I ordered 4 items that were on sale and the total came up to be around 140 dollars. Right after I input my payment info, suddenly my total changed to 280 (sale items became full price) and I was charged all of it! I contacted customer support and they said they couldn't sort it out via email, that I needed to call them. It is too much of a hassle, never ever again will I ever buy anything online from them! Such a shame because I love the brand.

Watch returns

Returned my items two months ago and never received refund. Contacted them and received an email back stating that it was never received. Suddenly the item was found once I told them I had insurance on the return and it was indeed signed for 6 weeks prior. They said they would refund my card however deducted shipping costs and and an additional 10 dollars that they cannot account for. Long story short - not worth it to return with this company. They are scammers.

Terrible Service

I wanted to return something I bought online at the Queens Center Mall Express store but it was a horrible experience. They wouldn't return it even though it was unworn and the staff as well as the manager were rude. Even the receipt I received from the shipment was typed wrong. It said the vest was navy blue when it clearly wasn't (and I had no idea it was wrong when I showed them at the store) and they wouldn't accept it even though they were at fault. Really terrible. I wish they were more professional.

Terrible Shipping

I ordered online and selected 5-7 business days. At the end of the 7th day I checked on my tracking number to find that the order was delayed and was going to take another week, plus a holiday weekend. Customer service was unapologetic and did nothing to help. They should have offered to reship the order and two-day it to me. I will never shop with them again when I can have free next day shipping from other companies. They are overpriced anyway.

Made a purchase online and after a week called customer service to see what had happened with my purchase and was told UPS couldn't find the address. I confirmed that the address was in fact correct to begin with and then was later told the items I had purchased was out of inventory. The entire transaction was very disappointing.

Each time, I see something I would like to purchase, it is not available online but only in select stores...
What is the point of having a website if you want your remote customers to driver 20 + miles to get to the store.
Pointless, plus the clothes arent quality either. Rather just use the same amount buy from BR, Macy's and other brands.

Let me down today.

I went to return a blouse that my mom got today, it didn't fit her right so went to exchange into mideum size. A gal helped me. I said i want to exchange the blouse but she said we dont have a size in store. She told me she can look it up online and ship it for free to my adress so she returned me the cash. I got the shirt for $10.61 with tax with my rewards and promotions card few hours ago and when i said exchange she told me i have to pay 39.90 plus tax.so, i said never mind i will take the shirt back but again she said i have to pay the full prize as i have returned it. I went there for exchange not return. That gal mess everything up and even the manager at store was like sorry can't do anything for you and just ignored. I love the store but today customer service let me down.

Ordered online. Spent not a few dollars but a few hundred. Upon checking out the site was glitching. When my order finally went through there was an extra $100 added on. All that was done was a recalculating of my order to the correct amount. The issue is the $$ they took out is still going to hold to my account for up to 5 business days and it is in the wee morning hours of saturday morning. That is an extra $100 for a week that I planned to have. Very disappointed.

I ordered clothes from express in the begging of April. The pair of leggings had a rip in them, so I returned them for a new pair. Three weeks later, still no new leggings. I called multiple times and they kept reassuring me they would come, but a month and a half later, still nothing. I called again and they finally admitted that another pair had never been shipped. At this point the item was out of stock. They offered me credit to buy another product for the same price and I was so angry I just asked for my money back. Another two weeks and I still don't have my money back. I called again to find out that they simply cancelled the new leggings (that were zero dollars because they were being returned) and not the original item. I was assured this time I would actually get my money back, but I'm doubtful. I used to shop at express quiet often, but this experience has completely ruined their company for me. I will not be shopping there again.

I paid extra to have my items overnighted - I check the status online myself and come to find out that the order won't arrive for another 4 days! I notify Customer Service of my issue and they just say "sorry for the delay". I requested to cancel the order as my items will not arrive on time and I was told it cannot be done and I'll have to wait to get it then return it on my own. So after I point out a failed delivery as promised, I'm dealt with additional steps to take to handle an already frustrating situation? Worst customer service ever.

I used to shop at express for basic stuff, I like the fit, colors etc. I know it's overpriced but w/e. Well. I got several tee shirts, and polos from express. When I washed and dried them they pilled, big time. Unwearable. My express shirts from the past never had this problem. Well. I compared labels, and they went cheapo, they took away cotton and added acrylic. I guess saving a few cents is worth irritating customers for their overpriced shirts. It's a tee shirt, I'm not dry cleaning a tee shirt. Absolutely never shopping there again. Go somewhere else.

This company wasted my time and money. I ordered a pair of pants for my graduation, needed it that week therefore I ordered overnight shipping. After delay, i receieved a pair of pants with a large tear on the leg, i was told by customer service that if I resend the pants and provide them with the tracking number they will send another pair overnight free of charge. Well after another call to give them my tracking number I found that that was false, customer service told me that they will not resend another pair until they receive the return shipment. At this point I just requested my momey back, customer service told me that it will be refunded after three weeks. After five weeks i called and asked where my money was, after more than an hour on the phone they said they will send a total refund including shipping cost to my credit card. After another week i found out that they did not refund me the $21 shipping cost. I will recommend that no one shops at this terrible service.

False advertising

My family & I went to Express store in Potomac Mills, VA. We saw the sale signs that were showing 50% off suits. In fact I specifically picked a photographer suit that was displayed under the 50% off sign. Based on that sign (I took pictures & would be happy to share), I tried on different sizes of suits, matching shirts & accessories for about an hour. I was highly disappointed after standing in line for another 20 mins to find out the suit I picked out was not on sale for 50% even though it was right below the sign. It is false advertising when you put a sign & the suit below it is not for sale for the percentage listed. I've been an express shopper for years & this makes me question that loyalty.

Hi, I am from India, for the 1st time i made a purchase on express.com on 21st April. My cc was charged US$ 56.69 and it was shipped to my local address in NY on 23rd and then to my shock i got a 2nd sms from my cc saying express charged US $ 56.69 that same night i called express they said its a technical error and they will refund in 3 days, 4 days latter i called they said by 9th may it will be refunded, today 10th may, I called up again, they say its charged only once on 29th April, i told them how is it possible that you charge on 29th April, when I have placed the order on 21st April and on 23rd its already shipped.
I have shopping since last 5 years on ae.com never had such issues.
Its a scam by express.

Racial Profiling

I went to an express store in Lewseville, TX today walked out $140 worth of purchases and stepped out to grab my kids to see if they would like a some items from the store. After about 20 minutes, we left and suddenly their anti-theft alarms went off as we walked out which was interesting because it never went off when first left the store and then walked back in. They were only profiling my kids and I because we walked in wth and Express Shopping bag.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE

The clothes came fine. It is the double charge scam they are trying to pull. I called them and they told me it was a preauthorization. I said no you already charged my card last week and now you are trying to charge my card again. As I see this is what they do as per below reviews. I have now had to email them my statement showing they already got my money and to stop trying to take more money. I have never had an issue before but with this and the headache I am having to go through I will never order online from them again. Just a total rip off, and the "supervisor" I talked to really needs to learn customer service.

Update: I was told I would be speaking with customer service within the hour. I didn't, luckily my bank is amazing and stopped the process of an additional charge. Will never do online ordering from them again and how I do most of my shopping this way, they are pretty much losing a customer.

I returned by mail an online order. When I received refund not only did they subtract return shipping but they refused to refund sales tax on the purchase. It was a small amount but the online division of this company is very shady.
In addition on the order they added 20 cents for whatever. When you add up all these bogus charges on thousands of customers the amounts could be in the thousands of dollars.
