I ordered one dress year ago and everything is good with it. Bright blue color. Fits me well. Cotton! Pockets, which is important if you want always have your phone with you. Model I like. Be honest, it's difficult to find really flattering dress in store. And already a year I try to find something nice on the site. But what do I see? Boring dusty grandma looking colors. A lot of black. Do you guys supply funerals? NO fitted dresses, mostly flare. If style is nice, color is horrible.
I bought a denim shirt from eShakti. It was the most I have every paid for a shirt. I love the shirt and the pockets. Very comfortable to wear. What I am warning you about is to never buy anything from them with buttons. After 1 wash I had one button come off. After 2 washes another button is ready to fall off. I don't have time or want to continue to sew on buttons after a paid that much for a shirt.

I was insulted about my measurements for a custom dress by three different employees, including the incredibly rude manager Ann. She yelled at me and I promptly canceled my order. I'd suggest staying far away.
Edited to respond to their comment: they told me my measurements were "impossible." When I was finally able to speak with a customer service person and then the manager, they reiterated how I must be wrong. When I confirmed again and again that the measurements were actually correct and that their comments were hurtful (especially directed toward someone who's ordering a custom dress so there's a hint that the measurements may not be entirely standard), they completely dismissed my concerns and angrily told me that they would go ahead with the order with the measurements I gave. So I told them to just cancel it. No chance I'm supporting a company that treats their customers like this. I will add that the only reason for the discrepancy is my small bust size and I normally buy dresses off the rack all the time so clearly my measurements are not out of the realm of typical. They just seemed to feel the need to make me feel bad about it.
They deleted my review on their Facebook page so it's clear they only want positive reviews out there. I posted on my personal page and got some interesting feedback--turns out I'm not the only one they've been rude to about measurements. So if you want to feel bad about yourself, go ahead and try their custom dresses...

I have received 2 nice pieces ordering by standard sizing. When I ordered a custom dress, I was told that my measurments were "incorrect". I measured again, came up with the same measurments and was told again that the measurements are incorrect. *sigh*, they weren't incorrect, they were my measurments, gave up after the second attempt.

I have been disappointed many times by online shopping for clothing... I did not buy any more dress online. I gave a try at Eshakti after reading good reviews and I'm actually quite surprised! The parcel arrived on time, clothes properly wrapped, return label ready in case it's not the right size. The clothes look like on the pictures and I was surprised by the good quality of the fabric! I'll definitely order from them again!

I have ordered 6 (7? Maybe) custom dresses so far and only once did I have a problem. It was cut a bit to big but they did offer me a solution. Because I'm in Canada I don't have free returns, that's the only issue. Aside from that, measure carefully, maybe watch a quick tutorial for this, and you shouldn't have any issues. I always get the dresses with in the 8-15 day time frame, pay no extra duties or fees, and have not had any "funny business" on my credit cards after! Id say order well ahead of special occasions, at least a month, to allow for any issues. You never know, after all, but so far I've been okay. The fabric quality is always great, the sewing and styles are often better than expected!

I ordered a dress to wear to my sons wedding. After 2 weeks with no communication from eShakti I started calling. I was always promised a return email or phone call as soon as they could get info on it's status, but never heard back. So I called some more. As of today it is still in "processing". I cancelled it because the wedding is Saturday. I'm soooo disappointed!

I ordered a dress that showed a knee length hem. I paid for a custom sleeve and neckline. Dress arrives with a completely different hem line. Want to send it back to have another one properly made, but it is out of stock. I won't receive my full refund back as they do not credit back custom orders or gift coupons (my friend gave me a $50 coupon to use). "Refund in the original form of payment Refund of the item purchase price (adjusted with limited time promotion codes and/or gift coupons). Unfortunately, we cannot refund any customization fees or your original shipping charges." Tried emailing customer service and no one has responded. Don't bother.
Sorry to hear that you had a poor experience with us. We refund 100% of the amount paid when you opt for store credit or if the garment is faulty, due to eShakti errors. So in your case, we will definitely refund you the entire amount since the product was not what you had ordered. When i ordered 1st time back in April 2016, the dress was out class, service was superb, i ordered again with high expectations,... duuhh. The dresses was total disappointment... i returned all of them and order some other dresses... servise was poor, order was late. One of them came out good but 2nd one just decolorized from several spots. Wont order again.

