I never received my rental. And when I contacted them they stated I will be responsible for the book still. So now I do not have the textbook and I am going to have to pay full price unless I file a police report.

I sold a textbook to ecampus.com through their buyback program. I shipped it back to them promptly and UPS confirmed the book was delivered to ecampus in December of 2023. Payment for the buyback was to be provided via direct deposit within 2-4 weeks; this information was provided in an email. Ecampus.com has now had my textbook for more than 8 weeks and I still have not received payment. I have repeatedly contacted them through phone calls and emails and have been provided contradictory information as to what is going on. First they claimed it was sitting in their warehouse and hadn't been processed, then they claimed they never received it, then they claimed it had finally been processed. Then they claimed the original time frame for payment that I was provided in written form was inaccurate and that the new time frame was now 4-6 weeks. No additional reimbursement for the delays have been provided despite the repeated issues and per an ecampus.com employee, I will not be receiving direct deposit payment due to "bureaucracy issues" within the company, I will have to now wait an additional undetermined amount of time to receive a check in the mail. Their customer service is abysmal and they do not honor their end of the agreement (i.e., the method of payment delivery and the time frame for paying you). Do not sell your textbooks to this company if you actually want to receive payment for them.

The book I ordered took a minute to get delivered but it was communicated with me so there were no surprises.
I paid extra for 1-5 day shipping. I placed my order on January 31st, and as of February 12th, my book wasn't even shipped! I had to cancel, and now I'm still waiting for my refund. If it weren't for someone in my study group sharing pictures of the lab book assignments I've needed, my grades would be suffering. This site is pathetic.
I purchased a textbook on 1/16 and it arrived on Feb.12. This is unacceptable for a site with thousands of daily transactions. Moreover, they do not allow a full refund and charge a shipping fee back for 25% of my price. I can just straight-up ship it back myself and costs less. This is unacceptable.
The book is clean and much better kept then my school's rentals.
I ordered two text books. Never received the books and instead got a box full of random pamphlets. Obviously a scam. Customer service said they stand by the carrier so no refund I guess. DON'T BUY FROM HERE.
As soon as I was aware of the text needed for my class, I scoured the internet looking for someone that could get me the text I needed in time for my class or at least as close as possible. I found eCampus and according to the site, my book would be sent in time. I even paid for express delivery. I ordered my book NEW and waited. To my dismay, the book arrived 2 weeks after my class had started and it was NOT new. There were pen markings/notes in one of the chapters. I had to argue to get my express delivery payment refunded since the book was not delivered via over night. I will NEVER order from this site again nor will I ever recommend this site to anyone. OH! And all customer service is done via chat. You cannot speak to a person. No one picks up the phone. Just HORRIBLE service.
The textbook was very reasonably priced, arrived quickly and in even better condition than I expected!

I get confused on rentals because I think its for a semester then you get a refund but its not. You only get a refund if you return it after a certain amount of days.
I ordered a book that was not in stock, but was not aware of that. I paid for 2 day shipping but the book wasn't even in stock for another 8 days. Communication needs to be more clear from the beginning!

Answer: Ecampus.com does not honor their payout times. I've been waiting 8 weeks now and still have not received payment. They also do not honor the method of payment you choose. I chose direct deposit to ensure fast delivery of the payment. They instead have decided to mail me a check, which I still have not received. Do not sell your used textbooks to ecampus.com if you actually want to receive reimbursement for them.
