My son received a V-Bucks gift card for Christmas. When he tried to add it to his game it said he had to go online to do it. He asked me to load the V-Bucks on his game so I went to the website to do so. As soon as I entered his age it said he needed parental permission to add the gift card. The site sent me an email. I filled everything out and it asked me to sign him up for a game he was already playing. When I entered my email to sign him up it stated that that email was already attached to an account and would not accept it. Then it locked him out of all Epic games on his X-Box. I contacted customer support and was told to formalize his account because he went through the x-box his account was "unnamed". After trying to formalize his account and that failing I sent another email to which the response was that I needed to create my son an email and use it to sign him up. Um, NO! No one should have to go through two days plus of dealing with customer support and having to create emails just so they can give money to a company. My son has purchased several V-Bucks packs with X-Box gift cards without having to deal with any of this crap. Because he tried to load a V-Bucks gift card now I have to create a new email and follow some stupid video or he looses his account? What company holds your account hostage when you are trying to give them money? They are just stupid.
On a positive note, the customer service rep was nice but company policies that she had to follow suck.
I rarely make accidental purchases and they always tell me about refund tokens. Which I have already used. (That being around 2019) Now in 2021, they're giving back one a year... How can a company expect us to only make 1 mistake a year? With no refund tokens and an accidental purchase I contact them and they tell me about the cancel purchase in the bottom right, if I had known what SHOULD HAVE been shown as soon as it was added I would have used it. Another complaint is that on console, in the locker, to view styles is X or Square. Now to view styles in the store it's X or A. Now I come back after chapter 2s hot mess and get used to the viewing styles in the locker and decide to take a look at skins styles in the item shop and out of habit pressing what SHOULD BE the view styles button I accidental purchase a stupid skin I do not want. The view styles button SHOULD NOT BE the same as the purchase button. And Epic support just tells me things I already know or tells me things that should have been announced in the game for a more clear understanding.
The game updates once a week so there is no chance of playing the game for someone that has limited time.
This is my first ever review. We purchased vbucks from my phone for my son's Fortnite account. Well, not redeemable on his nintendo switch (we had no idea). We contacted support within minutes of seeing that his Vbucks weren't there. Basically told, download it to a PC or let him play on your phone (iPhone does not support Fortnite) and he does not own a PC. I then asked for manager and they contact me and said they would he "at my disposal" but that I was basically SOL because I needed to read the product page. I replied and they had already closed the ticket not actually allowing a response. Please read the refund policy and product page before purchase, but I would advise to avoid. You would assume that it would go right to your player account that is created through Epic Games. No such luck. Only redeemable on the platform you purchase on. Parents beware! Horrible support and zero willingness to work with the customer. We are super bummed.
I am so unhappy with Epic Games. I will not be using them again. I purchase V-Bucks not knowing that if you purchase from Epic website that are not transferable to Nintendo or Playstation. I made the mistake of purchasing the v-bucks from Epic's website. They are not trying to refund the money. They are telling me that I would need to download the app on my mobile device or us a PC. My son does not have neither. He only have a Nintendo Switch. I have been told by customer service and the manager that I can not get a refund. Epic has lost a customer. My son got the Oculus Quest 2 today for Christmas and I will get him on that and hopefully he can forget about fortnite after experiencing a VR. Epic will not get any more of my money.

It will be so amzing if you can make stretch resolution be a thing agen. The time fornite had stretch resolution was so fun now its not so fun without stretch resolution i will be happy if you guys do that :)
I deleted fortnite on my android phone cause it would not load and tried to redownload it but I would not let me so I deleted epic games and it would not let me reinstall it and by the way this is after the Google fortnite ban
Takes around 25+ mins to load into the app on pc. Tried uninstalling and reinstall but the website is also super slow and the download link never pops up after clicking it
Bought battlefield, controllers are said to be supported but they arnt. Controllers work on everything else but they wont give a refund to a brokin game becasue i spent over 2 hours trying to fix what was wrong... thier game. Never using them again
The first game I have bought on Epic Games was Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Epic and Ubisoft aren't talking
5/5 due to the free games, fairly easy to use interface, but most importantly, I think it's great we have a somewhat major compititor to STEAM. STEAM might still be my main use, but that doesn't take anything away from Epic.

My son's account was hacked (fortnite). Good luck trying to get any type of resolution. They don't have a phone number. Their "support staff" did email us (my husband and I) multiple times with the same generic response "sorry we can't help due to suspicious activity" (well no duh) and "we are unable to do anything further due to you not being the creator of the account. We had over $600 wrapped up into this account. We have contacted the BBB who is still looking into it. We are taking them to small claims court but that will take foreverJust know if your account is ever hacked just kiss it good-bye.
They've block my IP for nothing and i can't even go on their site for the support, because my ip is blocked
Epic Games are so pathetic with their customer service. At the bottom of every email they put "If anything else comes up, please feel free to let us know. Remember that you're always welcome here, and we will always be happy to help." What a joke.
My 13 year old son's fortnite account got hacked. We obviously reported it with proof it was hacked and the hacker confirming this. At first Epic Games was so nice and said they will recover the account. We gave them everything they asked for and when my son logged back in an error message came up and said something about an IP address and my son clicked continue. Well it turned out the hacker installed a cheating program and now my son's account has been banned so he has lost everything he bought and the hours of playing to get to the level he was on. I tried to explain to Epic Games that my son did nothing wrong and they have the proof that the hacker said he will make sure my son never gets his account back but they are so heartless and just said sorry they can't unban the account and I should read the Code of Conduct. Now I have to tell my son "sorry buddy you did nothing wrong but sorry Epic Games don't want to help". So disappointed in your unfairness Epic Games. My son did nothing wrong. Shame on you!

Considering I have been through multiple issues on Fortnite and tried contacting support to never get any assistance, it leaves me amazed. Upon leaving a match of Fortnite and returning the Menu, somehow my account purchased a Big Mouth skin that I didn't even know was in the item shop and I had just enough V-bucks available to purchase leaves me stunned. Within 15minutes of the issue, I was speaking with their customer service, who after another 15 minutes finally informed me they could not assist. They even tried saying how they understand it can be hard to return to the Menu and basically tried blaming it on me. Just thought it was an easy fix on their end but apparently, nothing ever can be fixed by them.
Garbage service, they are ruining the marked industry for every gamer. Stay away, they will go bust shortly and all the exclusives will go back crawling to other similar platforms.
