IT'S ALWAYS BEST TO BOOK FLIGHT TICKETS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE AIRLINE. Never ever choose to use these third party Agents... All Refunds are problematic. All Rescheduling are Problematic.
Such a Pathetic experience with Expedia in booking the International Flight Ticket. Agents are simply closing the Chat window saying System is booting and contact later. No Proper Refund Process. No agents have proper knowledge about Airline, Pricing, Policies etc...
For every question, they take close to 20 minutes to answer. If you ask next question, it will be another 20 minutes. If you POST a feedback in Facebook page, they are deleting.

DO NOT BOOK FLIGHTS

Very unsatisfied customer. Hotels or car booking might be ok but do not book flight through expedia. It's a 3rd party agency. We spent 15hrs at deverted Airport because flights were changed without acknowledging us. Ruined our travel, expedia said it is not their job to let me know about flight changed but the airline itself. Expedia has my info, airline sent them notice but didn't notify us. Never again. Save yourselves a headache.

This site has the worst customer service in the world. I am very displeased with the service. Literally trash and they don't even give you low prices they try to high ball you when you call... so terrible.

God help you if you use this site for a reservation and need to speak to a customer service rep.

I booked my ticket from new york jfk to bagdogra which expedia made my reservations on air france in september 2020. My itenerary number is **************. Due to corona virus no flights were there so air france issued me a voucher.
I am unable to use this voucher to purchase my ticket. I called expedia and expedia transfers me to air france or klm and both airlines and expedia are not able to help me out. They keep on making me go back and forht with expedia and air france, this is harrasment. I paid my money in september and now i cant even get a flight i want with the voucher. How many hours i have to hold to get a represenattive of expedia. Today i was trying to use my voucher to book my flight to ktm and back and air france or klm does not have any flight and cant help me. Expedia is the one to book my flight on air france when i booked online on expedia website. This is too much. Either refund my money or give me my ticket please

The second bad experience with Expedia

I've been having the second bad experience with them and this time I cannot give up as it is about more $1500 which I cannot forget about it.

First time they had to refund me few hundred dollars and I literally gave up as after more than 6 month of being called during my work time and meetings by the staff telling me the same thing that they requested the refund successfully from their side but blaming the airline - and I haven't got anything back. I was fed-up of getting called by them all the time with no results.

This time the airline cancelled my flight in October. (itinerary number ************** and Booking ID: KFNDEN, team with reference case ID: S-*******).

Now it is February and I am getting the same thing that they raised the case SUCCESSFULLY after 4 month but still waiting for the approval from the Airline but not sure if they will get it.

This is absolutely madness and rubbery. I had more faith in this company and I thought is a trustworthy one and it is becoming very very very disappointing.

I really hope I will get my refund back and I will not stop until I will get it this time

Very dissipated Expedia! Shame on you for a company who is claiming is a leader in Traveling!

I was looking to take my girlfriend to Moab for a long outdoors weekend over Valentine's Day. With only a couple weeks left too book, I went to expedia to compare packages. Expedia did a great job of comparing multiple packages, recommending the one that best suited my budget and my requirements. Booking was a snap. BBBBUUUTTT... In less than a day, Expedia had canceled my booking. They said the hotel canceled the booking butbcouldn't tell me why so I reached out to the lodging rental company themselves. Apparently, Expedia had acrually overbooked people at that lodging location and so they had to start canceling people (just like on an airplane). Expedia tried to blame the hotel for the error. The hotel manager was as ticked at Expedia as I was and said I wasn't the only one this had happened to. She gave me 25% off my stay if I booked again directly through the hotel.
Both my girlfriend and I had already requested time off work, booked flights on a plane, and most importantly, really gotten our hopes up. Now we're stuck at stage 1 of planning again. My advice, yes use Expedia (or better yet, a different, similar site) to compare travel plans and find one that meets your needs, but DON'T book through them. Book directly through the hotel, airline, car rental agency themselves. You don't want to end up having the rug pulled out from under you at the last minute like happened to us. Trust me, it really stinks. I'll never use Expedia again.

Scammers!

