Customer service is rude, not willing to resolve problems and tell you off. They suspended my account for no reason. I tried to login from another country, then they said it wasn't me (of course I knew it was me), and they say they refuse to reinstate my account and refused to provide feedback or help reinstate it after wanting to prove that the account belongs to me. When I want to speak to their managers, they hand up on me! If you did this at Amazon for example, they would almost beg you to stay with them and sell on their platform, but Ebay is pushing its customers, users and sellers away, and don't value them at all! Management should really take this seriously and take further actions, as this will not end well and people will turn away from ebay on the longer term... My suggestion is for other users, sellers, etc. is to try alternative platforms where they love to have you! Ebay does not value it's customers and sellers, so be prepared when you deal with Ebay...
I purchased an item & returned it with tracking, Ebay says no refund coming, because of seller sending wrong item. They say it's my fault that the seller sent wrong item. My advise stay away so far E Bay has stolen $90.00 from me with no recourse. Uncaring, corrupt, company.
Had a ebay buyer claim that a item was damaged in shipping. The only problem was that this customer sent pictures of the damaged item. It was a 40s art deco TV lamp. The scammer sent pictures. It was a used lamp and had a chip on the back of the item. The item that they sent pictures of miraculously had no chip. Ebay never responded to my complaint. After two months I confronted ebay. There response was "So what".
Ebay refused to refund any of the $$$ I lost and refused to refund any of the shipping charges. They even refused to close my store till I pay for shipping the item to one of their scammers. AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. IF YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED TO LOOSE $$. For me it was $250.00
Sometimes you cannot know in what state the product you are buying is. Scammers very well to hide features, so your protection is to buy on eBay from a normal store by checking their reviews and be able to return the item and other, and the other way to protect yourself is ordering by PayPal and not bank card.

I contact eBay to help me with the messages. EBay agent are really nice and provide a great communication service with me. It was a great and professional. That is reason why I still love to shopping on eBay.

I have a bad and good experience from eBay. And conclusion is, Be aware of scamers and enjoy to buy.
Ebay is a large online shop which works and ships worldwide. The goods sold are of different usefulness, sizes, kinds. You choose whatever you want, what colour you want and you get it within 45days usually. And sometimes even when you don't get the ordered product on time, you receive your money back. In Armenia it is very convinient to shop from Ebay, as it is cheaper for us, because in our country many things are more expensive than in Ebay.

Upon becoming an EBay seller, I learned it's darker side. You are given a mandatory hold on funds made for sales. The hold may be shortened with package tracking info. Your funds are handled by PayPal if your not a buisness or have other means. PayPal also puts a hold and an initiation for you to pass. My funds started to become available a few days after the first package had gotten to the recipient. I made a couple of orders on EBay and immediately my funds were put on hold again. I cancelled one order before this and was due a refund they locked my account so I could not get the refund nor the product. The other order is just hanging there processing and the funds out of my account. They will not refund me. I still cannot get my money. On top of this PayPal says it's EBay, EBay says it's Paypal.
As a Seller you have no rights and that expose you to the moral and financial damages. They do not care if you have been victim of SCAM buyers. They admitted to that they always will resolve any issues for buyer's favour no matter what. You can lost your goods or your money or both! Consider twice selling something expensive on eBay because I would never do that again.

Used their own overseas delivery method, sending 2 item to the same Chinese buyer, via Signed for recorded delivery.
Both items received & signed for by eBay, not notifications of any problems or damage.
Sent on & signed for by buyer.
Buyer then disputes transaction via PayPal. In both cases PayPal release funds, in the 2nd dispute, almost a month after receipt of the item, PayPal raise fraud case against the buyer.
EBay however, happy to allow negative feedback to remain on my 100% positive profile.
I understand that eBay holds money to new sellers. However, if you request a shipping cost you should be able to have that money released in order to print a shipping label. They have change that policy and you can no longer do that anymore. EBay policies suck. How is someone supposed to send out an item that they sell if they cannot get the shipping cost that was requested and paid for? It's no wonder why everyone is turning to Amazon because eBay's policies are absolutely horrible.

Hugo, you were not "tricked". You obviously did not do your homework by investigating the site before blindly plunging in. EBay exists to make money. Period. It is not a cooperative or a charity. Anyone new to eBay must read the "terms of service", where all of the specifics are clearly stated. Perhaps your listing fee was zero (though this is hard to believe), but ebay justifiably takes a "final value fee" that is a percentage of the sale price, as does PayPal.
I was shocked since i was tricked when selling that my fee was " 0 " when it was several hundred dollars!

When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!

When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either.
