Eshakti has beautiful, quality dresses. Ignore reviews that say this is a scam site. One person's bad experience does not make anything a scam. I love eshakti because I am always looking for modest clothing - longer sleeves, higher necklines, longer lengths. I love that customization makes most dresses work for a flat fee of 9.95. The overall price of their clothes is on par with any quality dress store these days. However, the wait is the downside, but preparation can help you avoid disappointment! Most of the reviews will complain about a longer wait time. I too experienced this. The site says 10-14 days, and eshakti should probably just update that estimate and avoid ticking people off. The reality is eshakti allows for customization which takes time. Normal shipping time for online orders typically say 7-10 business days so my view is that 10-14 days for largely customized orders is a bit lofty, and I think this is what folks are experiencing. Point is: Great quality. Beautiful dresses that can be customized. A wide range of sizes. This site really is awesome, but you will sometimes wait longer than expected. It's definitely a bummer to order something and expect it to arrive for a specific occasion (happened with my Easter dress, but I thankfully found the most beautiful alternative at Dress Barn), but just think practically: Beautiful customized clothing may sometimes take longer than 10-14 days to arrive, and I would be skeptical if it came to much earlier than 10 days so I was not surprised when I got an email saying my dress was delayed. I did get the $10 coupon off my next order so for me that made of for it. Admittedly, I might be less forgiving if I hadn't been able to find an alternative to wear for Easter. As of yesterday, my "Easter" dress shipped. If you are eyeing something on this site, order at least 4 weeks in advance of the date you need it - that is allow another 14 days in addition to the original 10-14 estimated by the site. You may not need the additional time, but in case you do, you are okay. It does take long sometimes, not always, but you will always be very happy with the result.

I ordered a dress that had good reviews on the eshakti site. I carefully measured myself and expected this custom tailored dress. It arrived and it was enormous and hideous. It had to be 2 or 3 sizes too large. It was supposed to be very fitted. It looked like a huge, frumpy bag.
I contacted their customer service and returned the dress for credit, but when I went to use my credit, they wouldn't let me use a coupon code at the same time. So while I was risking $30 on a dress the first time, they said my credit was the same as a coupon, so I had to pay full price for the second dress. I ended up speaking to a manager who straightened it out, but I still had to spend more for the second dress because it wasn't valid for the first time customer discount that I received the first time.
The second dress, which I didn't bother having custom sized, was still made with stiff, uncomfortable fabric. I ordered a wrap dress so that the size wouldn't be an issue. I still regret ever trying to buy anything from eshakti. It was just a terrible experience for a really subpar dress.

I placed an order on 4-1-17 and anticipated a timely shipment (before Easter). I received an email on 4-11-17 stating that the order was delayed due to "increased volumes". I tried to call and cancel the order but their system will only allow you to leave a message. Customers are apparantly not allow to speak with an actual person!

I have purchased quite a few dresses from eShakti and have always been impressed by the quality. However, recent shipping times make me question whether or not I will order from them again. I placed an order on 3/21 and it still has not been shipped. I reached out to their customer service and they told me they would "prioritize" my order but it still has not been shipped. At this point, the total waiting for my order will probably be over a month.

To sum up, eShakti makes some beautiful quality dresses for a great price, but if you have an event coming up in the next month or two I would look elsewhere.

The actual dresses I ordered were nice enough when I finally received them, but after the package was very late and eShakti had never (still has never!) responded to my email concerns about it, I was not very happy. On top of that, I got charged a $20 delivery fee that I wasn't expecting and had never gotten from other companies, so overall I will not be ordering from there again. It's a shame since the dresses were nice enough to make me a repeat customer, but zero customer service and a flat out lie of a shipping date is just too sketchy.

