Never book through this company; company is registered in US but there is no one to run it in the US. You call the number and you get to talk to customer service in INDIA which is horrible. We booked through this site; we get a call back stating the flight we booked is cancelled and asked us to choose another flight. We couldn't do it due to time constraints and requested refund; company agreed to process the refund. We called them every week for more than 4 months; never got any resolution. DO NOT BOOK from this site. This company is totally SCAM.
This agency maybe the worst travel agency i have ever experience in my life. I travel all around the world for work or pleasure and just to change a flight date with this agency i spent over 15 hours to took 2+ weeks to get done.
No Consistent Rep
Theres is never one consistent rep, so youre constantly regurgitating the same issue over and over again, and if its off hours for them, they require approval from a higher authority before they can do anything.
Charging your Credit
Becareful with your credit card cause they charge your credit card on a whim and i had to cancel certain charges due to their short coming customer support.
Constantly make excuses
They are a very defensive agency where they constantly make excuses with their shortcoming, and the discussion usually ends up more as a "im doing the best i can" vs what can i do for you
Vague Emails
Their emails are extremely vague and not detailed for a flight agency, and just to change the ticket dates, they misspelled one of my sons name wrong (why didnt you just copy and paste) and when i discussed the issues, they told me that they are going to charge me extra for a name change.
Definitely do not use this service. I had to block my account and retrieve a new debit card because they charged money to my account without my knowledge. I wanted to get a flight with UNITED AIRLINES, and they got the flight for me, however, the operator fed me false information about my seating arrangements and the price of the tickets - Then when I called UNITED AIRLINES they gave me the actual information that I needed and a full refund, when Explore Trip told me a refund was impossible and actually demanded more money from me to cancel my reservation. They charged my card 250 dollars, when my plane tickets were only 600 dollars for a total of 850 dollars - which means they charged me over 30% of the value of my tickets to do something I could of done myself. Hell to the no. Not only that, but they were very rude and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
This travel agency has proven incredibly unscrupulous and completely unethical. They fraudulently claimed to be accredited by the following: American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), and the International Air Transport Association (IATAN). However, they are not listed in any of these organizations' directories. When I reported this to said orgs, miraculously those logos disappeared from ExploreTrip's website within 24 hours!
Further, they overcharged for a fare, due to a delay on their part of the booking process, which resulted in several hundred dollars more being charged than the original quote. They then relentlessly refused to refund the overcharge, and then avoided issuing the refund over the course of 4 weeks, numerous email, over 20 phone calls, and 10+ hours on the phone being given the runaround to the point of exhaustion. It was finally issued after the threat of reporting their behavior to state regulatory agencies.
Given how awful and unscrupulous they are, I strongly feel the need and responsibility to report this. DON"T USE THEM!
I booked a flight on a whim through kayak that sent me to explore trip. I was hesitant because if never heard of them but figured since it was through kayak it should be ok. When never received a ticket within the four hours, which I thought odd, why that long... I started looking them up. Very rare good reviews. When I called them I couldn't understand what the agent said when I asked about the ticket. I asked twice and only could understand something about it being taken care of within half an hour. I told them I just wanted to cancel and when asked why I told them the truth. No ticket and bad reviews. To their credit they cancelled it with no problems except a follow up phone call which I told him I didn't appreciate. I was told twice my cats want charged, via email, but there was a pending charge. It's been a week and that pending charge still was there. I'm not sure if it was my email to them about it expressing my answer about it or calling the bank today, despite being told it could be easier 14 days, or the fact that I changed my card that made it drop off today but I would steer clear of these people. Again, to their credit I did check the airline site before calling then and the site did have the booking but I was still nervous about a trip that I really need going wrong.
I write regarding my recent interaction with your company. I recently had a family member who was flying from the US to the UK. He unfortunately missed his flight due to factors outside his control (the airline wouldn't let him check-in). The airline told me that the issue was with the travel agency and that I would need to address the issue with the travel agency directly (Explore Trip). When I called Explore Trip, I spoke with an agent who told me that I could pay a reinstatement fee and get my family rebooked on another flight. Unfortunately, the phone line dropped at this time and I was unable to continue the conversation with this agent. Instead, I called back and got another agent, who proceeded to tell me that the ticket was entirely forfeited. Despite the fact that I had both the airline and another agent at the same company tell me that I could pay a fee and reinstate the ticket (I disagreed with the fee, but I had no choice since this family member was going to the UK for a funeral of a close relative). When I explained the circumstances to her supervisor, the supervisor offered no compassion, understanding, or sympathy. Instead, she told me that the travel agency had done nothing wrong, despite the fact that the airline told me it was the travel agency's responsibility. She told me that I had to pay another $3000 for a last minute ticket and that nothing I could do would bring back this ticket. I was appalled at the complete lack of understanding or interest in helping me. This company seems to be a shockingly callous money making operation.
I booked with exploretrip.com and got a confirmation from them. A DAY LATER, they called and told me my card was declined and I need to book a new ticket for almost double the price. I asked Suton, the "supervisor", why a restaurant could process a card in 2 minutes but it took them over a day, and he just said "just the way it is". Terrible customer service, talking over me and sending false confirmations. In the time they wasted I could have just bought a ticket from a different site. Never seen anything like this. Huge thumbs down.
I would give zero stars. Waste of your time trying to book from this site. They advertise a low price, when you try to book, it will prompt you to call customer service. They try to sell you tickets for a higher price. They are just fooling you.
