Booked multiple hotels, flight and car rentals through Expedia. The best there is out there!
I started out using Priceline, Expedia & Travelocity (all 3) when booking trips. Over the years, Priceline is the only one that saves me money on a regular basis. I've had luck booking flights with Travelocity, but never had any luck with Expedia.
Expedia owns Hotwire and they share customer service facilities. During the course of three hours on the phone, I was lied to, told three different stories and hung up on. They never resolved my problem. Best Advice is STAY FAR AWAY.
Expedia is not always the cheapest option but the service is amazing! We've been able to book and change entire trips to Europe just by calling their call center. We've also used the expedia insurance and we recomend it very much. Also the rewards for the points you get are fair, you need a lot of points for free flight for example but they are free after all.
I used them one time only to book flights in the arab countries it was good everything went smooth.

I wouldn't book my dream vacation abroad with them, but for our trips to Mammoth, Yosemite, Big Bear, ect, they've never failed me. Excellent customer service.
Lots of info. Booked with them and my experience was positive. It turned out that we had to cancel our trip and we were happy that they gave me a quick refund! All good. Only thing is I don't think prices are best on this site. My advice is contact hotels directly for pricing. Nine times out of Ten you will get a better price!
Got the hotel I wanted, discounted price including a room upgrade, at the time was exactly what I was looking for. They did a great job. Would recommend them, after looking around if the price does NOT fit your budget. They are a great deal!
Expedia is the only place on web where you can buy tickets on cheap rates. Using this site daily to get updated with new offers and everyday you will get new and some good suitable offers
My prices seem to rise unless I go incognito to browse this site. Not a good business practice.
It is very difficult to gather all necessary information when planning a trip, especially a trip to a different country. Luckily, Expedia save me the trouble.
My husband and I booked our honeymoon through Expedia because they had an all-inclusive deal (flight, hotel, food, drinks) and we couldn't pass. The hotel was amazing! Customer service was great. The resort even had a concierge contact us days before to make sure we had everything in order. We went to the Grand Bahia in Jamaica. Expedia has a customer in us!
They claim to be cheap, but they are quite expensive compared to many of the other travel sites. Plus the ONE time i used them I ended up beside the furnace room and it was noisy all the time.
Answer: You were lucky to get through to anyone at all at Expedia. I've spent hours and hours and hours over three days trying to get through to anyone on their customer service phone line, their chat line and their e-mail, all to no avail. They really owe their customers much better customer service.
Answer: Demand to speak to a Supervisor though you better have time because it will take anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Once the Supervisor does nothing or little to nothing to resolve your concern, ask to speak to a manager. Get ready to really wait. DO NOT ACCEPT THE "WE'LL HAVE A MANAGER CALL YOU WITHIN 24 to 48 HOURS" When you figure out you don't matter, sit down and right a review!
