I don't know what on earth would cause Express to completely annihilate the quality of their jeans! I have been buying jeans from ONLY Express for 10 years! They were dependably a perfect fit and so soft! Now... I've tried 6 different pairs in the past 10 months or so, but they just get worse. The fit is so uncomfortable and the fabric is now scratchy and no longer stretchy soft. Midrise does not exist anymore. Midrise is really high rise and I can't imagine what high rise is & now super high rise? Who are they catering to? I really am more sad than mad because I now have to find a new place to purchase jeans. I sent an email regarding these isses about 6 months ago and the response was that the Express skinny midrise was out of stock because enough was not ordered. I was told the jeans would be back. I visit online all the time and they have not returned. I just ordered 2 pairs and though they are midrise, the hit my belly button and they are rough. Still $80! Their quality is walmart now. Cheap cheap cheap.
I recently ordered a pair of jeans from Express. The shopping experience on the website was easy. Very user friendly. Shipping was slightly delayed, but not bad. I ordered these jeans the same time I ordered another pair from Forever21. My forever21 order arrived a few days before my Express order, but take into account this was during an almost nation wide snow storm, so it wasn't normal shipping conditions. I am overall very pleased with this website and would recommend it.
I ordered 5 pairs of jeans for my daughter for Christmas on Dec 1st totaling $170.00. I just tried to return them for a bigger size and because they are 2 days past the return of 60 days they refused to take them back. She buys all her pants from Express. Very disappointed in their customer service
I bought these shoes from express in Charlotte NC. They looked good and they were very comfortable. However, after less than three months noticed they started splitting on the side. I'm highly dissatisfied and highly disappointed and I use to love shopping at express. Don't buy these... EVER!
We stopped by the UTC store in December to return a couple of my boyfriend's items that he got online (didn't like quality). I picked a couple tops for myself instead. The fitting rooms were closed because of covid, but they told me it won't be an issue to return/exchange it if it doesn't fit. I agreed. Today I went to Mission Valley store to do the exchange, they looked at my items, confirmed that I can do an exchange. I picked up some jewelry instead since I didn't want to bother with sizes again. And the jewelry was buy 1 get 1 free. After waiting in the line, the girl at the register told me that the computer system won't let me do an exchange for jewelry that's a bogo, no matter the price, and I'd have to pay for each piece separately - full price - that's after we already previously paid for those items and the jewelry is on sale! Why can't I get the sale price when I'm returning the item I already paid for and never had a chance to try on because your stupid store is open for business, but closed the fitting rooms?! I already spent the money, can I just get something that actually works for me? The manager who said her name was Shelley, said she can't help me either. She looked may be 20 years old, she was very rude too. I asked to put my items back in the bag. When I opened it, I found only one top out of the two I had. I asked for my other item, the girl at the register who originally started processing the return gave me some black pants size 23 (I'm size 0). Can this be any more ridiculous? I finally found the second top I had and left the store. NEVER. EVER. Coming again. And that's after 15 years of being a loyal customer.
Also, Shelley gave me a card to call their 'customer service line', which is probably a nice way to kick the upset customer out of the store, because when I called them, the person picked up the phone asking how they can help, and when I explained the situation, they just hung up on me and switched me to an automated customer satisfaction survey. What's the point - to pretend you actually have a customer service line, when you don't?
@express I have been a client of express for ever. I had never bought shoes. I bought the 1st before TG and I wore them once and the whole heel peeled off. I went to return them and they said no because I had used them. Do not buy shoes *******@express. Very bad quality
I have a 15 dollar credit but every time I try to order something it gets cancelled! They first started claiming it's out of order but now they just say they cancel it

I recently ordered a 50 dollar sweater from express, received it today it was a used item that smelled of cheap perfume! Now why would you send me something used? I am a paying customer. Beware of them doing this, I read a similar review to mine.
The checkout is very deceiving. They charge you "FREE SHIPPING" to Canada, BS. They just say that to deceive you. They add an "international processing fee" instead of just plainly making it a shipping price. And it's barely noticeable, you won't even see it. And, it doesn't even come on the receipt of your email... It would just show "Shipping/ handling $0" which is a complete lie.
I placed an order on the October 23 and 5 days it has not been shipped and they don't know when it is gonna ship!

There was a sign as you exited in very very fine print that stated it was for the lowest priced items that you buy.
I love their clothes but trying to place an international order was hell. Their website claims to deliver internationally but when you input your contact details it won't accept international phone numbers, or any state other than an US one so how are you supposed to place an online order? I wasted hours on this and their so called customer service was useless as they couldn't fix the problem either. This problem must have cost Express a fortune in international orders.
Just wanted to say that Kyle@ Store#611 in Pembroke Lakes mall in Florida, was absolutely the best! He helped me with things I was looking for, exchanges, and placing an online order from the store on items in the size I needed.
He's a keeper, friendly, patient and went above and beyond to offer the best for me as a customer!

I been shopping with express for past few years and I never had this kind of issue.
After purchasing an item with a free shipping promotion, they emailed me a day later saying that I actually owed them the shipping cost! Because it was "sold by a third party vendor", the shipping promo (retroactively) did not apply! I placed the order on the Express website, so what difference would it make to me if I was purchasing a "third party" item? The transaction amount, with the applied promo, was clearly stated and processed on express.com. To be clear, there was no verbiage in the promo's fine print that third party vendors were excluded, and that was confirmed when my payment was processed. When I contacted customer service, they refused to honor their original asking price. I had to pay them the shipping cost to process the order! That's utterly ridiculous and so dishonest. I have never heard of such greedy, suspect, unhelpful behavior from what I thought was an upstanding company. I'll never order from them again, and will tell everyone I can to avoid them at all costs.
I purchased two pair of the Columnist Barely Boot pants in black a couple years ago and loved them. I wore them all the time, very flattering and comfortable. I lost some weight and wanted to replace those pants with new ones that fit better and order the same pants in a size smaller. I wore them once and noticed that the fabric was pilling and looked like something had rubbed them and made them look aweful. I thought it was my purse or something I had carried that had rubbed the pills into the fabric, so I tried using my sweater shaver to get them off. I wore them again and noticed the same thing,. I thought maybe it was just the way I washed them so I wore the other pair and the same thing happened. I took out my old pants and they still look nice and new and I have worn them several times. I called express and they told me there was nothing they could do about it since I wore them. I am writing this because their quality has obviously gone downhill. Those pants should last more than two wearings and I will not be buying any more dress cloths from them. Times are tough, but they need to keep their clothing quality in check or they are going to lose a lot of customers.
I've been a express customer for years(15 years). I ordered two pair of jeans and I only received one pair. I did not receive a tracking number for the 2nd item and when I pull up the order number online, it only shows me one pair of jeans. When I placed the order on July 27, my email order confirmation shows two items that I have purchased. Since then, I have attempted to call the contact center twice and have waited an hour total trying to get someone on the phone but did not get anyone. I tried out the live feature, but same thing, no one responds.
Then I decided to email customer service and it's been almost 48 hours. I have no received any feedback on my order. I've wasted so much time trying to contact your customer service and all for the mistake your company made. Yes, mistakes do happen but a customer should not have to keep trying to track down customer service for help. This is ridiculous.
Whenever they say they're having sales from 6pm to midnight. You can't order anything because they intentionally shut the website down you won't be able buy anything until the sales ends
