Was doing fine and then my account was cancelled without my permission. They refunded me 79.20 and then wanted 191.68 to reinstate! Completely fraudulent invoices/billing with zero helpfulness through chat, email and phone. People barely speak english and are apparently trained to commit crimes against the public who have limited patience with the horrible support.
If you think you will get your money back you won't, they keep creating ticket after ticket but not actually doing anything, I agreed on a price for 3 years I paid through PayPal only to be told if I pay through PayPal I can't have the deal, so I said I would pay with a debit card and they said they would not process the PayPal payment. More fool me I should have seen this coming, both payments was taken in double quick time.
I have for asked to cancel this account and have a full refund of all the money they took from my account, but they start a ticket and then ignore me, probably be telling me I have gone over the 14 day refund time next.
WARNING! - You will regret dong ay business with these snakes. I was duped into a new domain while browsing names. Next thing I know, I get an email saying I've purchased one of the domain names I plugged in to check. Little did I know, they kept my bank card on file from a purchase months ago WITHOUT CONSENT!
I immediately sent an email saying I would overdraft if this went through. The reply I was sent said the domain name had not been activated but if I wanted to sign up, I could buy the 1-3yr plans.
My bank account had a pending transaction so I emailed again to make sure they were not charging me. The reply I was sent said they couldn't find my account. Even though I replied to the original email that had all of my information!
The charge wet through an I was fined $37 by my bank. After going through 4 different "customer service reps", three of whom could not understand what my issue was... or they just pretended not to, they wouldn't refund anything.
They lied multiple times, charged me without consent and I still have NO IDEA what it is I even "purchased" These people are snakes and scam artists! It is not the first time they have done this and I'm sure its not the last!
I ordered a 3 year plan to get a 50% discount. On submitting my payment by credit card, a window opened over the page stating the plan is for one month at 50% discount. The window only appeared for about 4 seconds and didn't give me any time to react. They then billed my card for one month ($6.99), and will now try to bill me next month at the regular monthly rate. No free domain name, and nothing mentioned about it in the welcome email. Fortunately my credit card is a prepaid one with no actual credit, so I am not stuck with them or having to argue with them. I will simply just abandon the account after the month is up and look elsewhere.
I signed up for service and paid for 4 years. After one year they billed me again and said I didn't sign up for 4 years. They also charged me extra for the domain name and email which was supposed to be included. Don't give them your credit card or they will add charges without your approval.
I can't even begin to express how horrible the support is at this company. Front end, things appear great until something happens and you need to attempt to solicit some level of support. Communication is lacking if it happens at all. Fixes never happen. I have requested someone to physically contact me due to the fact that I still cant get something resolved and they continue to hide behind cryptic emails, with no resolution in site. If there is any word of warning as it relates to doing business with eHost, it would be simple... DON'T!

What a horrible company. I signed up for 3 yrs only got 2, they blamed it on PayPal; then they said they cancelled it and didn't charge my PayPal but they lied because they did charge my PayPal and I had to file a unauthorization claim. Many more problems than I'm writing about, but I've wasted enough of my time. This company is either dishonest & fraudulent or extremely incompetent. BUYER BEWARE!
From the start, it a lemon deal and they have overcharged me!
I started a website with ehost with the intention of moving my website from another company. The prices I was quoted were reasonable, so I went through with it, paying with Paypal. That's when the problems begin. If you pay with paypal, it takes several days for them to give you access to anything, because they want to wait until they have verified the money was paid. So, there customer service said they would suspend the paypal transaction, and I could pay with my credit card. So, I then paid with my Amex card. They could not transfer my domain for reasons unknown, and said to start a new domain and link my old domain. Turns out when you do that, you don't get an email account unless you pay an extra $5 per month per account. Fast forward 3 days later, and they have charged both paypal and my AMEX card. In the meantime, several emails to customer service for help with email accounts and other things were acknowledged, but the problems not dealt with. I have requested a full refund.
I am going to tell you step by step.
1: you buy a domain from ehost and you will be charge by Billing with your credit card.
2: Just Check the domain that you buy with another Hosting service. Such as godaddy.com, you will get that the domain is still available for sale.
3. you are not able to do anything in your cPanel. They said to send us the Scan copy of your credit card and Passport.
'' Only the Government and security agencies have this right to ask these documents ''
4. You will ask to cancel the subscription and money back.
This is not possible. They scam you...
Solution: godaddy.com, 000webs.com, webs.com, weebly.com are trusted. I work with them.
I think this is helpful for you. I don't want you to be victim.
Say good bye to ehost.com scammers.
I was told I would receive a refund after finding their ftp services to be poorly configured and a waste of time. I am a software developer by the way - I have worked with numerous hosting providers during my career and never had as many issues. As a service it is restricted and will keep you from doing anything beyond initial setup. As a company they will charge in any crooked backwards way they can manage. Save yourself and benefit from my experience - your better off anywhere else.
