I did, express don't give you $#*! back, you will end up loosing everything! Express sucks!
Hi I want to report a filipino customer service rep who just wasted 20 minutes of my time, hung up on me, pretending to look up my account information to help, didnt say anything for an additonal 15 minutes, then when i asked her if she recieved my screen shots for proof ( i dont know why i need to keep sending personal screen shots of my account information when she can look it up as a rep) i feel she did this to waste my time and thus, hung up on me. Horrible. I reported her
I order a lot from Express! Sometimes I need to return things, but it is expensive and they do not offer free returns, so I'll take it to the store.
Yesterday, I drove to the mall and the place was CLOSED because they didn't have employees according to the sign in the door. I drove all the way there to save money and wasted it on gas. So, I decided to drive to the other Express at the other mall because it was my only day off and it was CLOSED too! It had a sign for adjusted hours. I waited 45 minutes for them to open.
1. If you aren't going to open your stores you need to have free returns or extend your return period. What I experienced yesterday was unprofessional.
2. I asked the cashier how much starting pay is for an associate and they said $11. You all know McDonalds is hiring for $14, right? No wonder you don't have employees.
I wouldn't bother going to the Express store in The Firewheel Mall in Garland, TX. On one of the tables with the pull out drawers were a mess, pants everywhere unfolded and crumpled up, same with the clearance. All of the associates working at the time were rude and unhelpful. I'd rather drive out of my way to shop at the other mall locations. Really irritating since I was trying to make it a quick stop for dress pants, ended up leaving with nothing and irritated.
I ordered a bracelet gift. They sent my recipient a cheap necklace. They refused to make it right until my gift recipient first spends time and money mailing back the wrong item. Disgusting. They should send the right item with a return package for the cheap, ugly necklace. They essentially stole $30 from me. Nothing I said would get them to treat this correctly. Zero customer service and obviously they stole my money.
I've been shopping at Express for over a decade. Love their clothes and that they carry a petite sizes in business attire. The in store policies are constantly changing and sometimes their service is lacking so I prefer to shop online.
Online service is fantastic! They've always resolved my issues when I give them a call, when it comes to an item I've purchased being out of stock; they'll honor the price for a similar style item or the item in a different color.
I would definitely recommend Express. They always have great sales and online customer is top notch.
I buy some of my clothes from Express online or from its store. I am having two important issues from online ordering:
1. One of the items is always wrong. Since this is repeated many times, I believe that they ship wrong item intentionally to make money because price of such item is much lower than the one I order. But they are similar color. For example price of polos ranges from 25 to 50 dollar. I order one, if it fits then order two or three more with different colors. In the last two orders the cost of polo was $50 each, but they replaced one with $25.
2. Quality of clothes and jeans from online store is much lower than the ones you can get from the Express store. You can get the same jeans or polos from Walmart or Member's Mark with $15 or less.
Express has to fix its business practice and quality of online stores.
I needed new clothes for my new job. I placed order online only received half of the discount from coupon. The customer service rep said because sale items couldn't receive the full discount. I asked for a supervisor waited 10 minutes on hold and was disconnected. I call again the rep said she would give me expedited shipping at no charge because I was so upset. She said it would take 5 business days for me to see the $15 credit. The next day I see an unauthorized additional $38.49 charged to my debit card. They said this was because one of the dresses was being shipped out separately. I already paid for this dress. They said these funds were on hold to make sure I had funds on my card t since the dress was being shipped out separately and would fall off my account in 5 days and nothing further could be done. I order from Amazon all the time and they divide my shipments up and never billing disputes ever! I called my bank and told them this amount was unauthorized and blocked Express from having access to my debit card anymore since they lost my trust. From now on I will only shop in the stores and will never use my debit card again. I do like their clothes and have had positive experiences in the stores only. Stay away from shopping on express.com unless you enjoy being aggrevated and being overcharged.
I ordered a dress and it arrived late, but Express wouldn't let me return the order outside the return window even though they were at fault because my order was much later than they had promised
Worst Customer service ever. Would not recommend. I ordered shoes that were over 50.00, so it should have been free shipping, but it kept saying shipping $8.00 for marketplace shipping. When I called customer service, they told me to place the order and they would take off the 8.00 since it should be free shipping. When I called back I speak to customer service, I spoke to supervisor, Melissa, and she told me they cant take off for marketplace shipping. I was very upset since I would not have placed the order for the 8.00 shipping and was told I would be reimbursed for it. As for customer service, I felt like Melissa should have reimbursed me for the $8.00, since that is what the other lady told me on the phone. However, she told me that per policy she could not do anything for me and for me to have a great day.
I like shopping at Express. Have been for years however, I am trying to avoid shopping with them due to marketing issues. EVERY SINGLE TIME I buy something in the store, I give them my phone number for the express program, I start to receive emails. I think that when the cashiers are checking out customers, they opt the customers to receive emails in WHICH I NEVER HAVE BEEN ASKED to receive emails and once I get these emails, Express sends ALOT OF THEM. I have the same issue when ordering online with them. I MAKE SURE I click on the box THAT SAYS NOT TO RECEIVE EMAILS BUT I STILL RECEIVE EMAILS when I order online. This is my issue that really annoys me is once I receive these emails when shopping in person or online, I keep on clicking unsubcrise and after months go by & clicking on unsubcrise, I still receive emails from express. I actually couple of days ago, cancelled having an express program with them due to this reason and really try to not shop here because of them using my email WITHOUT MY CONSENT.
I ordered a camera. When I received it. There was no micro SD card and it didn't work. I contacted cs and they informed me some BS story that it doesn't come with it. And supposedly not responsible for 3rd party be.
Well, I used to shop here all the time. Pants were great, portofino blouses were my favorite. The last time I ordered online, I was unhappy with my purchases. Well, this past week I went to the mall to shop there. What HAPPENED? Suddenly, the store looked like it was filled with cheap, inferior clothing but the prices were far from cheap! $69 for dress pants. None that fit! They were either super short, too long, and the waist was so tight. I went from a 2 to a size 4, but the waist was the same. Express has gone down in quality BIG TIME. I was there for almost an hour, and found nothing! Guess this store is off my list!
Needed a clarification regarding my payment and spoke with someone named Guy. He straight up started yelling and making fun of me. I requested to speak with his supervisor and Jenksin (not sure about her name) she totally ignored what I said and didn't apologize till I said "hello can you hear me." As a costumer who has been shopping at Express for years I've never had an issue with anyone. Im a very calm person, but I just can't let go of the way he treated me. Needless to say, I will gladly spend my money somewhere else. I'll be spreading the word wherever I go if I dont receive a proper apology.
It's my first time shopping online from express and it is an awful experience. Even though I paid for an overnight shipping for two items I purchased online, they sent only one item and left the other one! I have been trying to have them send the other item without any success. They jerk you around on the customer service calls telling you it would only take 24 hours for it to be processed and shipped, to only have to call them again and get the same response. I wish I had read reviews before I got in bed with express, it would have saved me a lot of pain! Incase someone reads this before their online shopping from express, DON'T DO IT! They are awful!