I received e mail that my reservation done on line wasnt completed( I am guessing credit card from soreign country/ security issue) so when I called back, person eas really unhelpful and kind of rude, so I cancell all together my reservation. Really bad customer services.
Bought 'tickets' to Taipei for a friend's wedding and save a couple hundred bucks through this site. They sent me confirmation of the purchase and flight times, but nothing they gave me resembled a ticket. The numbers given were not recognised by the airline company nor did they have my name in their system. Warning bells went off, obviously, and I called these jokers at ExploreTrip, who proceeded to give me more numbers that they urged me to give the airline company in order to verify. When I asked for a refund, they became condescending and threatened a large fee if reimbursed. I am in the process of getting the fee reversed directly by my credit card company and just skipping these clowns altogether.
Please stay far away from this company.
I used to manage a customer service call center so I understand that good customer service can be hard to provide. That being said, there is no excuse for how poorly my experience with ExploreTrip has been. I have been calling their customer service line on and off for 6 months. Each time, they promise me they are "looking into my inquiry" and "will call me back tomorrow". Not only do they never call me back (I confirm they have my correct contact information every time) but the last representative had the audacity to lie to me saying that my flight had been refunded back in december which never happened.
Everytime I speak to a representative, I write down their name. When I call back a couple days after their promised call never comes, the rep I spoke with is never available. I have to then re explain my situation every time and sometimes multiple times if they keep transferring me. Apparently there is no note taking system. I understand needing time to "review my case and get back to me", but blatantly lying each time I call is unacceptable.
I booked a trip to Kathmandu through ExploreTrip and was excited that they would help take care of directly booking through the airline. My flight was with China Southern and their website was confusing so I was glad ExploreTrip's website was easier to navigate. Bad move to go with them.
Long story short, the pilot of our departing plane hit a tow truck taxing out of the airport and flight gets aborted. Here comes the good part. China Southern issued a refund statement to all third party bookings (i. E. ExploreTrip). Instead of actually refunding my ticket, they have pocketed the money for a flight I never went on. This is the reason for having to call them relentlessly to get some kind of answer on the status after 6 months!
I have travelled all over the world using many third party bookings. Luckily I purchased insurance to get a fraction of what my flight cost but save yourself the time and heartache. Going with this very incompetent company will end up costing more in the end.
Explore trip canceled my tickets 4 hours after confirming my booking. I booked my tickets late in the day. They wanted to confirm my credit card and wanted a response within 4 hours? This is ridiculous. 4 hours is too short of a time and they should have notified about it while booking tickets.
Tried to book flights with Exploretrip. They never notified us that they were unsuccessful in procuring our return flight tickets. The week before the trip, I was lucky enough to check and see if we could check-in online in advance of the flight, only for the airline to tell us we had no reservation. We ended up having to cancel a very expensive trip with no refund because the new flights would have cost us nearly $800 more dollars to book since we were now booking flights 1 week from the fly date. We couldn't afford that additional cost and had to forego a trip we'd had planned for months. Customer service only told us they could rebook flights for us at that high cost, and they said they sent me an email saying flights weren't actually booked. I have scoured my inbox and have found no such email, and I'm certain I would've paid attention to an email that our flights weren't booked! Felt like I had also been lied to so they could cover their bases. Worst part is that we would have been stuck in Helsinki without return flights if I wouldn't have tried to check in early! Explore Trip completely ruined our trip and all it would have taken was a little communication that they couldn't get our flights for us. Completely unacceptable.
I have dealt and spoke with these people many times and let me tell you this they're tricky from the get go and lack of professionalism is beyond me. I can still enumerate the names I spoke with due to their traumatizing approach in handling customer care.
Called air canada about my flight this week to Istanbul, where they haven't flown in quite awhile. They informed explore trip which had never contacted me, but evidently had changed my flight to Frankfort. Unbelievably unprofessional. Air canada has been amazing!
Awesome... Philip was great. We had a problem with our tickets and he was extremely patient and caring and assisted us
We booked through ExploreTrip after they popped up on GoogleFlights. They were cheaper so we decided to give them a shot. We had a problem with our booking and talked to one agent for almost an hour and he promised us that we would get back a partial refund of our ticket. Told us they would honor that at anytime. We called back to process after finalizing that the flight for sure would not work and were told by a different agent that there was no way they could do that. The manager was no help at all and even though I tried to explain that another agent told us differently they didn't care.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Do not use them
Awful. I travel almost monthly and this was one of the worse experience I have been through. I normally book with Kayak, Orbit, or directly with airlines. I decide to give them a shot even though some reviews seemed rough because it was slightly cheaper. I book. They send a travel document with an itinerary, confirmation number, and all that jazz. Looks exactly like a confirmation. In small print it states that it is not. They fail to actually book the flight and do not inform me. I show up to the airport and I do not have a flight booked. I call them and they tell me that they didnt book a flight because some prices changed but that it was my responsibility to make sure everything was booked correctly. They say they can offer me another flight at almost twice the fair of the original price and refuse to take any responsibility. They just tell me that I need to understand them and that while other companies dont have such a nonsensical confirmation process, it says so in the fine print of the email. Duke was a nice guy but said his hands were tide. Passes me to his supervisor Philip who was just plain condecending. Pay the extra $5 and work with professionals. These guys give 0 $#!+$ about their costumers and have terrible policies.
Booked a flight and had a problem with it. Called in and they were able to fix the error fast and without any headaches. Phillip was able to help me get it fixed and I'm 100% satisfied with the results and excited for my trip. Thanks again!
