I bough a $300 textbook for my son. IT came with a 7-day online access. THe book still hasn't been shipped 3 weeks later and his online access has expired. No one would help me.
I made two separate attempts to order three different books; each order was a total of $159.84. I did accidentally place these orders from different accounts, my school account and my personal account. Which is really aside from the point. I will start with the problems from this particular order. I had reached out to customer service, to ask for an estimated shipping date for my books and I was told that it could be an additional 3-5 business day just for ecampus.com to receive the books themselves, so obviously it would be at the VERY least an additional 3-5 business days after that, for me to get the books that I paid an extra $12.50 for expedited shipping for too btw. So this order was cancelled. Now, that was the second attempt... the first attempt occurred just over a week before this. Less than 24 hours after I placed my order, received confirmation, and the $159.84 was taken out of my bank account, ecampus.com sent me an email stating my order had been cancelled. That's odd... I wonder why? Well, they can't exactly tell me why... just that their system recognized "irregularites" in my payment information. Irregularities that they could not identify, or contact me about to resolve. So when I went to check the shipping status of my second order, that was placed as soon as the first one was cancelled... I realized that I had not received a confirmation for my refund for the initial order. So, I check, and the status next to my order says "Cancelled - refund failed, contact Customer Service". Well, that's odd... I contacted customer service, because of course, no one could be bothered to reach out and tell me that they were not refunding my order to the original method of payment. Customer service tells me they have to send me a check, and they are sent out on Thursdays. Today, I received my check, and this is the first time I have been happy throughout this entire experience because this was actually quick! Yeah. That didn't last long. They didn't provide me with a full refund. I spoke with three different customer service reps about this refund, and NOT ONE of them could be bothered to actually refund the ENTIRE order. They only refunded two of the three books. So now, three weeks into the fall semester, and I still don't have all the books I need for my class. This joke of a company gladly took my money, TWICE, and has left me with absolutely no money, and no way to afford to pay for my books because they couldn't just refund the entire cancelled order. Make this make sense... I HAD to reach out to THEM to get them to send me my refund check. They do NOT automatically issue refund checks for cancelled orders. WHAT REPUTABLE BUSINESS would do that? NONE. This company only cares about the money; even the "empathetic" scripted customer service responses are a joke. They don't even come across as giving a $#*!. They are clearly provided with a very clear script that they are not to go off of, and it's three different "I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you" and no other possible response. It honestly sounds like you're talking to a Bot. If you aren't going to be a decent and honest company, at least provide your employees with a better script so they sound like they actually care, because this is a joke. This company is a scam; they are trying every way they can to take your money and give you nothing. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Many better companies sell used books out there. Don't risk it. If i would have read some of the reviews before trying to order from here, I never would have ordered in the first place. They have made a habit of STEALING from their customers and ripping them off.
I was already late ordering my books, I was not even given access to the digital book that I purchased despite the fact that digital orders are supposed to be available withing a few hours of purchasing. 24 hours after my order was confirmed, I received an email stating that there were "irregularities" in my payment information. Customer service was not able to provide me with the details regarding the irregularities just recommended that I placed the order again. I was give $5 off my next order, unfortunately the rewards are not able to be combined with the promotional codes and if I would have redeemed the $5 off I would have ended up paying more than the original order. Thanks for that.

Paid for the book, got a note that it was no longer available three days later. Very disappointing.

I placed this order previously and you decided to cancel it without calling me. Said it looked odd. I am a grandmother buying my granddaughters college books. She is in dire need of this and you delayed longer. Now I placed the order again. And I have to pay more to get it there faster.

My first book was canceled and now my daughter will not receive the book in time. I asked for rushed free shipping and they said they couldn't do that, so I had to pay extra to get it there in 2-days.

Last time I ordered it was super easy and simple to use if you know what your looking for. I was able to copy and paste the books I needed for my classes and it shows all the options as well as editions. The books are fairly priced compared to other websites.

Answer: Ecampus.com does not honor their payout times. I've been waiting 8 weeks now and still have not received payment. They also do not honor the method of payment you choose. I chose direct deposit to ensure fast delivery of the payment. They instead have decided to mail me a check, which I still have not received. Do not sell your used textbooks to ecampus.com if you actually want to receive reimbursement for them.
