I bought a Blackberry 9900 battery on 9th July'15 and the battery simply stopped charging within 3 weeks. Customer service reply: No warranty on accessories.

Worse: You are not allowed to write facts in the product review - if you write anything negative about the product, you will be told that the review is not acceptable as it does not meet Souq.com review guidelines! It can't get worse.

Advice to everyone: Please do not fall for the Souq.com cheats

Souq.com is a wrost site for any purchase. If you make any bad review and single star for the product then they never publish it. Souq.com only publish good reviews and posts. POOR customer support & waste services.

Never going to buy any thing from Souq.com again and suggest be careful when buying from Souq.com.

I purchased a Lenovo G4070 Intel core i3 laptop on this web-site.

The delivery was super fast - from UAE to Qatar in less than 3 days.

When I received the laptop it was well packed. Started the machine and it took like half day to finish initial installation. They I tried to use some of the applications and programs. The laptop was constantly freezing and hanging, the mouse becomes unresponsive frequently. It seemed like I've been using an old laptop in a new cover. I am sure that was the case. That's probably is the reason why they didn't list all the specs of the laptop on the web-page. Scam. Not buying any more staff on this web-site.

The worst service
July 30, 2015

I has ordered Iphone 6, I was awaiting 5 days, after my call, delivery was confirmed at 13.00pm And NOTHING! I called again and operator advised me to pick up from the store and asked my location for delivery! If I want, I was shocked. I paid for delivery I was awaiting.
My friend ordered perfume, lipstick, cream and watch in one order, lipstick was delivered alone, perfume was delivered after 4 days alone and courier was asking to pay for delivery for each items! Shame, Souq.com it is a shame company

I made the mistake of buying from www.souq.com using my credit card. The card was immediately charged, but the delivery took 8 days despite paying shipping charges separately. Once the delivery was made, it was not what I ordered. They delivered a different product which is listed elsewhere in their site for almost half the price of what I paid for.

When I asked the delivery guy to take it back, he refused saying that I have contact the company. When I contacted them for return, they said they will take 3-4 working days to collect the item and another 2 working days to process the refund.

I am stuck with a merchandise that I cannot use, and out of money now, purely at their mercy!

This would NOT have happened if I had used the "Cash Against Delivery" option, because in that case I would not have paid the guy and returned the merchandise upon delivery.

NEVER NEVER buy using Credit Card!

Worst experience
July 20, 2015

I ordered a Led TV on 4th July and called in specifically to request for them to deliver it on the next Saturday. However, the driver called in Sunday, Monday and Tuesday stating that he was at the flat for delivery. I had tot ell him everyday that I requested for delivery on Saturday. Finally he did not come anymore. On Saturday morning I called customer service to make sure that the delivery would come on that day. The first person confirmed that it would and that I should receive a text message before noon confirming that. Nothing. I called again at 12:30 asking what was happening and someone else said "No it will come tomorrow.". He refused to put me through to a manager, and simply was saying "I will escalate it, and a manager will call you before 30min". No call after 1h, so I called back to speak to someone else who once again said the same thing. He added "the manager is dealing with 400 other similar complaints madam, he is busy". I asked to have his direct email, which was once again refused. The last person I spoke to told me the delivery would be an emergency one and I would have the TV in the evening. At 9PM I still had nothing so I called and they said it will come on Monday evening. I call on Monday because I did not receive any text message saying anything, and demanded that they cancel this order and refund me because it was driving me crazy that such a simple thing was being made into something so complicated. I was promised a refund with 48h. After 2 days I still had nothing, and the status of the order was not even changed online. I am still waiting for this refund today.
All this to say that I spoke to over 10 different people and all were ridiculously lousy at their job. They could not answer the simplest questions, but funnily enough some were brutally honest. When I first called asking why I did not get my refund, the lady on the line said she would put it through and cancel my order (obviously not done yet) and I asked "So you will not actually refund anything when cancelling the order until the customer calls and screams?", she simply answered "Yes.". In the end this made me laugh, but I highly recommend NEVER using souq.com for an orders.

There is no warranty on souq.com products, I had send a TV back for warranty claim, Souq.com cracked my tv screen and send it back and they deny it saying warranty is not valid. How i wish i could sue the concerned people. Also they are very smart there is no actual bill or warranty card that you get from them. I learnt a lesson after buying 11 items from them, although i found a two of them defective before i didnt complain thinking it could happen since one was a kids toy and other was a sunglass. As a matter of fact the souq.com delivery guys themselves claim that souq.com delivers duplicate products and they are regularly taking products back from customers rather than delivering

(UAE) Worst. Company. Ever. Their "customer service" is appalling. I had ordered a bunch of phone accessories (adding up to a couple of hundreds) and at the checkout, I ticked the box for evening delivery because I work and I don't come home till late. The first time I received a text that my shipment was out for delivery, was early in the morning. I called Souq up and was told that they don't have evening delivery and that I would have to be at home during the day and when I explained that was not possible, the agent told me that he would speak to his manager and get back to me. Was I supposed to take a day off for this? Pffft. Never got a call from anyone. I kept receiving alerts that the shipment was out for delivery and I kept calling them to understand what was going on. I'm not sure why I bothered. I got hung up on once, another agent told me that they did in fact have an evening delivery service (set it up but never showed), another agent told me to call the delivery guy and set an appointment! Are you serious? I finally called and cancelled and the idiot I spoke to responded with a "Great. Goodbye." No apologies. Just a give a damn approach. Pathetic. I hope you continue to lose more and more business till you just bite the dust.