I placed a sizable order which was cancelled by eShakti over a week after it was placed. They did not contact me and only partially refunded me. This all goes against their own company policy, as stated on their website.
Attempts to contact them and recover the remainder of the order value have so far been frustrating and futile.

I've only ordered one dress on there, but it's well made and fits like a glove. I used the customization option with my measurements.

I do need to go a size up from what I am used to but I have had nothing but positive experiences with ordering. I have ordered 10 dresses so far and they have been great. They even gave me a return of some money because the order was going to take longer than promised. Win win

I ordered a dress, specifically to my measurements and when it came I could barely get it over my arms and the waist was at least three sizes too small. The fabric is definitely a lot lower quality than what's implied in the pictures or description and not all customizations (pockets, sleeve length, collar) come through.
Jessica, please write to us on [email protected] and we can have this garment remade for you after examining where we have gone wrong. It is true that once a customer gives us their measurements, we do guarantee a perfect fit. But occasionally, we do get it wrong the first time, and are happy to remake it till we get it right. Initially, I loved Eshakti 2 years ago. However, the quality and consistency of fit has deteriorated while the prices have crept up. I also agree with reviews that speak to the misleading website promotions. There is something dishonest about the sales and advertising. This is frustrating and a shame because the basic concept is good. My dresses from 2 years ago are wonderful. This year's dresses are mediocre at best and not worth the price. Eshakti is shooting itself in the foot.

Website and app. Very misleading when it comes to price and applying discounts. Rather than helping resolve problems they give a run around. Stick to the mall or a seamstress that you can talk to. Eshakti will not help when a problem arises, just gives you empty answers.

I placed my order with eShakti on the 28th of November. The order was picked up by the shipping company on December 9th. I received an email with the DHL tracking number and the shipment was pending clearance at customs in India for 11 days, from the 10th till the 21st.
I ordered 5 dresses for me to wear over the holidays and 2 dresses for my sister and was hoping to have them under the tree at Christmas. According to the company's shipping information states that once my order was confirmed it would take 10-14 calendar days for me to receive my shipment.
I have contacted them several times with the status updates I receive from DHL and was assured I would receive them by the 23rd. The 2 dresses that are most important to me are the ones I want to give my sister for Christmas. The package has now left customs and is in another place in India. It is the morning of the 21st and I have 2 days to receive it in time. Somehow I doubt that will happen.
My opinion for the delay... They could not pay their customs broker. They had more product and only "x" amount of money to broker the items to leave the country.
Regardless of the delay I will buy from them again but maybe not around "high season" shipping dates. I have purchased from them once before and the quality of the material, the styles and flexibility to change sleeves, necklines and length of dresses and of course the price... still make for an attractive product.

Horrible company, terrible customer service, and I am not convinced that it is not a scam company or cover for some kind of illegal venture. I ordered my stuff more than a month in advance, informed them that I needed it by a certain date, and was reassured that my order would arrive in time. Now we're three days past the arrival date and my package has not even left india - it's been sitting in customs for five days. DHL has said that the customs delay has occurred because Indian customs is not allowing eShakti to export anything, for an unknown reason. I cannot get any answer about what is happening out of the company, despite numerous emails and chats. Nobody has even apologised to me. A perusal of other review sites reveals many allegations that eshakti buys fake good reviews and spreads them across the internet, and may be deleting or disputing bad reviews. Unfortunately, they got me.
I saved up and went without so that I could buy those dresses for an event, and now I am having to scrounge to find and afford replacement garments, because my package is clearly not going to arrive in time, if it ever arrives at all. Avoid this horrible company, and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.

I've never had any problem with customization, returns, or any aspect of customer service. My closet is filled with eShakti dresses--don't know what I'd do without them. I do size up when I order.

Answer: I have been ordering the standard sizes and they are true to the measurements posted. No matter what you put in your height, so the length is always spot on.
Answer: Purchase a dress that is made with the knit fabric. It is flexible and much more loose feeling than the other fabrics. If you do decide to add inches to the measurement, I recommend only adding 1-2 inches AND only add those inches where you like it loser. For example, measure your arms true to size unless you like it a bit lose. Measure your waist true to size unless that is where you like it a bit lose. But honestly, I think you will find the knit dresses to be the best if you dislike tight fitting clothing! I also am not a fan and those are the dresses I wear most often! I have bought other styles, so I have other fabrics to compare it to.

Even adding a deisgn I requested to Fabric Customisation. Winning! I have only had to return 1 dress and it was easy and I got a full refund.