I had tried to purchase 2 tickets to Cancun for 780$ through their app and it denied me and said "error wait a minute and try again" confused by this checked to see if I had enough money on my account for the purchase and I was charged by a company claiming to be American Airlines for 411$ which is no where near the 2 ticket price I checked my email for a confirmation of what I had purchased I had 2 emails from "spirit air" which wasn't either american air or expedia their email claimed I had been charged but then canceled my flight and I checked their website and they had never charged me so I called American Air to figure why I hadn't received an email from them and they had no records of my purchase and so I called expedia to see why they haven't sent me one considering this is the app I made the purchase through and they had no purchase history regarding my information either DONT USE EXPEDIA

It's like they avoid changing flight plans at all cost, it should be way easier, never again, better off to buy directly from the airline and skip the middle man! Lesson learned thank you Expedia

Greedy horrible company

Earlier in the year my uncle passed away due to covid. I was trying to help my mom by getting her a hotel near the hospital so that she could be near him before he passed. The only way to do this was to book it through expeida so that I didn't have to be there with her to check in, this came directly from the hotel. I booked the hotel for her but unfortunately on her way down he passed and so we didn't need the hotel anymore. Expedia did not seem to care what so ever and refused to give me a refund. I was very annoyed to say the least.

Today I get some cut and paste bullcrap email offering me a "deal" due to my covid cancellation. GO F YOURSELF EXPEDIA!

The Worst!
December 15, 2020

I have been trying to get a refund for a flight that had to be canceled, due to Covid. I bought the insurance, so I would not have to have problems, in case a cancellation was necessary, and it has not mattered. I have waited over 9 months for a refund, and still have not received it. I can NEVER get a straight answer, and all they want to do is blame the airline. I booked with Expedia, and I expect them to make this right. This is NOT how you get return customers or referrals for new ones.

"misplaced" $1200
December 8, 2020

Our flight was canceled due to COVID (this is no problem). Was given credit and we rebooked later in the year. Since then, flights that were "confirmed" were never really confirmed, our credit was split and saved incorrectly as a coupon, and the entire booking was canceled and no one can figure out the reason why.

Now, the best part is, to re-book the flights that were mysteriously canceled, we need to use all of our credit+coupon amounts, BUT they aren't able to use both of them together (there's no button), so we need to pay more money in order to book the same flights.

Best part is, they said the airline can do it for us directly. BUT now Expedia can't find the coupon# or pin for the airline to access the money. $1200 has just been 'misplaced'

And now with just 1 week until our flight, it seems the perfect time to randomly cancel someone's booking, try to charge them more to re-book, and tell them we lost over $1200 of their credit.

What a day, thanks Expedia. -_-

Unclear website

Be very careful making reservations with expedia, thw website was not clear as to what type of reservation I was making. When I tried to change the date that I had made they would not help me further more the reservation was non refundable. This is a costly mistake on my part. A sad pathetic one on their part.

Expedia cancelled my flight in exchange for 'flight credits' without my consent. The customer service representative was condescending and aggressive, and hung up on me when I requested a case number to follow up tomorrow (we had been on the phone for over 3 hours). Annoyingly, because Expedia made changes to my reservation, the airline is now unable to make any changes themselves. I am now going to have to go through a small claims court... Great.

I've been using Expedia for years booking travel, hotel and bundled packages. I've never had any issues that weren't resolved to my satisfaction. I appreciated the ease of helping me with a credit for my flight to Hawaii last April when Covid shut everything down. I also like the great deals I sometimes get on hotels from using my points. When booking flights, I compare the cost of tickets offered by Expedia vs the airline, and sometimes the cost is better with the airline, but not always. I will continue to use Expedia in the future.

Covid prevented me from taking a trip last June that was booked through Expedia. Now they won't help me get a refund from the airlines. Do not use Expedia. They are just a contractor for the airlines. They do not care about their customer, the consumer.

Had to reschedule trip due to covid 19 and our sons health issues. Refused to refund money. Our place we booked to stay said they would honor reservations for a year. Not Expedia, took money from hotel to keep. When I called to. Complain was told twice they would refund part of my money. Still waiting! Filed a complaint with BBB. Do not use this company. It is no longer a great company.

I recently used Expedia for the first time to book a trip to Dallas TX. It seemed that the service was easy for comparing ticket prices. I ended up booking a Delta flight that was a little more expensive because it included a carry-on bag and a checked bag for each ticket. When I got to the airport they wanted to charge for my bags. Long story short I ended up paying an extra $120 for bags on top of the premium I had already paid. When I reached out to Expedia they confirmed that the ticket I had chosen had been switched out, unbeknownst to me at checkout but told me they could not refund me because the itinerary they sent me after the fact showed the bag needed to be paid for. Apparently with this company you figure out what your buying post-purchase. I will not be using them again.
