I sold a pair of shoes on eBay 2 months ago. I still haven't been paid. I sent in bank statement 3 times, they even deposited cents into my account to prove it was my account. Now they are wanting another statement in COLOR, In COLOR! I just gave up and will never buy or sale again. They never told me an another COLOR statement was due weeks ago. I am a 75yr old senior citizen I don't need this kind of hassle. A joke

Ban by Ebay

I found out I was banned from ebay in 2019.
I opened my account in 2001 and used it sometimes. In 2011 I moved overseas and worked for the U.S. Government at their overseas Embassies for 8 years. I retired in 2019 and moved to my home in the U.S. got on my account in 2022 only to find out ebay ban me from using their site. So ebay banned me from the site the year I returned back to the United States. I call and they did not give me a reason just that I was banned, they said I was a security risk. So after a number of years with an account, not using it for 8 years while living overseas, I come home to a banned account with no explanation. The only thing good about ebay is finding older items that people still have. I would give them a zero but cant.

I had an account for over 10 years and never had a problem.

I always paid and received my items... until recently.

I paid, didn't receive items.
Contacted the seller, and got no response.
I opened a case with ebay and miraculously, the seller claimed they got a delivery notice that my item was dropped off.
Ebay immediately closed the case with me so I'm out of a refund AND what I paid for.

I closed my account after that.
I can't afford to pay for things I may or may not get..

Ebay was great! I sold lots made money. Until i had one transaction that went bad due to a mistake on my behalf. I never got tracking on an item it was only $23.00 dollars. The buyer most likely dishonest and received the coin, but said it never arrived. Ebay kicks my account indefinitely over a mistake! Pretty sad! Hope this helps anyone selling on ebay beware!

Here is a copy of the breakdown of the fee's I had to pay. They take 12.9% go the irs and then the shipping so I have to charge more due to this and it hurts my business. I only use them foe about 5 percent of my business anymore, but I had no clue they have the nerve to charge me for generating tax revenue for the government that I DO NOT get myself. Talk about double taxation! I would like to take the picture of the invoice since I do not want to reveal the buyer but the i copy and pasted review below

I bought a perfume on 09/29/2022 from Valentineperfume and was supposed to get it on 10/05, I contact the seller many times but didn't answer, contact eBay, but they didn't do anything, I tried to cancel, and gave me a message to contact the seller,
I did and the seller didn't answer. I tried to make feedback to the seller, but eBay gave me a message to contact the seller, I don't recommend using eBay they protect the seller from all his violations, I already bought another perfume from another website, but I lost my money when I decided to buy through eBay, this is the first and last time using eBay

GREED - ebay

I am been using ebay since 2002 and have 650+ transactions of buying and selling. When I first started using the platform, the fees were reasonable. Now, the fees are egregious 13% of the sold price. I am closing my account. Ebay represents the very worse in corporate greed.

Paid for specail delivery so paid extra so i can get item quicker but never got item till 4 days and seller admitted they sorry as warehouse made a mistake,,, so all i wanted was what i paid extra for postage and eBay said they cant do nothing... Sellers Beware!

I have been selling on Ebay for more than 16 years. I'v always had a 100% rating. Ebay has become full of hateful people. Recently, I sold a lot of baseball cards. It was clearly written that the cards were used and not graded. It was purchased and afterwards the buyer made false claims that they were terribly damaged and even had the audacity to claim that they had food on them. Buyer for sure was opening package over a smorgasbored and too engulfed in their food to notice what they were doing. Buyer opens a return and quickly cancels and waits to leave negative feedback. This buyer has left negative feedback to other sellers. I have received postive feedback for sales of other cards and all my items. I complained to Ebay to no avail. It is clear Ebay offers no protection for this. It is a policy violation but Ebay outsourced all jobs overseas to employees that don't care about doing the right thing. Ebay and this dishonest customer should be ashamed.

Disgraceful seller care!

Absolutely disgraceful customer service and seller care. I was scammed selling at item and simply told its not their problem, even although the scam buyer had a legitimate account. I waited 2 months for responses from ebay and got nothing unless I repeatedly chased them. My account is now closed. DO NOT BUY OR SELL THROUGH EBAY. SCAMMERS ARE RIFE AND EBAY CANNOT CONTROL THEM AND WILL NOT HELP YOU.

Beware Selling On Ebay

I set up an account on eBay to sell a few items. I sold 8 items in the first few weeks, however, eBay, was holding the sales proceeds until a certain date. Right before that date eBay suspended my account. I called them and they said their was fraudulent activity and permanently suspended my account but would not tell me why they suspected fraud. On top of that they are keeping the money from my sales. It appears they do this a lot and you just are out of luck getting the money back for items you sold. Beware of eBay as it is the biggest fraud out there.

For at least 25 days, you will be sent a computer generated e-mail
Stating that someone will contact you in 3 to 5 business days. I

Not only does eBay charge ridiculously high fees for items you sell but I made a purchase and it never shipped the seller kept giving me run around I asked for refund and was told item would ship after again waiting I reached out to seller only to find that the account had been closed. So I reach out to ebay only to be told sorry nothing they can do its past they're guaranteed date are you serious how could you let this happen and not make it right!? I'm sure I'm not the only one either that this happened to either what a joke ebay!

I recently ordered a DVD through eBay. I received a confirmation on the order and was told that I could expect delivery between November 4th and November 8th. This is the third day since I placed the order and have heard nothing back. I attempted to contact eBay to ask how there was any way possible for me to receive the item by November 4th if it wasn't even being prepared for shipment. There is no way to ask eBay a question, you can only get an answer if your question is one of the 4-5 pre-determined questions in their system. I attempted to cancel the order, and got the reply it was to late to cancel the order, I should contact the seller to try and work it out with them. I attempted to contact the seller, which, although an option in the eBay system, cannot be done in the eBay system. I went through the "Contact Us" option several times with no satisfaction of an actual point of contact. I left the eBay website, looked up online a contact telephone number for Customer Service (I laugh at that title), and called the number. After several minutes of trying to be put in contact with a person, the 800 number recording informed me I would have better luck if I went to the eBay website, and then the number HUNG UP ON ME. As a general rule, in my life, to be ignored I usually have to date a person for awhile. One thing I will say for eBay Customer Service, it makes Amazon seem better. My suggestion to eBay customers is this: If you need service, or just have a question, for eBay, find a strong wall, preferably brick or stone, and beat your head against the wall for what ever period of time you feel is appropriate, that is the Customer Service experience I had with eBay. Always remember, the great thing about beating your head against a wall is that it feels so good when you stop. EBay, I'm stopping.

LI have an ebay store that has sold well over 1500 items. After an item is sold Ebay's faulty software often puts it back in the store even though only one was ever available. Then because likely a sale is a desirable item to buy someone buys it again despite it has been sold and the store only had one of the item. That is bad. But what is worse is that Ebay calls it a defect of the seller when it is Ebay's defect. Ebay is pathetic about responding to their screwed up software. I have put in at least 20 emails telling them about the problem. I designed computer application software. So, I am quite expert in finding errors. They refuse to fix their software. Likely I'm going to close my store and send all of my items over to my Etsy shop.

Poorly run company

I have been using eBay for years. Lately it seems to be filled with scammers. EBay knows the issues because we reach out for help. I had one seller that decided to leave items out of the package. The seller told me that I can buy more items and they will send me the other items. They fought with me the whole way. I had to wait more than a month before I could even reach out to eBay because of their policies.
I am also getting an issue where the item is free shipping but then the seller will turn around and charge me shipping. If you want to put a reserve price then fine but you shouldn't be charging a shipping after you already said it was a free shipping.
