Air lift question
January 1, 2020

Wondered if it would be better to plumb air lifts together so as to keep loads equal. Told me it might be a good idea, Gave part number for T fitting if i desired to do that. I will try it, if there is a problem I will have the fittings to go the other way. Web site was awkward to order from but customer service lady was helpful and placed the order for me.

Auto Slide 5th Wheel
December 25, 2019

I ask a question Conner L about using a Auto slide on a 8' bed. He recommended a few 5th wheel hitches I should use instead of the slider for safety reasons. So taking his advice I will try to sell my auto slider and buy one he recommended.

Thanks for the info: Dennis

Review of answer to question about length of seatback (from top of seat to top of back) for Tomas Payne Euro RV Recliner Item # 195-*******:
Kyle computed the answer by subtracting the published seat height from the total chair height: 41 1/2"-19 1/2"= 22". I feel this is not helpful in giving the functional length of the seatback because I believe the front of the seat is 19 1/2" from the floor but the back of the seat is closer to the floor so the seatback would be longer than 22". The question is how much? It would be necessary to actually measure. (For some chairs this dimension is included in the specs.) It is very important to know this measurement. If the seatback is too short, it would not support a persons head and then the recliner would be useless.

22" would be too short for me. But if the true measurement is actually 26" it could be ok. 28" would be ideal, but 26" could work. 22" would not work. So its important to know the true number.

I had a question about the installation of the trailer hitch wiring that was unclear from their video. Got an answer that satisfied me, and the hitch and wiring were here and installed 3 days later.

I asked for the bearing set for a 1988 Ranger Bass Boat trailer. And was told to basically measure them myself to "make sure". This sites "experts" use the same advice to everyone who give makes and models of trailers... I didn't know it took a lot of education and training to tell people to measure them yourself.
My boat/trailer are stored 1.5 hours from me and not something I wanted to leave disassembled to come home with measurements and wait for an order to arrive.
Whites Marine a small eBay retailer knew what bearings I needed and I confirmed their information through a link that had my specific year owners manual. Etrailer is a sham with no real customer service or resources and leaves that all to the customer to measure/decide if the right bearing/race combo is correct.

Bought 2 Furrion ac's with dual zone thermostat kit.
1 arrived damaged and after buying kit i learned about the LED light kit.
Called to ask if I could swap out the 2 inside cover kits and pay difference. Told nope. Instructions couldn't explain how to wire in dual zone thermostat. Called the Furrion tech support and they said they have no ideas, recommend I just buy another thermostat. Called E-Trailer. Asked if they could explain how to do the install, they said they haven't a clue. They told me to keep calling Furrion tech support. Asked about a 2nd thermostat, told sure if I buy it? Asked about replacing the broken outside cover. Was told I would need to remove the complete unit and send back?
Your better off purchasing from amazon cheaper and they stand behind everything. Mr Greg was a nice man he's just unable to do anything since E-Trailer is not really capable of customer service.
2200. 00 spent and I'm stuck with a broken cover, no idea how to wire them in to thermostat. My advice is anyone other then this outfit.
Customer service is another way of saying yes it's our fault but you'll still need to pay extra and wait

Update. 6 weeks later they did send me another ac cover... I'm just wondering why they couldn't have just removed said cover from one they had in stock?. At least I did get the broken cover fixed

Thank you for your comments and confirming the proposed options as viable. In the end I opted for the RoadMaster spare tire carrier because it's hitch will accommodate a hitch mounted cargo carrier. Our RV is a 2017 MB sprinter 2500 which has zero exterior storage and storage inside is very limited. This option seemed best to me.

The response time and the detail of their engagement is second to none. Truly floored at how great etrailer customer support has been. They responded quickly and took the time to read my question and provided a detailed response. Etrailer sets the bar for me in how to measure others. Carla was a gem.

Very helpful feedback
October 12, 2019

While I should have been more patient awaiting reply, the reply was nonetheless very helpful. Afterward, I determined my 18" trailer hitch height was more like 17, not 18, suggesting I need a 5" or 4 1/2" rise. I had ordered a 4" rise. I may end up returning and swapping the 4" for a 4 1/2 or 5". Lesson learned: Never mention drop or rise on a sloped driveway. Use a level for trailer side to determine hitch mount height.

Even though I haven't purchased anything, Kyle took the time to research my question about reducing suspension squat while towing on my 2016 F-150 (6" lift) and answered in a timely manner. I have purchased from e-trailer in the past and I am even more likely to do so in the future. Thanks Kyle!