However, we have since enhanced our facilities and are able to delivery on our timelines very soon. Please do give us another chance to redeem ourselves. UPDATE 4.24... Well the dress is still not here.
My email confirmation from 4/17 stated it shipped with a delivery date of 4/21, however DHL stated it shipped on 4/19 with delivery on 4/24. The dress sat in customs with a clearance issue until 4/24. And is just now moving. But there is no delivery date. I called 3 times last week with only the option to leave a message and I sent an email. So here we still wait for the dress that was ordered on 3/31.
So I ordered my dress on 3/31 and on 4/3 I received and email asking to confirm some measurements. So I did and was advised I would receive my dress on 4/24. I was not happy but okay with the new date. The entire time the delivery date in my account information says 4/12. On 4/11 I received and email with a $10 coupon that my dress would be about a week late. So I called 4/12 to ask is it a week from 4/11 or 4/24. The rep did not know, said that she would send a note to someone and ask and I should call today to follow up. Well I have tried 3 times each getting a voicemail to leave a message. Here's the thing, this dress is for the Kentucky Derby, I have purchased a $150 hat to match and shoes. The Derby is May 6 and I will be traveling May 4, so I will need the dress by May 3rd.

4/14/17 Since I hardly take the time to write reviews unless it's something I'm very passionate about, I thought it only fair to give an updated review. Well, EShakti came through for me! To my pleasant surprise, the doorbell rang today with a package from EShakti! They were able to get my dress to me in time for Easter! The dress is beautiful! I applaud EShakti for their excellent customer service! They are indeed working to manage the uptick in sales.

I have been an Eshakti customer for approximately 2 1/2 years. Every garment is quality and made exceptionally. I will caution to give your exact measurements when you order instead of just picking a size so the garment will be perfectly fitted for you. Here's where my disappointment comes in: Eshakti has become more popular, their sales have increased, however, they have not increased their labor to keep up with the demand. I ordered 2 dresses in February, 1 for my birthday at the end of the month and it took over 3 weeks for the dresses to arrive. Fortunately I ordered early enough in the month to compensate for this. For the order in February they sent a scarf as a apology (geez). Fast forward to March, I ordered 2 dresses March 31 to have them in time for Easter (Eshakti states orders will arrive in 10 - 14 days). I received an email today, 4/11/17 from Eshakti stating that due to overwhelming orders they will be 1 week late with the delivery and they're going to include a $10 coupon for the inconvenience. Wow! What are all the ladies supposed to do who ordered dresses for Easter Eshakti?! Ladies make sure you give yourself at least a month to receive your order...

I have to say their customer service is on the ball. They responded immediately to me after leaving this review and I am happy to see that everything says that it is shipped as of yesterday. I am hopeful to get it by Saturday. Thank you!

I am thoroughly disappointed. My daughters and I ordered a total of six dresses that we needed by April 15. We all got emails today saying that they had too many orders and so that our dresses wouldn't be shipped for at least another week. We were given a $10 coupon for our troubles. $10 is not going to buy a dress for me to have on the day that I need it. I feel stupid that I trusted the company to ship me something and have it arrive on time.

Do not order from this company. I ordered a dress and they took my money right away, by I didn't receive my stuff until a month later! They never answer the phone or reply! I finally got a response saying they would send a coupon as an apology for the delay but I didn't get anything! Don't waste your money or time

I have ordered 3 dresses from here, all completely custom, all with extra requests, and all came exactly as specified. The fabric is both sturdy and soft, lending its credentials that it is high quality and expertly executed into dresses of divine beauty. Customer service was superb, even accomadating a desire after the order had been placed. Communication and updating were great. Shipping was all accomplished within the 14 day window that they advertised, except 1 dress arrived 1 dat late, but this was due to severe weather in my area. I will be ordering more dresses in time.

I have not had a bad experience with eshakti. The dresses I have bought so far have all fitted well, are flattering and well made. I would definitely recommend them. Don't get hung up on the delivery date specified by their system. It will take a little longer than they say, but I've received all my purchases within a week of the date they said. For something so well made to my measurements, I'm prepared to wait!

The dresses are gorgeous no doubt, but I was duped by the reviews on their site (which I now know are clearly all positive and so do not tell the full story.
This is my very first on line shopping experience and I ordered three dresses a month before I needed them for back to back, very important and formal events. I felt confident that their 10-14 days delivery time was legit... Boy was I wrong. I have been getting the run a round ever since they emailed to say my dresses will not be ready on time because they are swamped (yeah right). My calls and messages are ignored. Only my emails are answered with dubious promises. Recently, I was told that my items were finally shipped but DHL has yet to provide the tracking number (sigh... who are they kidding). My events are a week away and I have lost all hope and faith in Eshakti.