I bought make up from Souq.com egypt but my issue with Souq.com was not the price, I waited for 2 weeks to come, I called them they told me i'll have it in 48 hours after all of this i found out the order was cancelled & they told me that they can't do anything about it!
I Will never Buy from them ever again.

I ordered 2 mobile phones. Galaxy s5 and galaxy note edge. Its been 14 days now n yet no delivery. I wrote them several email yet none has been replied to except for the automated reply. This is b***sh**.
Several call attempts are just plain waste of time. And the call centre people are stupid and annoying. They say that they dont have the color i ordered for but they refuse to send another color phone which they claim they have. And the worst part is i have paid via credit card.

They advertised as free return if you don't like the item, but when you request to return the item they are just sending you to Q express courier and from there again to souq.com, its around 10 days I request return!

I never ever write any reviews but for this one I had to... The worse online purchase website - first if you don't read their terms and conditions then you are in big trouble and once you so you wouldn't want to buy their products anymore. Their items are fake although they claim it's real and with original packaging but they are not and of they are then they have a default. We bought a tv from them and when the driver came to deliver he said he had to leave really fast, when we opened the box and installed the tv we saw that the tv was broken from the inside and when we called them they said driver will come back to pick up the tv and then they get back to ya after three weeks saying the tv broke at our house! Such liars and till now we didn't get our money nor the broken tv back cause they probably went to sell it to someone else. I'm just surprised how they are still getting away with all the problems and ripping off they are making customers deal with. Please just read terms and conditions and never pay with your credit card just go with pay upon delivery and when they do deliver make sure the driver installs whatever it is for u himself and video tape the whole process or they will all team up against you and lie!

Why would you people even risk on using your credit cards on an online web site? Also, why risk buying such expensive electronic items online?
I feel that they arent great for their online but other stuff like makeup/lipbalms they are good:)

I buy new product from www, souq.com. Product sensor is not working from starting i complained for return. They didnt get any response from souq after two days i get mail your ticket is closed. Hardly they came after 10 days then they told your product is on warranty now i call every two days. They told me you r on follow up. Now its going to one month. I never seen like this type of service before.

It went downhill

I wrote previous review about souq.com that was mostly positive but after multiple negative experiences with them by me and most of my family I decided to warn people here. Souq does not provide protection for the consumers. We ordered many lipsticks from different sellers and go shipped random products with different colors than what we ordered. Souq refuses to give you a cash refund even though they say they do in the website. Their reply is extremely late and they DO NOT LET YOU WRITE A NEGATIVE REVIEW on the sellers page... only the positive reviews are posted. We decided to decrease our dealing with this website until they learn to respect the right of the consumers

I purchased an iphone 5 from this guys as "NEW" just found out that it was refurbished one and used... NEVER AGAIN. See the picture for the details.
My phone doesn't work properly keeps on cutting the line, the battery last for maybe two hours or even less some time... SHAME ON THEM.

Watch out guys don't you buy anything from them

I had purchased one laptop from Souq.com (Order No. **************) on 19-Aug-2014. Specification was slightly different from what they had shown on their website. Hence, as per Souq's 3 days return policy, I requested for return, just next day of delivery. I ordered another laptop from souq after paying again (thought that souq is a reputed company and would honor its return policy).
First of all, they took almost one month to collect the laptop even after calling several times (almost 7 times). After collection the laptop, I didn't receive refund for even one month. When I called souq.com, they said, laptop is not received by seller. Then, I gave all AWB nos. And they checked several times and finally agreed, that laptop was received.
Still I didn't receive refund after 7 months. I called many times and filed complains through their website. They said that payment is done to seller by mistake and they are trying to contact seller.
Since, last seven months, they are providing same reply on several phone calls and emails. All the times, when I call, they say that their person will come back and they never call again and even doesn't reply to the emails now.
Three months back, I discussed with one senior person Mr. Abdul Raafey (critical Complain Dept). He registered the complain as critical (Ticket no: *******) but after 3months, souq is not able to solve their critical complain.
I had bought many things earlier through souq.com but first time when its time to return, they are not respecting their own policy of return. I have wasted too much time in last seven months for calling and mailing souq.com, but they don't even care about customers.
This is really very disappointing service. Request you all to think twice before purchasing souq.com.
I am planning to go to consumer court now. If anybody wants to join me (as I have seen on websites many people suffering through souq), please contact me through email at *******@gmail.com.