I made the order with EHost.com and realised at the very end that by not clicking all the suggestions they were listing that I was adding them to my order... Instead to have a bill of $99 I had a bill of nearly $300. I only could visualise the final bill when I could not go back. It took less then 6 seconds to get my money but I am still fighting to cancel my order and to have a total refund. The staff I talked to was very understanding but could not do anything about it, he had to revert the issue to the accounting department, I only received an email from them one week later stating that because I profited from the domain hosting for a while(seconds?) they were retaining $15 and would not refund the full amount. Adding to this I started immediately to receive 50 plus unwanted emails in a daily basis offering finance, solar panels, sex enhancing products, Walmart, etc, etc. They used my email address immediately and I have to buy a filter to stop these unwanted emails. They have a dishonest website design themselves. I never had this experience before. They are thieves literally.
I have set up many websites and this was, without a doubt, THE WORST. Impossible to build a site. 3 year contract is hidden very well. Called Tech Support. The woman I talked to was thick as a brick. Part of my domain name was "safety". She could not find my domain. About 10 minutes later I spelled it for her. The reason she could not find it was because she couldn't spell "safety". She spelled it "safty". Millennial disease from a free pass through school. Next I talked to a man who could not speak English any better than I speak Russian. Then had to beg for 15 minutes to get my $99 back. After holding again and 2 more transfers, they said they would refund it, but I'll wait and see. They took it out of my account in about 6 seconds. Just stay away from this company. Also, they have about 15 shill "review" sites above this site on Google that all give them 5 stars. Crooks!
When I was hosted with Wix my website was indexed well with Google. When I switched to eHost I lost all of my ranking and could not get indexed. The service is terrible and the customer service is even worse. I signed up for and paid for a year of hosting and got a free domain. I want to swtich back to Wix so my site will actually achieve something. EHost tells me that I must pay an additional $15.00 to transfer my domain since they will no longer be hosting it. Stay away from eHost. It is absolutely the most aweful company I have ever dealt with! Ugh!
This is clearly an internet fraud! All they do is to steal the first payment from you + refund is never possible. Plus the risk of stealing your credit card / personal info.
Ordered a domain from this web site. Once the payment and registration is done. I check from other domain checker, the domain name i have just BOUGHT. Is still available!.
When i logon to the admin console, i cannot do anything unless i have confirmed my account, which is to email them the photo copy of my personal ID and credit card...
I requested for an order cancellation + refund, but you should know. This will never happen.
I thought I was making a site and webpage to help other Veterans in my area. NOT.
Not only was this site slow, but when I asked about for billing, I was led on chase to cancel the account. I finally got mad after about an hour on chat with Raksha A. And told her I filed a complaint with my Pay Pal. I was to be charged only $6.99 per month, but after 2 months, the charges were double; $13.98.
On the chat to cancel, they kept asking me for a "Ticket Number" on my email. I said look, you don't get a "ticket number" when you send emails. WTH! Stupid bastards. I must be the stupid one though, because I never saw this unethical bs coming from a mile away; nor did I see this wonderful site.
I HATE THIS COMPANY!
I ordered hosting on a monthly basis to test their server performance and it took me less than a week to figure out it sucked big time! Constant sql server outages... slow slow loadtime... awful. I asked them for cancelation - not a refund, since in their user interface there is no option to cancel. But they keep ignoring every single ticket, email and keep charging me every month. That is a PURE THEFT! Stay away from them
I don't understand this company. I paid for service through Paypal but Paypal had a delay in processing. So I canceled the PayPal charge through E-host and gave them my credit card number directly. The lady guaranteed me that she canceled the Paypal charge and that I would only be charged on my credit card. She ASSURED me that I wouldn't be double charged. One week later, guess who double charged me. I called and finally was able to talk to a manager who said she would refund my paypal account. One week later, I receive my refund and tried to go to my website and it was CANCELED. I do not understand why it is difficult for them to understand that they were only suppose to charge me once. I still am suppose to have a website because I paid for it and now I have to wait till the billing office opens up so I ask the to put my site back up. I do not recommend this company. It is too much of a hassle to get them to understand SIMPLE billing. I gave them 2 stars only because they are friendly.
Just don't use them! They WILL steal money from your credit or debit card. There is no way to contact them from the UK. The number is bogus. They stole £164 from me!
Dialogue takes places with technical support within around 24 hours, however, every attempt to contact billing goes unanswered. Four days later after dozens of attempts to contact billing, I finally receive a reply saying that my money is being refunded (it hasn't) and furthermore they have suspended access to the account and I have lost hours of web development work. Ehost has an address registered in the USA, however, I believe they operate from the Philippines. What a dreadful way to run a business.