I have been ordering clothes from Eshakti for 3 years and have loved everything so far.
I order a dress on 03/12/2017 for my party on April 1st.
I called on the 15th day(03/27)to ask if it was shipped. I was told it was shipped and would be there on Friday and to call back tomorrow for my tracking number.
I called (03/28) to ask again and was told the tracking number was not requested but she would follow up.
I recieved an email the following day(03/28).
It is now 03/30/17, the dress is in India. The party is in 2 days. I don't know when or if the dress will arrive but it will be returned and I will not shop here again. Unless somehow the dress magically appears tomorrow at my door from India to Wisconsin.

I work in a professional field and order at least one item of clothing a month from eShakti (usually dresses). I've only ever returned one item (a pair of crepe pants that, while they technically fit, where really unflattering on me). That return was easy with free shipping and everything but the customization fee refunded.

Everything I order else gets worn and washed regularly and I always get compliments on my wardrobe. I'm kind of an odd size (really broad shoulders and wide hips) and I've had trouble finding well-fitting clothing my entire adult life. It's such a relief to finally have a wardrobe that fits me and looks great. Also, pockets are amazing! I just wish they'd add pockets to the mid-thigh length shirts also. I often increase the length of shirts and wear them as tunics -- pockets in those would be amazing.

My original review was on on star, with a 'don't bother summary. Here's the original:
I spent HOURS selecting the dresses I wanted, the modifications I wanted. I carefully watched for new dresses. I sought opinions of friends. I talked to a prior eShakti customer. I read reviews. I finally ordered 2 dresses for a special occasion. I started getting excited about wearing dresses again. I've been eagerly watching the progress of my order. A full 10 days after my order was placed, suddenly I received an email 'confirming refund towards your cancellation.' I didn't cancel it, and there is no explanation as to why it was cancelled. SO disappointing. No response from customer service.

Update: Customer service reached out to me. I ended up placing another order for 2 different dresses, because I am a glutton for punishment. They were delayed by a week and I got a gift coupon for my trouble. The dresses came and they fit FABULOUSLY, and the quality was impressive for the price.

I ordered another dress. It was also delayed by a week. Once it came, I was again very impressed by the quality, especially for the price. My advice is to order at least a month ahead. It will be worth the wait. Also, if you don't know fabric terms, look them up. One dress was a 'jersey knit' which I didn't realize was tshirt material. Now I research each fabric.

I want to know why half of my order was suddenly cancelled. I did not cancel but I have an email stating "As per your instructions, we have processed a cash refund towards item cancellation. We confirm having refunded $45.85 to your account, on 3/17/2017." I NEVER GAVE ANY SUCH INSTRUCTIONS.
I had planned on wearing one to a wedding in May, good thing I ordered early, now I can go find another one from a place that wants my business.

The height customization seems to be for hem only, not waist (so if you are short or tall your waisted will either be below your breasts or sitting down by your hips). The sewing was good quality, the fabric was average to budget quality - not what I'd buy in a store for the same price. Not terrible, just not good. Concept is good, but we need someone else to do it well.

For torso customization, we do request customers to go in for custom sizing - where we take your measurements for High point shoulder to waist, High point shoulder to bust, High point shoulder to knee - these inputs give us the needed data to give the perfect fitting garment every time. I ordered two dresses putting in my own measurements, which I had from recently having a dress made by a professional seamstress locally. Measuring yourself is very tricky, which may explain some of the negative reviews here, but that's obviously not eShakthi's fault. One of the dresses was slightly delayed, but they gave me a pretty free hair tie as an apology, and the quality of both dresses was really amazing. They are wonderfully constructed and very flattering. There are a lot of things on the site that I think are pretty unfashionable and dowdy, but if you choose carefully and pay attention to your measurements and the information about the material, I think you'll have a good experience!
